The sky was in a particularly weird mood today, it's color was a mixture between purple and orange, the ones seen most often when the sun had just set. However it was still in the middle of the day, a calm breeze blew past him. It was still bright enough to properly see everything in the area. It was the ideal scenario for the fight that would soon commence. Nature always had a way to compliment moods. Tetsuo stood over a large leveled plain, a few trees and large boulders were present as well. His opponent stood a good fifty meters away, the range Tetsuo was hoping to keep him for the duration of the fight, he was horrible at close range. He had to fight for his life, after all this time Tetsuo's heinous crimes had finally caught up to him. He never took chances and was extremely careful but this time his luck had polarized against him at a most horrible moment. Ryyugu Tenma was sent to hunt down his former squad mate; whom he had never worked it either due to being more involved in very special operations. This was his one advantage, Tenma knew almost nothing on him aside from that he used puppets and excelled at genjutsu. Tetsuo on the other hand had a better idea on Tenma's abilities but it was still of minimal use for he has never seen them used in battle. Tetsuo never believed his crimes to be wrong but had little choice but to flee when they discovered he was the culprit behind a kidnapping and several body experimentations. He escaped narrowly in time but there was no escape now.

Juri was already prepared for combat, standing in front of Tetsuo, whom's chakra strings were especially vibrant. He was calm and collected as usual, he knew his chances, Ryuugu Tenma was an extraordinarily powerful ninja but Tetsuo believed himself to be a good match-up for him. His strengths were Tenma's weak points and vice versa, it was a fight that could tip in each one of there favor's rather easily. He hesitated on attacking first and decided to wait, staying alert and defensive. A plethora of strategies came to mind, he absorbed all of them slowly and thoughtfully.

" Tenma-taichou, what are you waiting for? You surely can't be afraid of someone like me...". He spoke with a playful tone and almost condescending but this was far from his own demeanor.

The wind picked up momentarily as Tenma pushed his hair back from his eyes, looking around. Nobody else was around. Tenma didn't have to hide his power or limit his range of jutsus that he would use. The Otokage sent him on a special mission to hunt down Tetsuo for his crimes. It was an assassination mission and either way, at least one person would die before the altercation could conclude.

Everything's set. No spectators, open field... it's too bad it had to be him... he was a good one.

"Even after Orochimaru's fall, you couldn't help but carry on his experiments. I'm ashamed of you, Tetsuo-kun. I guess all good tools eventually do rust out. It was only a matter of time."

Tenma did not know too much about Tetsuo other than what he'd read up or seen. Tetsuo used puppets to his advantage and due to his experimental nature, he probably played with poisons as well. The only other thing Tenma knew for sure was that Tetsuo was that he had a taste for torture. His jutsus would probably have the same qualities as well.

"Let's get this over with."

Tenma darted to the left, dashing behind a boulder momentarily before appearing seconds later with two kunais, one in each hand. Approaching with good speed, Tenma whipped one of the kunai at Tetsuo's chest. A split second later, he changed his course of travel, dashing to the right while tossing the second kunai at Tetsuo's puppet's feet and holding a seal.

"Kai!"

A tag that was placed on the second kunai ignited and suddenly burst into flames as an explosion sounded out beneath the puppet. Tenma kept running, heading behind another boulder before reappearing at the other end of the boulder.

" A tool? I always did what I believed would be best for me, what I could benefit the most from. That's hardly a tool, I've hardly killed people in the name of war but in the name of science, it was all for personal gain. You on the other hand, you fit that description much better. How many have you killed in the name of others? A man chooses his destiny, a slave obeys. That is why your here isn't it, not because you want to be here but because you were ordered. You are the tool, slowly rusting out. I am the embodiment of ideas, and ideas my captain....never die. " He finished right on time as Tenma didn't bother waiting for him to finish, he was sure his words wouldn't fall on deaf ears however either.

