Oh, you saucy temptress...
|
OOC: This is just a "for teh lulz" battle between Hero and me. If by some miracle of God you come online and see this battle, please do NOT post in this. I want to keep it exactly what it is, a 1 vs 1 (no spectators). IC: Three years it had been. The war was over. Territories were claimed. The world was in a standstill state. But still, life went on. Covenant and Armonia hadn't performed any public stunts since the Orc War. People continued their lives. Missions were still given out on a regular basis by village's respective kages. It was hard to believe so much time had passed. Now, as Tenma walked through a forests's pathway, completely covered by his cloak, he had to wonder, who were his friends? His allies? His enemies? His rivals? After all that time and no activity between the great nations, how did the world view each other? Tenma thought back to his students, dead and alive; past and present. Kinachi had passed on long ago, killed by Kin-sensei. Vresilijk was off on his own, further discovering himself. It was fascinating to Tenma that Vresilijk did not bare him ill-will after what he did to Kontan all those years ago. Saki, Akira, and Amatsu were his public students. Saki was already well-experienced and on his own too. Akira and Amatsu were both strong students, but still required guidance. Unknown to most, Tenma also trained Malak, Kin's son. Malak was the most fascinating of them all, for many reasons. Takai; it had been a long time since he had seen his childhood friend. Hero; he was Takai's friend, whether by manipulation or true friendship, but a friend nonetheless. Where did Tenma stand in relation to Hero? He faced the man back in his second Jounin Examinations and defeated him. That was over three years ago. Hero had grown in age and wisdom. Did he grow in combative experience? There was talk among the trade roads and villages that Hero was the next kage in training. These were still lost rumors and mere scare-tactics talk between betters for chuunin and jounin exams. Whether this was true or not did not worry Tenma. As he came to a small clearing from the forest's trail, he could see a spacious, flat ground. A small handful of old, dead trees were spread out evenly among the grassy field and beyond the trees was a gentle river about 3 meters wide and as long as the eye could see from either end, running through the forest. A small, wooden bridge was built across the river for travellers to take, but one man was coming across the bridge now. It was none other than Hosami Hero. Was this a meeting between new friends or a random encounter between village enemies. If it was the former, Hero would know that it was Tenma under the cloak. If it was a random encounter between enemies, Hero would not know immediately. OOC: I'm leaving it up to you. Is this an encounter between us or a friendly, prearranged meeting? |

Konoha's Wave
|
The time has come for old friends to band together and create an everlasting peace. However, this peace is not only for the individuals but the countries in which they reside. Hero, now being the student under the 5th Hokage, Tsunade, it is his goal to bring the countries together as it was before Orochimaru's domination. In other matters, today was a day to meet an old friend and recall times of hardships. The last of them being the Orc War. Ryuuguu Tenma, a rival and close friend was to meet Hero somewhere along this long and narrow forest path. Dressed in his traditional long white cloak and wide-brimmed hat, Hero wandered the path carelessly. The slight breeze and whispers of the forest were as peaceful as the townsfolk in Konoha. Tenma-sama, it has been over 3 years since I have last seen you during the Orc Wars, let alone the Jounin exams. Smirking, Hero wandered to a small wooden bridge in the middle a small clearing. The water ran under it with ease. The sound of the water rushing through the path in which it created filled his ears. It was a sound of pure bliss. His first step onto the bridge disrupted the nature's natural orchestra. Thoughts came rushing through his his head, mainly memories of the past and how powerful Tenma was. However, not only has time grown, Hero has as well. The Jounin exams was the last event that Hero and Tenma were able to compare their strength against one another. "Ryuuguu Tenma, it has been quite some old friend. It is great to see you." Hero spoke in firm and caring words as his motion across the bridge ceased. He pulled of his hat as he looked down at the bridge and the sun shined off of his headband. The same headband that the second Hokage, Nidaime wore. The hat dropped to the bridge and dissipated, as if it was a summon. Looking up at Tenma, Hero wore a wide grin and squinting eyes. The sun beamed down into the clearing, making the dense forest look as if it was a never ending darkness. He seems different. |

