I'm PC, and I'm a mac, AND I AM BEOWULF Posts: 199 Group: Administrator Member #3 Joined: November 2, 2007	okay i think it's no secret that the WON story has become rather played out by now, it's just an endless entanglement of making up things as we go. plus, i can't speak for everyone, but I know some of us are getting tired of being chained to naruto. i am basically suggesting we dump the entire naruto theme, push it inmto the "other rpg" section, and make WON take place in our own world, where it can fit a bit easier, and basically start over fresh. been tossing the idea with a few other people and we generally seem to like it, the most common idea being a sort of fantasy world with magic and such. plus with this we want it implement a stat system (which aims to be solid, and yet not extremely restrictive), along with a leveling system, which will allow for real progress aside from relying on annoying exams that suddenly sky rocket our power for no reason. obviously the idea is rough, but i think it might be just what we need, like i said before, I can't be the voice of 30 different people, but a lot of us are getting tired of the naruto.

And yeah, the leveling up system would be good as well, since some incentives would be like getting pwnage abilities (the equivalent of a Chidori, I guess) and that would make the site more active. And as long as the stat system isn't restrictive, then I'm fine with it. But I am curious to know exactly what kind of rp it'll be, since fantasy with magic does not tell a lot, lol. Posts: 8,388,607 Group: Members Member #12 Joined: November 7, 2007	I agree, now i used to really be annoyed with people trying to change things because seisho was a great character but i think WON needs a change, we've spoken about so much but i've been bouncing ideas with raive and hearing his and i think it'll be great to change things up here, a new RP, let everyone start over, let them be something new and creative. i say lets get this train a rollin

Most of our members are here for the love Naruto-based RP'ing. Taking away that availability of their wishes to rp, will decrease their activity along with enjoyment. As I said, great idea, but we will lose more than we will gain. In my opinion.

I do agree with Hero a bit, but I think if other people find out its not just a Naruto-based RP, we could have lotsa new members as well. I also like how the new RP could take place in our world, I think that would be awesome, mainly because this is our world and also because then the mods and admins or the other members don't have to come up with this entirely new world.

I'm PC, and I'm a mac, AND I AM BEOWULF Posts: 199 Group: Administrator Member #3 Joined: November 2, 2007	well im glad to see everyone is at least giving it some positive consideration, although just to clear up a point (a few people misunderstood this when they spoke to me over AIM/MSN). by "our world" i meant our own created world, not like it'd be taking place in our own real life world, it'd be a fantasy world. to get a rough idea, it'd be old, but not exactly middle ages, sorta like d&d, fable, the older final fantasies or maybe oblivion (not to sure about that last one, never played it). just a few things that would be hoped to be included in this: -an actual death system (don't worry theres foundation in this, and a sort of revival system, albeit it's kinda rough right now) -stat system -more levels, so it's not just the main 3 ranks, theres room for middle ground and more progress as opposed to only progressing in power every 6 months

Naruto has been getting kinda old i must say, and the new change will help to bring new people in. Are there still going to be something like villages? everyone cant be in the same city/village. That also brings we to another point- what is the time setting? is this going to be like in the future/past/present or something total different? I'm not trying to interrogate you guys, just trying to help with ideas. But other than that i LOVE the idea...

I'm PC, and I'm a mac, AND I AM BEOWULF Posts: 199 Group: Administrator Member #3 Joined: November 2, 2007	like i said before it'd be the past and be set in a sort of typical fantasy world with magic and such (and of course a touch of our own originality). i don't think it'd be really hardcore medieval, more like fable or d&d, which i guess is more colonial, or that sort of transition from medieval to colonial. perhaps leaning closer to medieval im also heavily considering a class system, such as mage, fighter, rogue, healer etc. general classes that don't restrict you, so much as they just clearly define what kind of character you are. similar to the alignment system.
