I LOVE TO SUCK THOSE TINY ICICLES!
|
Takai sat with the blade in his hands and continued stoking the roaring flames in front of him. It was the only source of warmth for those around him as most of the wood they had brought had been lost or drenched by the icy water. The crackling of the fire accompanied his thoughts and as the blade in his hand began to grow hotter and hotter, Takai didn't see his hand becoming burnt. The dancing flames his inspiration as he came to his decision of who he was going to send out in the night. The sun was sinking closer and closer under the horizon and the beautiful colours it splayed out was magnificent. However, because this area was so far north, it meant that this would likely be the last sunlight they see. They were lucky enough to travel here and see the last sun set for months, but it meant the next attacks would be bathed in darkness. Takai's hood had dropped from his head and his wild orange hair was gathering attention and he could see the floods of shinobi coming towards him. He didn't need their queries and quandaries, he needed his own time to think over his next course of action. Ducking behind a shelter he laid himself down in the snow and using his Kekkai Genkai to his advantage, he became one with the snow. His body was covered by the snow and now he was alone to think. A couple of hours passed since that time, but as Takai rose up from his temporary sanctuary he had made his decision. He was still waiting for the roll call, to see if all those he had anticipated to act were still in fact living. Propping his hood up and covering his face over with a scarf that he found, he saw the list posted up on a shelter that recorded the dead shinobi. There was a high casualty count, for both villages, Suna and Oto had sustained some heavy losses. Their forces were now under one hundred as they saw themselves lose half their fighting force in one battle. He padded the snow off his body and slid into another relaxed position and he welcomed the questions he was receiving now. He answered those he could and to those he couldn't, he gave them the best answer he could. If it meant dashing hopes, then that was what he would do. As Takai was doing this he grabbed a small shinobi by the arm and pulled him towards him. He whispered the words "Ki" to the shinobi and then allowed him to leave. Takai had asked him to bring Ki towards him, Takai had something he needed to speak to the Oto shinobi about. "Yakedo Hayashi will be able to deal with the problems faced by Oto shinobi, he is your commanding officer...I will be able to help, but I do not know which such arrangements for the dead will need to be completed..." ...Ki...Hayashi...One more... -------------------------------------- OOC: All forces will post in here, but do not do something stupid like fighting. This thread is for our characters to receive healing, take some rest etc. |

OOC: Back in Phase 2 IC: As Axel had finished off the final clone by stabbing him to the head after trapping him with sticky ink. His headset rang as he looked at Takai who managed to fall back away fron Axel and his comrades. Takai was powerful and Axel made sure that he would never forget that name... "Takai..." He made sure to not forget that name, they would have to meet again some time. Axel smiled as the clone puffed nto smoke. OOC: Now in Phase 3 IC: Axel stood in the cold. Wind whipped at his skin. His goggles were up on his head as his hood was down. His skin was red and stung as the wind continued to strike him... "Takai..." He whispered looking into the water. first the waves movd roughly along with a heavy winds and and snow...but a small area of it didn't move at all...the area Axel concentrated on as the water stayed calm in his gaze until it wwas broken and he was forced to turn and join the healers and the healed by the fire. =============(Bakuto)============= OOC: Back in Phase 2 IC: Bakuto looked in the spot where Takeshi had been. Both had been called back by their respective leaders of their groups. He sighed, not getting the chance to defeat his smart and powerful foe was a loss. Bakuto hoped they would meet again. Gathering up the cards that weren't completely ruined by the weather. Bakuto turned seeing a dead body laying in the snow...well...it seemed dead. After pocketing the last of his cards Bakuto headed towards the lifeless body. Examining it closely, what bakuto thought was a dead body lunged up and attacked the man. OOC: Now in Phase 3 IC: Bakuto looked into the warm fire. His body was no longer cold by weather, his insides were cold...despite the fire before him and the kinetic forces in his body that kept his body from freezing up, he was cold inside...and lifeless. Under the large black goggles that ungulfed half his face were blood red eyes. Depite the dark skies and even in the sun, his skin was paper white. "...Banpaia..." Bakuto muttered. That's what he was attacked by. Bakuto was attacked by a Banpaia who bit him and exchanged blood with Bakuto. Bakuto was one of them. Now he was more powerful than before. Bakuto kept his eyes on the fire and grinned, his pearl white fangs shone the orange light of the flame off of them. |