"Hero-sama, it's been long." Tenma removed the hood of his cloak from his head and allowed it to hang off his shoulders and upper back in rest. Moving his hands away from the hood, Tenma brought his hand together, his left hand open and the right hand in a fist. It was a salute. He bowed partially with his salute outward in front of his face and paused for a moment before straightening out and reaching out to Hero's shoulders. It was unusual to see someone as war-torn as Tenma smiling at anyone except his sensei, but there he was, beaming at Hero. Hero's thoughts were indeed true. Tenma really had changed. "How've you been, my friend?" Haunting pasts were never forgotten. Who could forget Otogakure no Ijin, Devil of the Sound? His name was infamous and his war stories were legend. Yet here he stood, face to face, with one of the kindest, most genuine-hearted Konoha jounins in history. Tenma removed his hands from Hero's shoulders and beckoned him back to the bridge. At the middle of the bridge, Tenma stood with arms crossed over his abdomen. "Otogakure no Sato is as cruel as ever. I'm a completely different person there. Cold, calculating... but activity is scarce. Orochimaru has his plans for the future, but movements are being made by many separate organizations against his reign." Of course, Tenma was referring to Covenant, but Hero didn't know that. Likewise, Tenma had no idea that Hero was a loyal member of Armonia. "I was not followed. I've set up traps all along the way and deployed decoys to throw off my trail. Nobody would be fool enough to question my actions either way. But enough of these matters. How've you been? ... How is my home...?" Few knew, but Tenma was of Konoha heritage. In his question, he referred to his sensei and his ruins, the one that Takai and Tenma visited all those years ago. |

Konoha's Wave

It seems that Orochimaru is still on the move, with other organizations to counter it. Armonia being on of those major contributors. Hero was one of the original members to help prevent the spread of evil like Orochimaru. Unfortunately, those forces have been dwindling down to almost no help at all. Nonetheless, the power of Otogakure is still strong even with the ninja on the down-low, like Tenma. However, it lifted Hero's spirits to know that his friend Tenma is not 100% loyal in the mad-killing actions of Oto anymore. "Even if you did not lay traps Tenma-sama, no one would dare follow the great Ryuuguu Tenma!" Hero smirked and chuckled and was happy to see a smile come upon Tenma's face. How was Konohagakure, huh? It is all right for the townsfolk, but for the Shinobi and office workers in the Hokage tower, things are devastating. Missions about foreign shinobi are piling to the roof within Tsunade's office and we do not have enough qualified ninja to do them all in a sufficient manor. But, how could Hero say something like this to Tenma, a bloodline relative to Konoha? "I am doing well Tenma, the training I am currently in has been the toughest by far. Not only for strength, but respect and wisdom in Konoha.... Oh, and speaking of Konoha, it was been going well there. I must admit though, it would be a great asset to have you there, much more would get done. The people of Konoha are happy but the ninja are running thin, Tenma." Hero let out a long but quiet sigh and looked up into the sky while grabbing onto his headband, a symbol of Konoha. It is hard for him to look at Konoha in state of chaos. The land of Fire is suppose to be filled with pride, peace and love. Not a constant worry of attacks from other nations since that faithful Chuunin exams long ago with the renounced Uzumaki Naruto, and Uchiha Sasuke. "As a friend, and not a ninja of Otogakure no Sato, I confide and tell you that the force in Konoha is not up to par as it used to be. Though we have many elite shinobi, we have too many high-ranked missions flooding in about ninja from Suna, Oto and Kiri that are trying to invade our borders. However, Tsunade-sama and I are on top of these missions and doing the best we can to serve the Land of Fire and keep it safe. I have faith we will pull through, but it may take some time." Turning to the edge of the bridge, Hero nodded to himself in reassurance. Edited by Hero, Dec 26 2011, 06:12 PM.

Oh, you saucy temptress...

It was hard to hear that his heritage village was in such turmoil and distress. It felt even worse considering Tenma was heavily responsible for Konoha's drastic reduction in efficient, high-ranking ninjas. During the Orc War, Tenma's mini-war with Tatsujin caused an untold number of casualties. It was Tenma's most infamous act. He single-handedly slaughtered over one hundred high-ranking Konoha nins with his firepower and nearly killed a superhuman while fending off the great Gekkou Kin at the same time. It was hard to explain Tenma's transformation. Maybe it was something his sensei said. Kin: No brother.... No BROTHER of mine!!!!!! Maybe it was Tenma's final days of adolescence telling him to rebel against Orochimaru in more ways than just through Covenant. Whatever it was, Tenma had changed. He was glad to hear that Hero was still so strong-willed after all these years. Tenma rested a hand on Hero's shoulder. "I know you don't like hearing my apologies so I won't. I still do feel responsible, as I should feel. But we're not here to dwell on past pains... at least... not all of them." Tenma walked off the bridge and withdrew Hogetsu. "It's been a while since we sparred. What do you say to one more bout? Think you can keep up?" Tenma smirked at Hero, swinging his blade masterfully before holding it in front of himself. |

