Oh, you saucy temptress...
One could say he trained all his students here because it was the perfect blend of every environment. It had tall, dry grass for cover. There were obstacles all over, ranging from trees and boulders to tiny roots that could trip even skilled shinobi if they did not pay heed to where they stepped in the dense grassland. Even the environment provided it all; rainy days, sunny days, foggy days on rare occasion. It was perfect.

But none of those wonderful perks were the reason that Tenma trained them here. It was because of nostalgia. He learned about this place from his own sensei. It was an incredible and probably accidental discovery, but all his successes rooted from training here and so did all of his students' successes.

"I won't go easy on you this time, Malak. Don't think you can get away with that again..."

The stunning black gleam from Hogetsu glinted brilliantly as Tenma swung the blade around his body a few times before halting in place, the sword pointed directly at Malak.

Malak smirked a bit, he widened his feet into a combat stance and drew Tensa Zangetsu. Unlike his father who had sheathed the sword on his left side and drew across in typical Iajutsu style, Malak preferred a more modern style in which the blade was sheathed on his right side, allowing him to draw it much faster on short notice, with no need to reach across his entire body to get to his blade. When draw the blade was held backward, Malak held it up behind his own back. To most sword fighters this looks like a foolish strategy, not only was his sword not in a position to guard or attack, but it was actually behind him. But that was where most fighters were fooled, his uncanny style made him a vicious opponent.

"Okay so no bloodline this time, simple enough"

Malak coursed his chakra into the blade of Tensa Zangetsu, which was forged so that it could utilize the chakra of it's user, in Malak's case it was lightning nature. This gave the blade a pale blue color, and small arcs of electricity danced over the blade, it also gave off a faint humming sound. Malak dashed forward with great speed, slashing for Tenma. If the attack hit it would be lethal, but both Malak and Tenma knew there was no way he could hit like that.

The faint humming sound of Tensa Zangetsu grew louder as Malak approached, and within less than one second, the assault was upon Tenma. Tenma's blade flared up and the elements clashed discordantly, letting out a horrible buzzing and hissing sound as sparks disseminated out around them. The two held position for a second, blades grinding against each other angrily, but it wasn't going to stay a stalemate for long. The hand seal wasn't even seen, but Tenma created a Furea Kage Bunshin as Malak had rushed in and it now stood behind Malak, sending a spinning heel kick at Malak's ribcage to throw him aside. Already, thoughts were flying through his mind. Malak was one of the most clever shinobi born and with Orochimaru and Tenma training him, one secretly of course, even Tenma had to think on his toes when he faced him.

"What's wrong? Stop trying to hit me and just hit me!"

The kick hit Malak sending him flying to the left and rolling to a stop. He did not even see Tenma make the clone, but in all honesty he was not surprised. Tenma was an extremely fast ninja, especially in terms of dexterity, Malak knew that he would never in his life ever top Tenma as he was right now in dexterity.

alright time to show off that new move I practiced

Tenma would inevitably see Malak's next move coming, or in some sense of the word he would. Malak's favorite move, hands down, was his telekinesis. It was no actual telekinesis par se, he actually enveloped his desired target in a thing "cloud" of chakra, and then manipulated it as such, he usually required a full and perfect view of the object, but he was getting better at simply making these clouds of chakra in any shape he desired. This next trick was one he had been practicing for a while.

The ground beneath Tenma and his clone would suddenly seem to give way by an inch or so, this was due to the earth beneath them becoming dense when enveloped in chakra. Next a spike would shoot upward from the ground, Malak had taught himself to use telekinesis on the soil beneath his feet, without actually having to observe it, of course his skill with this technique was limited, mostly to either making the earth cave in by a few feet, or shooting up a spike. He was more than sure this was going to kill the clone, as clones were never quite as faster or strong as the original, but he knew Tenma would dodge, but hopefully would be surprised. As he performed this action he rushed to his feet and held his free hand out, shooting a wave of blue electricity toward Tenma's general direction.

Tenma's snarky remark was matched with an uneasy feeling around him. This was no doton jutsu. It was Malak's telekinesis. The ground sharply sunk beneath his feet and moments later, a large spike formed from the ground, charging upward to impale both Tenma and his clone. The clone did not pull away in time and was destroyed, leaving behind an explosion of fire in the air. Tenma on the other hand, though shocked at how much Malak's powers had grown even after five years, was well prepared and took a great leap, pushing off the spike and landing halfway between Malak and the spike. Shooting after Malak, Tenma swung his sword up and instead of a fire trail, a large wall of fire burst forth, clashing against the incoming lightning to defend him.

Clever, using one technique to distract me from the next one.