Hakumei lay near the fire in the Konoha and Kumo camp. Most of the Kumo forces weren't mingling with thise from Konoha, tensions were high as the injured and close to death hacked and coughed slowly towards the light. Hakumei looked to the light, it was dying the snow made it seem like it was on the other side of a cloth and eventually the shinobi would be wrapped in a darkness unmatched as it dropped below the horizon. Hakumei shivered slightly and rolled over to be closer to the warm fire. The flames licked at the snow pointlessly and offered little warmth over than the warmth of hope. I fought Takai and I lived...I know you allowed me to live along with Axel and Saiyuki...but why? Hakumei replayed the last few moment of the battle in his head. He was flung into Saiyuki and then he had lost concious as ice crashed around him. The next thing he knew he was being carried away by a Konoha medi-nin who was fleeing the explosions. Then he was by a fire resting up for something...but he didn't know what. Hakumei sighed and got to his feet, he winced at pains in his side and then managed to make a few steps out of the firelight towardshis chains. He had had them removed since they were froozen so impaired his ability to be moved. However since that point they had been thawed out as Hakumei ordered. He approached two figures who he hoped wouldn't mind talking to him. They were the two he had fought with earlier. "Saiyuki, Axel...How are you healing up?" ____________________________________________ Sakyuu watched Takai by the fire in the Suna camp and decided to approach him, carefully. He sat down opposite him so that his head was lit up by the light from the searching flames. He took a look at the deepening, darkening sky and shuddered. It would be getting even colder soon, infact Winter was now begginging and the small fires they had made wouldn't last most of the night. Sakyuu turned to Takai and took a shallow breath. Takai was slowly caressing his sword. "Takai-sama. Before we were ordered to manuevre out of the valley you said you required some people for scouting. Allow me to take part in this task...Those I fought on the battle were young and unable to fight well. Therfore I am uninjured and not fatigued in any way." Sakyuu waited for an answer and as he waited he watched the flames dance and create a dark pattern of shadows on Takai's face. With the cold desolate background Sakyuu finally understood what Takai was really capable of. He waited with the wind slowly chilling his back. |

OOC: From Phase Two IC: Takeshi received word from his higher ups to pull back to regroup and recover. He did not get a chance to finish his fight with Bakuto due to the order he was given. He now had to return to base camp which would give him a chance to recover and resupply his tools. Maybe I'll get a chance to fight with him some other time..... OOC: Now Phase 3 IC: Takeshi sat close to a fire waiting for a medical ninja to come do a check-up on him. He had already had a chance to acquire new tools from a few ninja that were helping to resupply the forces. The med-ninja now approached him and bandaged him where he had been cut by various things. He repaired a rip in his special trenchcoat with a bit of wire keeping it's effectiveness at it's best. At this time he realized he still had his earpiece in his ear and tried contacting his two teammates. "Rikatu, Garnet, can you hear me ? If you made it back to base camp radio me of your condition and location so I can meet back up with you." He ended open radio communication to preserve the battery of his transmitter, if they were outside the camp still it would not reach them, the winds and snow blew too fiercely. He sat up inside of the tent in which he had been taken care of and did the same thing he did last time he was presented with this opportunity: he took the remaining medical supplies in the first-aid kit and stashed them for later use. At least I was able to survive fighting two enemy shinobi, and my chakra is almost completely restored, I wonder what they will have us do next.... |

Umbrella User of The Mist

Akio and Kintaro finally arrived at the camp. Akio was suffering no physical injuries only the silence of boredom. Akio saw the fire and didn't even bother sitting near the fire. Kintaro had left Akio to sit near the fire but, Akio felt as though he didn't deserve to sit near the fire. I am not injured, sick or tired there is no need for me to sit near the fire. Akio had found a tree and took his umbrella off his back. He had opened his umbrella and stabbed it into the blanket of soft snow. Akio planted the umbrella deep in the ground and put it on an angle where the snow and wind would be halted. He layed underneath the umbrella and the tree, though it was no luxury bed sleeping was not a difficult task for Akio. A medican ninja had approached Akio, Akio was laying on his back and flicked his left wrist as to say he did not need assistance. Akio talked briefly in the headset. "Wake me if anything happens Kin." Akio began to rest in order to be prepared. Akio knew if he had a chance to sleep he had to take it. |