"'Keep up' you say? I am not the same Chuunin that you last encountered Tenma. I am...." Hero smiled and pointed at the leaf symbol present on his headband while grabbing a small dagger from his waist line with his right hand. The dagger had a blue gem imbedded within one of the two blades that the dagger consisted of. Even without the flow of chakra, a darker and lighter blue color swirled around within the precious stone. "The next Hokage!" Slightly bending forward, Hero shot forward with great speed. He threw his dagger straight up into the air above Tenma and formed two hand seals, dog then ram. After the quick seals, he put his left hand forward and his right slightly back and continued to rush toward Tenma directly, even with Hogetsu there. "Suiton style! Wave barrage!" Hero lunged upward toward his dagger roughly ten feet from Tenma and flipped two times in the air, like a whirling wave. He grabbed the handle of his dagger with his right hand and with all of his weight came down upon his sparring partner. Though there were many movements, this sequence only last a second or two. The true speed and strength of Hero is not being held back. Unlike the past, Hero's control of his chakra and inner spirit has been fine tuned to battle and emotional control. Tenma, I am not playing it safe any further. You do not have Takai to team up with! |

Tenma whipped out a black scroll and summoned the contents as a pair of mythril greaves appeared on his feet and shins. "Excellent! Show me that you're worthy of that title then!" Tenma watched the flashy acrobatics fall into place before him as he raised Hogetsu up. With his periphery, he could see the river was still shallow and timid. Hero did not interact with the river it seemed. Tenma wasn't going to hold back either way. To hide his strength would be an insult to the future Hokage. As Hero came down upon him, Tenma jumped backward into a flashkick (a backflip with a vertical kick upward in a slicing manner). It didn't matter that a blade was coming down upon him. The legging armor he summoned moments ago would protect him from the dagger's sharp edge. He aimed his armor-backed kick at Hero's jaw to stun him. Whether he hit Hero or not, his momentum would carry him over into a full backflip. As he came into an upright position, Tenma swiped his sword in a horizontal arc and a bright blue blaze followed the slash, forming an arc of fire that rushed forward to strike the potentially dazed Hero. Tenma was approximately five feet away from Hero at this point. The fire would be coming to hit Hero, who would have just landed and been recovering from either 1.) the impact with the ground or 2.) the impact with the ground and the flashkick. Konoha's Wave
|
Fast and strong, same as the old days. Hero smirked on his way down and knew that his attack was evaded quite simply. Before the blade would hit, he threw his arms down and let the kick contact him. Why would any ninja purposely let an attack be successful? The foot slammed into Hero's chin, but slide right through his head. A crashing sound similar to waves was emitted. The seals he performed earlier, activated his water replacement jutsu that allows for his body to temporarily become water to prevent physical damage from taijutsu. When Hero landed, he began a few hand seals and focusing his chakra to his hands. Since the jutsu lasts about a half of a minute after the initial impact, the sword attack from the Hogetsu slide right through his body with ease. Knowing this would happen, it did not interfere with his jutsu. "Going old school! Suiton! Akua Myaku." Hero clapped his hands together and, at the stationary Tenma, water from the ground and the river rushed passed Hero. The pull from his chakra, that was affiliated with water, used the water and fused with it to create a missile like projectile from his hands. This projectile was six feet in height and four feet in width, traveling at an extremely high velocity of roughly ten feet per second. The water infused chakra ripped through the ground which it flew on top of and emitted a loud sound from the ripping earth below. Hero jumped backward in a backflip right after the projectile was released. In mid-air, he pulled out a black scroll and whipped it open. Directly after the release, a swarm of 20 shuriken were let out. The shuriken fanned out above, directly at and to the sides of Tenma's current position. Hero then landed upon the slow moving shallow river by releasing a small amount of chakra to his feet, a basic technique. Upon his landing, he pulled his broad sword off of his back and held it blade down in front of himself. |

Oh, you saucy temptress...