Tetsuo's eyes quickly followed Tenma's course of action, he knew the boulders would be used to swap himself with clones eventually. This wouldn't prove to be much of a problem defensively but it would make things annoying offensively. The first kunai came in fast but with a flick of his finger he directed the puppet to intervene, deflecting the kunai with a blade attached to it's arm. He managed to take quick notice of the kunai and Juri's right arm opened at each side revealing fan panels that emitted chakra, she firmly planted it on the kunai and held the explosion in place, when removing the chakra panel a crack in the floor could be seen and the trapped smoke quickly rose through the air. His opponent had already closed in some considerable distance, Tetsuo payed close attention and jumped back while Juri rushed forward. Behind Tetsuo there was but one tree, the rest of the boulders were to his right and left. He pulled out a scroll and dropped it to the floor in front of him and biting his thumb, he would be needing it soon.

Juri went for a much more direct attack, Tenma would surely be surprised at how fast it actually moved. Before it completely closed in on him, it's mouth fell open and released a green gas, forcing Tenma to hold his breath for the remainder of the attack. This was his first plan, he would slowly try and exhaust his opponent by continually attacking and releasing this gas. Juri's poisoned blades extended from her arms and started swiping at Tenma, inhaling the poison would slowly paralyze him while the poisoned blades would temporarily paralyze the part of the body which it struck. Tetsuo had twenty twenty vision and was following the fight and holding a high consideration for details, if Juri came in any great danger he would have it's limbs automatically detach to avoid any grave problem.

As expected, nothing worked. What would two simple little kunai do against an ANBU fresh and ready for combat? Preparing for Tetsuo's counter, Tenma tugged back with his left hand while drawing Hogetsu from his right hip with his right hand. Holding Hogetsu in guard position (similar to how Sasuke holds his Kusanagi), Tenma watched the puppet rocket forward, taken slightly aback by its speed.

It's a lightweight puppet then...... it can't take too many hits probably. But the weaker ones are the most deadly. Tetsuo must have loaded this puppet with quite an arsenal.

One of said arsenals came Tenma's way as a large green smokescreen overcame him and the puppet. Tenma figured it was a paralyzing or intoxicating gas and held his breath right away and whipped his left hand forward. The first kunai he'd thrown had a wire attached to it (which Tenma attached from behind the first boulder) and Tenma immediately whipped it around Juri's arms, binding them in together. Tenma knew this simple bind would not last long and put it to good use right away. Pulling back behind the boulder that he stood next to, Tenma tugged hard at Juri, pulling the poisoned blades toward himself. From behind the boulder, a sudden loud blast of fire and heat burst out, blowing aside the green gas and knocking Juri back a considerable distance. Tenma came around from the other side of the boulder, running at high speeds toward the unprotected Tetsuo with Hogetsu in his left hand now.

That Furea-Kage Bunshin came in handy after all. And the blast it let off from its explosion hopefully kept that dreadful puppet at bay.

Tenma rushed forward with tremendous speed. He knew Tetsuo was a dangerous opponent and did not wish to waste any time. He saw the scroll appear on the ground and pulled out a kunai with his free hand, tossing it as fast as he possibly could at the scroll in an attempt to impale and tear the fabric before it could be used to summon anything. When Tenma was about ten feet away from Tetsuo, Tenma let out a strong flash of bright white light from his body. The light would either temporarily blind Tetsuo or force him to close his eyes if he was fast enough. Either way, with Tetsuo potentially incapacitated, Tenma immediately moved into action, sacrificing his strength for intense speed. From Tenma's body, he emitted another Kage Fuera-Bunshin. It would let out a quickdraw slash for Tetsuo's chest with the clone of Hogetsu. When the sword made contact (with either Tetsuo's flesh or the his defensive maneuver), the clone would explode into flame, burning the opponent and catching him off guard with the blast. The real Tenma would then appear from behind Tetsuo, sending a volley of deathstrokes all aimed for Tetsuo's vitals.

"Tatsu no Mai (Dragon Dance)!"