................Hmmm. Saiyuki was sitting down near a warm fire and was leaning on a sturdy nearby tent. He had a small amount of bandages on his body from his battle with Takai. He sighed as he looked up into the sky. One look at his facial expression and one could tell he was deep in thought. His side hadn't done so well this time around. He was also disappointed in himself for his lack of power. He slowly replayed the battle that had unfolded between the 4 of them. Saiyuki had tried several strategies, but all to no avail. He shook his head. He knew he shouldn't be so disappointed. It would have been a heaven sent miracle had they been able to stop Takai. He was a jounin, far above their rank of genin and in this environment, Saiyuki knew that he was virtually undefeatable. Saiyuki took a deep breath as he poked around at the fire to make it a little bigger. ...........It was close. Saiyuki played back the recent events. He had been amazed that Takai managed to avoid every single one of their attacks. He opened a bottle of recently melted water as he recalled what happened next. Time seemed to slow down as Takai ended the battle. However, when the boulders of ice began to fall, Saiyuki's quick reflexes went into play. He quickly located his teammates and began focusing his chakra. What he was doing was simple in concept, but quite hard in execution. He formed 3 barriers, each around of the 3 genin of the team. The particles were reinforced and Saiyuki could only hope they would be enough to hope protect his teammates as a barrage of large ice blocks assaulted them. Saiyuki had been knocked out by crashing around within his barrier as the mulitude of ice blocks flung them as though they were nothing. The amount of chakra Saiyuki had put into his barriers managed to last until the medic nins brought them back, or so he was told. Hmm.....someone told me they were all right. So no problems there....And I've recovered most of my strength. Saiyuki glanced up when he saw Hakumei walking around. Since he seemed alright for the most part, Saiyuki assumed Axel would be the same, though he did not know where he was at the moment. The whole of their forces were in the midst of recovering currently. Oto and Suna's gain wasn't without a great deal of loss, so that made Saiyuki feel a little better. He smiled as he started to see Hakumei come over. Since there were many fires, the whole camp was quite warm. Saiyuki stretched out his limbs as he met Hakumei. He had been just sitting and lying down for the past few hours. "I'm fine. Glad to see that you are too. Any info on what's gonna happen next?" --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (will post tomorrow when i have the time) |

Konoha's Wave
|
Ki breathed steadily as he walked over from his current position from a small fire, which was one of many, and he sighed. The fight he currently was pulled out of, was a grueling one at that. His rematch with Taiteki was neither a failure nor win, it seemed to be a draw, and lucky at that. Taiteki's combinations with his partner were deadly to get into. Ki stood in his position and looked up into the air above him and took a deep breath as his ribs and abdomen hurt slightly. Suddenly a ninja ran over to him from another area which fires were present in. The fire popped as the air in the wood they were given had gave way, and the ninja slid to a stop. "What is it?" Ninja: "Takai-san needs you for a moment Ki." "What for?" Ninja: "I do not know, he just asked for you." Ki nodded and looked past him into the distance as a slight image of a fire was shown to him from this distance. Ki then walked past the ninja and patted his shoulder and walked along slowly, since his burns were still hurting, but manageable. Ki was not accompanied by the light anymore until he would draw in closer to Takai's position. But what did want? Was it to harp on him in harsh manners or to just plainly talk? Ki did not know, but he will soon find out. The crackling of the fire from Takai's placement was heard easily from Ki's closing positions. Ki suddenly stopped as he noticed Takai's blade sharpened and he was all at ease. Ki bowed and looked at Takai clearly and emotionless. "Yakedo Hayashi will be able to deal with the problems faced by Oto shinobi, he is your commanding officer...I will be able to help, but I do not know which such arrangements for the dead will need to be completed..." "Sir, I understand, when will you like us to set off?" Ki asked plain and simple, he did not want any 'BS' about hope, and pride. He wanted hard facts, that will get them through. These facts may not be good news exactly, but those bad news, it makes them fight two times harder, to make that news not come true. Yet, this brings in the pride and hopes, to make those changes which is a never ending cycle of emotions, and should be kept to a concealed amount. Ki awaited the answer of Takai and could feel the warmth of the fire, since the normal air temperature was way below that of the fire, and with his wounds currently on his legs the cold would surely help them as much as the heat, but he would most likely bandage them up before heading out. "When...is my soul concern." |