Here it comes! As the wave of water rushed forward, Tenma coated his feet in chakra and kicked hard against the ground, propelling himself back as far as he could. From above, he could see the rain of shuriken flying down at him from all angles except behind him. The wall of water and shuriken were all going to pose a problem if he did not expend a little chakra of his own. "Nenshou Ryuusei..." From out of Tenma's body, a sphere of spiraling fire encased him, blazing a brilliant blue color. Tenma lurched upward and forward, easily taking out any incoming shuriken with his ultimate defense. The wall of water was another problem though. However strong his fire was, enhanced by the Ryuujin or not, it was still going to be weak against water. The upper wall of the water slammed against the dome. Fortunately for Tenma, since it was only the upper section of the water blast, the suiton attack was not as strong as it would have been at the center. Tenma's ultimate defense rang true, but did succeed in altering the flow of the fire dome's spiraling motion. Now the dome spiraled downward and Tenma accepted its rotation as he plunged toward the river and Hero, slamming into the ground just before the river's edge. Earth and blisteringly hot flames leaped forward from the impact (as if a meteorite struck the earth) and molten chunks of earth now came flying at Hero. Now for some insurance... As high-ranking battles seemed to flow, Hero would possibly counter with a defensive suiton jutsu of his own. The fact that he was balancing on the river added even more to that predictive defense. If he didn't, it would only add to Hero's downfall. Flames and molten rock were propelling toward him. The heat and flames would prove dangerous to Hero's condition. If he allowed the heat and flames to grow too close to him, he could risk evaporation in his water replacement jutsu state. Tenma was counting on that fact when he made his next move. In a flash of handseals, Tenma prepared his next move. "Katon - Hirata Gogyou (Fire Element - Simple Fire)." Tenma leaped back a few meters and snapped his fingers five times. A small explosion would occur for every snap of the fingers. The blast would have a radius of 2 feet, but the blast would have a one second time delay so it would not be impossible to dodge, but not easy either. If Hero used a defense against the initial attack like predicted, the Simple Fire technique would occur inside the defense, in the space/gap between Hero and his defensive technique. A true test of his worthiness. If he can't keep up with the heat of the battle, he can never become hokage. That water replacement technique... it's extremely useful in a taijutsu pinch, but not against ninjutsu. My flames could very well kill him if he does not evade well, especially if he traps himself inside his own defense. Wherever he runs, I'll place the next Hirata Gogyou combustion in his next position. Even underwater, an explosion can occur. I can sense your chakra. It stinks of suiton. Kin-sensei taught me well. Konoha's Wave

I am not that slow Tenma, I am a suiton master, I have amazing chakra control. Do not underestimate that. Hero smirked and noticed Tenma's extravagant evasion skills come into play. Hero excreted a small amount of chakra to release the replacement jutsu while tossing back his sword to dry land. Nonetheless, the flames came flying down toward the edge of the small river and Hero knew there was more to come. Tenma was definitely a combination type player as any ninja should be. He made a string of rapid seals, jumped back six feet and spoke as the vortex of flames was on its way down. First was the ram. "Jutsu combination, Suiton Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu Douton Iwa no Yoroi!" From the front of him, a water clone formed. But, there was something unusual about it. It was covered in a thick layer of stone. He used the element of earth from under the river, to rapidly form around his clone simultaneously. The mud infused with chakra creates unnatural properties which is determined by the technique which rapidly drys the mud into a superficial earth-like defense. In front of Hero, this creates not only a clone, but a body guard of stone that would block the frontal flame attack. As I thought. Directly after the first offensive move by Tenma, which was blocked by the clone statue. Around the same time Hero was landing from the jump, the first "Simple Fire" explosion occurred in front of him, from about 2 and a half feet. This threw Hero backward with a significant amount of heat and pressure that was very unexpected. Hero bent backwards and did multiple back hand springs, as the string of explosions continued very close to him. Yet, they seemed to have a second delay. Having the half of foot original distance from the first explosion, Hero was able to keep up a distance that would not create a significant amount of damage. He escaped the main portion of the barrage but sustained damage from the initial blow, leaving him with slight burns on his arms and neck. "Not going easy I see." I guess it is time to pull out the big guns. "[Mokuton] Kujo Mokusei Kunai Totsugeki (Destruction Wooden Kunai Assault)!" Hero grabbed an explosive tag and placed his palms and the tag on the ground and fused two of his distinct chakras, douton and suiton together. The ground would starts to shake around Tenma as six foot high beams burst out of the ground and surround him within 5 feet from him. Hero knew that Tenma's element was katon, so it would be easy to predict what he would do with a Mokuton styled attack. However, this jutsu was special. The beams, after their formation, started to shoot out wooden kunai from six different locations around Tenma. Each beam shot out six kunai as well, making a total of thirty six. But, another surprise was added, each kunai was explosive. If Tenma would use any flames to block the kunai, they would detonate. Either way, explosions would occur. It would also be obvious for Tnema to jump up to avoid the kunai from the beams. Yet, Hero can control the points and direction in which the kunai would launch from the beams. I am not an ordinary ninja Tenma. I have the will and passion to protect and fight for what is right. I use that passion to help condition myself and create myself into the best shinobi possible. My chakra levels are great, along with my determination. |