Tetsuo knew from the very beginning he needed to summon Tokido but decided to use it's entrance as a surprise attack. He was itching for Tenma to attack him from all sides, dropping the scroll in front of him and giving him an obvious warning apparently changed nothing. Juri's onslaught lasted but momentarily, Tenma quickly finding a way to bind the opponent as it was attacking but such simple bindings barely did anything. Wiggling his thumb and then spinning his index finger he ordered Juri's stored arms to come out of it's back, prepared with blades that instantly cut the wire that binded it's two other hands. In total Juri had four arms. Pulling it back proved to be effective for only a second as the release of the wires allowed it to regain balance, the explosion however still caught it off guard and the puppet was sent flying back a distance, Tetsuo's eyes glanced the battlefield. One question came to mind, how fast would it be able to recover? The fight had turned serious very fast.

The kunai came in fast but wasn't fast enough, Tetsuo slamming his hand on the scroll and immediately initiating strong defensive measures. A cloud of smoke shot up and revealed the seven feet tall puppet, Tetsuo creating chakra strings on his free hand to control the massive mechanic creature. The blinding light didn't affect Tetsuo as he was hidden behind Tokido. The massive puppet picked up it's hand and slammed it to the floor. The ground slam created a seismic wave going in a 15 feet radius around them. Tetsuo's motion flowing perfectly with that of his puppet as he jumped up and over the puppet, ready to attack Tenma after the wave pushed out only to realize Tenma was no longer there. The wave had caught the clone and caused it to erupt in an explosion seconds earlier, the aftermath of the blast released a heat that temporarily blinded him.

Fuck, I can't see! There's only one thing I can do now...

He quickly carried out two simple seals, the chakra strings waving through each other while this motion was taking place, chakra could not entangle itself in chakra. A small layer of chakra presented itself over Tetsuo, making it difficult for his opponent to directly stare at him for any longer than a second. It was a genjutsu technique that affected the eye sight, he could only hope it would serve him long enough to recover his eye sight, which was exactly three seconds. An opening of three seconds is what Tenma had. Tokido was still in place, between Tenma and Tetsuo. The only order logical enough for the puppet to carry out since Tetsuo had no idea of Tenma's position was to send out seismic waves by continuously slamming it's hand on the floor. He hoped this would be enough.

OOC: Man, this took long, let me know if there's anything you disagree with.

OOC: Your post is fine to me. Unless it's something ridiculous, odds are I won't complain.

IC:
Tenma's kunai did not hit its target as Tetsuo immediately took action, summoning what seemed to be another puppet. This one Tenma had no knowledge of aside from what he could see now. This puppet was a tank of great proportions. It would probably be able to withstand several hits before going down. However, its offensive ability was still a mystery to Tenma. He'd have to be attacked before he could determine the appropriate counter strategy to eliminate it.

As Tenma initiated Tatsu no Mai (Man, I love the name of this jutsu hahaha), Tetsuo's puppet took immediate action, sending out seismic waves of chakra through the ground. As Tetsuo jumped forward, the clone appropriately exploded, leaving Tetsuo temporarily blinded and disoriented. It seemed like the perfect opportunity to strike for Tenma until his eyesight started failing him.

Everything's... wavy? I... don't understand. A special ANBU jutsu? Maybe genjutsu?

Tenma didn't have time to ponder. He couldn't let Tetsuo get away so easily. Tetsuo was still blinded and disoriented from the blast. Tenma took a leap into the air, clearing over Tokido as the seismic chakra waves came through the ground again at random. Tenma had nearly been caught off guard from the waves due to the effects of the genjutsu, but he hadn't gotten away completely. Rocks covering the ground were thrown up from the seismic waves and several pelted Tenma's legs, leaving small bruises.

Tetsuo's other puppet is still too far away and he doesn't know my location. I have to strike now!