Oh, you saucy temptress...
|
OOC: Nevets, where did this vampire come from in the middle of a blizzard during a shinobi clash? I really hope you're not gonna use this "becoming a vampire" thing to make an excuse that you're stronger than other genin. IC: With a fully bandaged right arm from the tips of his fingers up to his shoulder, Taiteki had a slight grin on his face. However, as the sun was beginning to set in the horizon, the glare of light on his face mixed with his already melancholy countenance, giving him a very eerie disposition. He looked almost supernatural. Taiteki was merely in a daze at the moment though, that stupid little grin on his face refusing to disappear. It had been a hell of a day for him and the last moments of the battle was something he'd never forget. He wasn't happy about the explosion that killed the scores of shinobi. No, he was definitely full of sorrow for all those innocent lives. He wasn't grinning about the fact that he fought alongside Kei after such a long time. He was grinning because Ki survived. You just seem to elude death every time. I was too soft-hearted up in that mountain. Shinobi are trained to abandon emotion so that they can carry out tasks without struggle. I failed to abandon emotion and as a consequence, I let you live... that was my mistake. I should have finished it there. I had my chance here as well... and I had the full intent of ending your life once and for all; to eliminate all potential future threats of Kumogakure from existence. Here I could not do that either. No matter how many times I blinded you, no matter how many Cero's that came for you, and no matter how long you were in that genjutsu, you still surivived! ... and for some strange reason... I'm glad you did... The sound of footsteps from behind caught his attention as he snapped out of his trance. It was a medic ninja from Kumogakure. The medic ninja bent down and took a hold of Taiteki's bandaged right arm. He looked carefully and then nodded. M:"You can remove those medical wraps now. Your arm should be fine by now. Don't sit there zoning out for too long. You might catch a cold. Get near a fire and move about over there." "Alright... thank you sir." Taiteki removed the wraps as his arm was already almost completely fixed up. It just needed some air and it would be back at one hundred percent. Taiteki moved toward one of the many fires that had been conjured and began pacing about there, deep in thought about the events that occurred not too long ago. |

God of Wind
|
Kintaro sat down close to where Akio was lying. He looked as he planted his umbrella at such an angle that the wind would not hit his face. He thought of something himself. Kintaro stabbed his sword into the ground, with the red sphere still in it. Kintaro sat down as the wind and snow was blocked by the sword. The sword heated him up as well. Kintaro looked as Akio called off the medical ninja. Kintaro hasn't been in any battles and neither has Akio. "Hmm... How much resting time do you think we will have?" Kintaro said to Akio Kintaro looked around at his village members as well as some leaf members. He saw many ninja that looked like they just went through a war and some that look juts like Kintaro was, untouched. |

Hayashi sat down and watched as all the shinobi from all villages approached Takai to seek for answers to their questions. The only people who really approached Hayashi were those from Oto who didn't want to have to rely on someone from another village. He sat patiently and answered all questions and received all praise with respect and sincerity. The flames did very little to keep him warm from this temperature, however his abilities were doing worlds to help him in that regard. Unfortunately, the use of his abilities to keep him warm would also cause a constant drain of his chakra which would eventually lead to a time when he would be cold once more. Preparing for the worst, he but the same head gear as the rest of those around him in order to shield himself from the fierce winds when his chakra allotted to heat would be depleted. He saw Takai speak to Ki and knew that it must have something to do with either the past or the present, however no matter what it had to do with this place. This God-forsaken frozen wasteland. Whether it was planning the next assault or ensuring the injured were taken care of, he knew that that must've been the subject of their conversation at the present time. Why Takai didn't approach him directly, he didn't know. But he didn't really care to think about it too much, nor inquire until Ki spoke to him directly. The fire was beautiful, however no amount of beauty could save Hayashi's mind from the thoughts of sadness and ugliness that riddled this place. This place... has no music to it... |
