Does the Walker choose the Path, or the Path the Walker?
|
Sameth sat in a completely uncomfortable chair, letting his head fall back to fall asleep. His eyes closed and his head started to drift off when a loud voice yelled in his ear, making him jump and accidentally push the alarm button. "DON'T FALL ASLEEP YOU BABY! AND TURN THAT STUPID ALARM OFF!" "Yes sir, uhh...no problem sir!" The alarm was cut and Sam went back to laying in the chair. Ever since the Revivalists had taken over the station, Sam had been getting the short end of the stick. He had been put on office duty and had to make sure no Reclaimers tried to reclaim their station. When the hell am I going to put on the front lines! I want to meet a trustworthy and helpful Reclaimer that I can talk to...but I'm not sure whether turning into my only enemies right now is the right thing. Sam looked at the radar and noticed nothing unusual and slipped into sleepy unconsciousness. |

Kritin walked along the edge of the high wall and turned up the volume in his radio/music. His suit was at full power because he just came out on guard duty. But every day he came out nothing happened so he just cranked the tunes and danced a bit. He grabbed one of his spare bolts and chucked it at the other side of the wall, making a basketball shot. Song: ~Red Energy~ Kritin was singing the tunes to himself, almost in a hushed tune. "Red energy.... red energy, pump up the power.... red energy..." Kritin poked at his blank sensor. He thought he saw something but he knew it must have been a glitch. He started singing again. "Red energy..." |

Gideon stared off at the base still far in the distance from his current location. His makeshift boat slowed toward them as he readied his weaponry. "I wonder how many of them I'll encounter, you have any..." Hasius broke into laughter as he peeted the leg of his plastic partner. He made one more quick examination of the doll to make sure it had all the correct features and dimensions. The plan was to ditch and destroy the boat and leave the "body" in there. "hmm..I wonder if I'll get any assistance during this mission..ah well." He turned back to the base as it grew larger with each passing second. once he was close enough he dropped the power so it did little more than drift toward them. He hid himself so only the lifeless doll was visible if anyone took the time to look at this small target. "ok buddy boy it's show time...don't gimme that look" |

This place...the people here need some work....the way that they are....I doubt they would be of great use.... Kamui was at the top of the base, on lookout duty. At the moment, he had half a mind to knock some sense into the guards of this base. One fool had just accidently let the alarm go off. After being surprised and getting ready for enemy attack, it turned out that there had not been any attack in the first place. Kamui looked in at the guard who had let the alarm go off. It seemed like he was sleeping. Kamui shook his head as he went back to his patrol duties. As he finished his patrol around the inside of the base, it was now time for him to go outside. Thankfully not everyone in the base was as lazy as the fool that let the alarm go off. They were well aware of the possibility of a attack on this station. After all, they did have hostages here. The chances that the Reclaimers would attack this base was quite high. There were other Revivalists that would be on patrol as well. Kamui dared the Reclaimers to come. He would slaughter them all. People around him could tell about his hatred for the other side. But he was quite calm at the moment. After quite some time on the roof of the base, Kamui decided to go out and patrol around the perimeter. He leapt down from the top of the roof and landed with no problems, even though it was quite an jump. "Hmm..." Kamui looked around, going around the base a couple of times before deciding on a path to scout out. It was to make sure that there were no enemies lying in wait for the perfect time to strike. Kamui eventually reached a river/waterway that streamed from quite some distance away. The enemy could always come by boat, so Kamui always patroled farthest into the area around the river. After some while, his eyes, modified by nano-technology, caught sight of a boat. And from the looks of it, there was not anything steering the boat. There did not even seem to be anyone in that boat. The first thing that came into Kamui's mind was an explosive. He quickly got into action, dashing. Using his specially equipped footwear, he was able to run on water. Once he got into range, a vacuum started to form around his leg. Then he stopped, leaped up into the air and sent a shockwave of air/wind down the river. As the front of the makeshift boat was blasted apart, Kamui could see something that resembled a human figure fly out. This made Kamui even more suspicious as he suddenly blasted a red flare into the air. Those on patrol would know what they meant. Something was up and Kamui was not the type of person to take chances. There must have been someone who sent that boat. Kamui got off the river and looked for the one who did it. Who did that.......and for what purpose? |

Sam opened his eyes and noticed a bright red light flash in the air. Remembering his training, Sam knew that meant bad news. He jumped out of his seat and ran down the spiraled stairs. He slipped once on someone's mistakingly accidental pour of water. He ran past other Revivalists and ran outside. He could tell by where the flare was in the sky that it had come from near the river. "Hey! What has happened here?!" Sam looked the man he was talking to up and down. He looked to be a Revivalist. OOC: Sorry for short, I'm kind of sick. |

Kritin tripped backwards while doing a 360 turn to his song, and a flair went off behind him. "What the crap? Oh Sweet! Time to fight!" Kritin turned up his music and pushed a button on his lower left wrist tightening all the loose ends on his suit then pulling all the plates of armor close onto his undersuit. He jumped up onto the outer wall and looked out into the darkness. "Comon, time to get it on!" red energy... |

Gideon hit the button as the shot cam down and the boat was torn apat as he fell straight into the water and his dummy flew into the air. He swam down deep relying more on his metalic lungs to give him air. once he was down deep enough to be hidden in the darkness of the ocean he activated his lifts to move swiftly toward the station. Ok no time for screw ups I have to hit them hard and fast, save all I can and kill any who get in my way He was under a ladder but he knew they would be on edge for a while,Gideon thought it better to let the dummy be found and sneak in when they were less on edge. A small amount of time passed as he waited under the water.I wonder how long I can hold my breath for... |

Good, the patrol is out...eh? Kamui did not believe his orders, but it seemed that he had no choice but to obey. The base had sent most of its patrol out, so they needed some more guards at the base. He shook his head. It was to be expected. A pair of Revivalists appeared near Kamui and nodded to him, assuring that they would be able to search the place carefully and thoroughly. Kamui also trusted the combat ability of these two. It would not be an easy fight if the enemy decided to come. So he went off, back to the base, running as fast as he could, nanomachines pumping through his body as his image blurred through the field. The motors on his customized skates helped a great deal in getting him back very quickly. Kamui then put his hand in front of the security machine and the light turned green. All the entrances of the base were like this. And there were cameras everywhere. Not to mention alarms if someone managed to break in. Kamui did not see the need to come back, but that was what he did. He thought about where the Reclaimers would aim for. After the door closed behind him, he started aimlessly walking around when the idea hit him. He immediately started for the part of the base where the hostages were being held. He smiled as he approached the door to that part of the base. He wondered if that was the true purpose of the Reclaimers. After all, it did seem fairly obvious. This base had nothing else besides some supplies. Kamui leaned against the door. Well, whatever comes, I will deal with it. Now, I wait. |