Tenma ignored the stinging feel of the impacting rocks, pulling out another kunai-tag combination. Tetsuo still didn't know where Tenma was since he had his back turned to him and that was Tenma's sole advantage. Tetsuo was still immobile due to the concentration required of his genjutsu and Tenma took advantage of this (unknowingly since he still did not know if it was genjutsu or not) and immediately launched the kunai at Tetsuo's turned back, aiming for his spine. The kunai would not hit his spine though. Since Tenma's vision was blurred from the genjutsu, it would go off course and potentially hit his upper left back, near the shoulder blade. The tag exploded as Tenma called out, "Kai!"

OOC:

Oh, I have a quick question actually... the sky is orange and purple... did you send out a massive wave of poison from your giant summon before the match started?

OOC: Nope

The blinding light even made Tetsuo temporarily lose his footing, he pulled inwards with his left hand in an attempt to bring Juri closer for aid when he would recover, all of this was happening so fast in the heat of battle. Seconds became crucial, it was a higher sense of focus someone could only develop by continually fighting for his life. The kunai came flying at him, there was nothing he could do to stop it now, regaining his eyesight didn't matter now. He couldn't just sense a kunai was flying at him from behind, luck however favored him greatly. The kunai made contact with his steel tail, bouncing off of it and then exploding a mere second later four feet away from him, sending Tetsuo flying in the opposite direction. His body fell against the floor with a quick thud, his body rolling over twice before he quickly managed to pick himself up.

He sustained no heavy injuries, his back hurt from the fall and he had some irritating burns on the back of his head where the his armor no longer continued but for the rest he was fine. His coat was somewhat burned, Tetsuo grinned and took it completely off, revealing a layer of chain-mail armor and more important, his tail. He had allowed a well known medical ninja help him surgically attach it a few years back, despite hardly using it was of great advantage in a fight. Especially if his opponent closed in him too quickly, he was planning on using it for a surprise attack but unfortunately this was no longer possible.

His fingers made fast movements, he regained his eyesight but knew his genjutsu was still in effect, it was the perfect opportunity to conceal himself. Tenma was in an ideal position, Tokido was well behind him and Juri was a few feet away from Tetsuo, right between the two. Juri dashed in as it's mouth opened, sending a wave of kunai's at Tenma while Tokido struck the ground once more, this time he was sending the seismic waves in straight lines. Forcing Tenma to move in the direction of the oncoming attacks, if the wave struck Tenma he would instantly lose balance and fall to the floor, leaving him even more open to an attack. The kunai's weren't the real threat however, as Juri was charging a beam attack it could use. In the mean time Tetsuo strung together several seals, the real fight finally started.

" ...Yoga Zen, Ancient Chameleon Technique. "

By releasing a constant stream of chakra from his body, he could blend in with his surroundings, essentially mimicking a chameleon's ability. He was planning on using the jutsu for as long as possible, even if it drained a big chunk of chakra. He took a few steps back and started becoming one with the large boulder behind him.

As the kunai was struck aside to explode four feet away, Tenma frowned in disappointment. His trap only had minimal success. Giving Tetsuo minor back pain and a small burn to the back of his head wasn't his intention. He needed the man dead. Tetsuo immediately made his own move as Juri returned to his side.

This has become troublesome. He has control of two puppets now and... what's this...?

As Juri approached from the front, Tetsuo began emitting a strange chakra and soon enough, he seemed to almost disappear completely. When Tetsuo spoke the name of the jutsu, an epiphany overcame him. Tenma had seen this technique once before. It was similar to one of Seisho's Kekkai Genkai techniques and it incorporated the same animal. Last time, Tenma did not know how to deal with the jutsu. This time, Tenma had an ace up his sleeve; a very simple ace. He wouldn't reveal it just yet though. For the time being, he had to deal with a wall of kunais coming his way. While Tenma was distracted with the chameleon jutsu, the first few kunais struck true. One impaled his left side, another one scathed his right shoulder, yet another impaled his ANBU vest, cutting into his abdomen slightly, and the final one left a nice cut along his left arm. The first and last kunais did their damage, but the one to his shoulder did not bother him. From his encounter with Hidan many years ago, his right arm up to his shoulder was numbed to pain. Tenma did not allow any more to come near him though. Even though they weren't poison-tipped kunai, he didn't need the extra damage. With one powerful stroke of his blade, Hogetsu let out a strong wave of fire, striking any incoming kunais off course. His actions prevented him from having to move toward Tokido and its seismic waves fortunately. The blue fire arc did not stop there though. It jettisoned forward at tremendous speed, heading directly for Juri at an angle. From there, Tenma let out a very thin heatwave. Tetsuo wouldn't feel it; it wasn't meant for disorientation. It was too small of a heatwave.