Tenma spun on his feet and changed his direction of travel, coming from Malak's right now as he leaped into the air and flipped forward while keeping his left leg extended. A trail of fire followed his leg, forming a wheel of fire around his body. The leg strike did not go for Malak though. Going for a kick while Malak skillfully held his blade would be idiocy. The kick slammed down on the ground and the flame wheel burst forward into a torrent of fire, ready to surround and engulf Malak.

Malak didn't have the time to dodge the fire, it was way to wide and way to fast. Instead he used another variant of his telekinesis, this time on himself, he created a cloud of chakra around himself and made a force forward and around him in order to divert the fire. Unfortunately the heat began to build up, forcing Malak to resort to his second plan. He used the telekinesis jutsu already around him to sling shot himself into the air and above the fire, as he hit the apex of his launch, at that brief moment where he was still in the air but not yet falling. Malak caught sight of a large rock, about knee height, he quickly gripped it with his chakra and flung it to the side, right at Tenma's position. As Malak was falling he then shot some chakra to his side making himself suddenly change direction while falling, he knew Tenma wouldn't pass up the opportunity to strike at him in the air. After that he tried to land as best he could, he created an attack and a dodging maneuver all in one go. Doing multiple things at once was Malak's speciality, and supposedly it was his father's as well. Orochimaru had told him several times that his ability to focus on multiple things at once quite possibly surpassed Kin's.

The katon jutsu assault was well defended by Malak's own form of defense, but it seemed the heat was building up too fast for him. Tenma watched as Malak flung himself into the air with his telekinesis. It was a flashy move and not an everyday thing you saw. Even Tenma was still impressed with Malak's ability. His fascination cost him as a decent-sized rock came hurtling after him with incredible speed.

Come on...

Tenma slipped into Iron Kick style as he slammed his left leg into the rock, shattering it. The shrapnel flew by too fast however, giving Tenma some decent cuts along his arms. His standard shinobi vest protected his body from getting cut up. He only felt the impact of the rock shards.

Nice one, already cutting me up and we barely started.

Tenma leaped into the air after the airborne Malak, but Malak's telekinesis shot him to the side and out of Tenma's physical reach. That was okay though; Tenma was ready for something of that skill level. From Hogetsu, a whip of fire shot out, raging after Malak to bind around the closest limb, whether it be his arm or leg. If he managed to catch him, he'd swing Hogetsu, which would cause the whip to tug on Malak and send him flying into the air and force Malak to crash into a large boulder.

Malak's dodge worked great, but he was unprepared for the follow up attack, which he sighed when he saw. He couldn't deny it, he should have seen it coming by now. The whipped grabbed a hold of his leg and swung him around, as he went flying toward the boulder, he used telekinesis once again to try and push against the rock and push him in the opposite direction, but he was unable to gain enough power output quick enough. But this move was not for nothing, he did manage to soften his impact notably, instead of slamming into full force. After he landed, he widely swung his blade, trying to cut the whip. As Tensa Zangetsu slashed through the fire whip it dissipated at the spot where it cut for a brief moment, but then immediately reformed itself, a blade with a little chakra in it was not powerful enough to severe the fire whip from Tenma.

".........problematic!"

Malak's skill was impeccable and his timing was not too far behind. All was to be expected too. He was Kin's son after all. But it would take a lot more than that to stop Tenma. He was Kin's student after all... then something Malak did caught him by surprise. It wasn't really surprising par se, but it was noteworthy.

Back when I fought Hidan of the Akatsuki, he used his scythe to cut down my fire whip without a problem... he did it twice in fact... this time, Malak's chakra-infused blade could not break him free... I never noticed that. It seems my flames really have gotten stronger.

"Damn right its a problem! You better have something up your sleeve or else it's gonna get real hot over here."

Chakra roared around Tenma's fist as it traveled over to his blade. The flames burst into a torrent and augmented in size, now threatening to burn his shin and ankle. Tenma yanked his sword back hard, trying to pull Malak forward and toward him.

As Malak was pulled his teeth grit, he knew he was in trouble this time. He surged as much chakra into Tensa Zangetsu as he could without letting it get unstable, and cut through the whip again. It made a notably bigger gap, then Malak used his telekinesis once again to push himself away. the combination of a bigger cut with his own force allowed him to escape, creating enough distance so that the whip couldn't reform. Malak stumbled to the ground, and scrambled to regain form. He slashed his blade at the air in front of him, making a curved arch of electricity and chakra fly forward toward Tenma.

"Thunder blade no jutsu!!"

Malak followed it up with three more slashes, sending a total of four blades toward Tenma, all at varying sizes and angles, to try and cover more area.