I got you...

If the arc of fire struck true, it would easily damage Juri. Tenma did not stop there though. He sent out two more arcs of fire. It was clear Juri was preparing another attack, stronger this time. Odds were, at the speed his first fire arc was moving at, it would collide with Juri's incoming beam attack. That's where the next two arcs came into play. The second and thrid arcs were heading straight for Juri after the first fire arc canceled out the beam attack. There were two options now. First was that the arcs would strike Juri, damaging the puppet and hindering its ability to perform at top condition. If Juri moved however, the arcs would alter their angle by a few degrees and head straight for Tetsuo and the boulder that Tetsuo's back was facing. At the speeds it was moving, it would hopefully catch the unsuspecting Tetsuo off guard. After all, Tetsuo believed himself to be safe from sight and if that was true, it could potentially mean Tetuso thought he was safe from attack. Tenma would be able to alter the trajectory of the fire waves from his second Kekkai Genkai ability, Katon Manipulation. That wasn't the impressive part though; it was how Tenma knew Tetsuo was next to the boulder. Odds were though that Tetsuo wouldn't realize Tenma knew his location. Because the fire waves were moving at an angle, their change in direction by a few degrees would barely be noticeable. It would easily be seen as coincidence that the fire missed Juri and continued onward to the boulder that Tetsuo stood in front of. All this was assuming that Juri moved in the first place.

Now to play it off...

Tenma immediately began looking around, as if to suggest he didn't know where Tetsuo was. He didn't want Tetsuo to release his jutsu just yet. The more he utilized the jutsu, the more fatigued he would become. Tenma held Hogetsu at a guard and strafed to his left, keeping both puppets in his sights now. All he had to do now was see if his attacks succeeded in striking either Juri or Tetsuo.

Tetsuo had grew easily tired of being on the defensive for so long, which was why he was channeling his own chakra into his puppet by use of the chakra strings, preparing a powerful attack. In the mean time however he cancelled Tokido's onslaught of seismic waves and the massive machine retracted it's limbs, gaining the shape of a round ball as it began rolling forward. He incorporated the use of it's back-shell for this movement, Tokido became a virtually unstoppable force. Tetsuo easily controlled it's course of movement and commandeered it in Tenma's direction, he couldn't see him getting out of this without some damage. There was no way he could anticipate Tenma's heatwave but there one mistake his opponent had conveniently made as well. Doubting the power of Juri's attack. It was one of the deadliest moves in his arsenal, tiger cannon. It was no regular attack, fusing two elements to create a powerful blast. Juri's mouth dropped open and it's body pulled back at the release of a massive ball of flame enveloped in an electrical current.

The attack tore right through the first heat wave and continued to move forward at a rapid speed, if it collided with the next two arcs it would slow down considerably and become weaker, granting Tenma certain escape from it although he would still have to hold Tokido into consideration. If he changed it's course however, it would continue at full speed making it difficult to evade and extremely troublesome because of Tokido's roll-out. Tetsuo began taking counter measures early, having Juri ready and prepared to release poisonous gas from it's body if Tenma moved forward to attack. He slowly started taking a few steps back, nothing that brought him out of range of Tenma's attacks but he had already started pondering over where to go next. It was obviously a bad decision to stay in one single area for the remainder of his concealment.

Soon my captain, this will all become very troublesome for you...
