Oh, you saucy temptress...

OOC: Might as well post. Everyone should probably read Sachmo's post. IC: Taiteki began to advance forward now. Neither Taeko, nor Ki had made a move since the genjutsu-Cero combo attack on Ki, then followed by that last massive Cero that Kei used. Either they retreated, were dead, or were plotting at the moment. Taiteki figured it was the first option as suddenly, a wave of Suna and Oto forces began to pull back on large scale (OOC: Sachmo's post). Taiteki called out for Kei now who was only a few meters ahead of him. "Kei!! The Suna and Oto forces seem to be falling back!! I'm going to fall back and see if a medic can help my arm a bit. Do you want to do the same or will you pursue the retreating f-" Taiteki's sentence never finished. A massive blast of exploding tags and mines burst into life many meters ahead as the wave of heat could be felt from even where Taiteki stood. Taiteki's eyes widened in shock. In just one brief second, a huge section of an invading force was wiped out by a blast. The Kumo-Konoha forces were playing right into Hayashi's hands the entire time. "No..." |

Taeko closed her eyes as Taiteki sunk deeper into her genjutsu. She wanted this to work and for that to happen she needed to focus. She didn't notice the light bomb go off due to the fact that she had her eyes closed. She needed to concentrate. Taeko felt the ground shake underneath her. What the hell was going on? Was Ki okay? She tried to focus harder but there was another explosion in the back ground. She opened on eye. Her concentration slipping slightly as she did so. It was then that she felt a surge in chakra coming from Kei's direction. She couldn't help but look as he had a hand pointed towards her. Shit...Taeko thought. She quickly released her jutsu on Taiteki and jumoed out of the way. The heat, force and power from the Cero slashed at her back as she moved behind Taiteki. She flew fast and landed hard into the freezing snow, slightly behind him. Taeko used her earth covered arm to protect her face from the snow and ice. Damn it...i should have known he would come after me...but to have nearly hit his partner who was under a genjutsu in the process. He's nuts! What kind of pyscho does that just to get a hit in on someone. I just hope Ki is okay. Uggh what is this? Taeko lifted her face and there was more blood covering the skin. It ran from her hairline, down across her eyebrows, her nose and cheeks. Stupid fucker...he could have killed me. She slowly pushed her self up off the ground. Everything was blurry to her and she felt like her body weighed a ton of bricks. There was a small clicking sound when suddenly one of her wrist blades revealed itself out of her sleeve. This isn't over yet Spiky she thought as she reached down for a tag. Slowly she stood up. She wobbled as she tired to regain her balance. Bastard...With a flick of her wrist she tossed the tag between Kei and Taiteki. |

It's called Ice For Life baby!

Rikatu woke up from his nap in the snow to find himself in a cave. He looked around and nobody was there, He stood up and looked outside. There were blood stains in the snow everywhere, but there were hardly any ninja around, most were enemy ninja, but they couldn't see him because of his coat and the snow still blowing. Rikatu stepped back and almost steeped on his headset. He picked it up and put it on. There were a few people talking bought falling back due to loss of numbers, but Rikatu decided to find out for himself. He went outside and climbed the tallest hill around and looked out at the surrounding landscape. There was nothing but red everywhere for miles, blood dose not go good with the surrounding landscape that had been a few moments ago... "What has happened... killing and nothing but. Next time, so much leaf blood will not be spilt, even mine is down there somewhere, the air is heavy with it, there's nothing i can do now in this condition, but there's always next time... I will be back." Rikatu went down the mountain and back into the cave to retrieve his things, then came out again heading for the last whereabouts of his team. Rikatu watched as blood trickled from dead ninjas bodies, weapons everywhere, the only thing he couldn't see was any survivors. Rikatu kept his pace walking toward the only thing moving. He looked behind him and there was something there too, both things coming toward him now, Rikatu grabbed his sword and stood ready, but then they both vanished into the wind. "Hm.. weird." Rikatu walked a little farther and peeked over a hill to find his village's groups starting to gather. He walked forward and walked more until he was close to the edge of the ocean, then sat down and waited for his friends to find him. |

I LOVE TO SUCK THOSE TINY ICICLES!

Kei smiled as he saw Taeko get up groggily, the shook of what had just happened had allowed Kei to neglect his own injuries. Blood streamed down from his head and his perennially broken wrist was causing him trouble again. Kei felt the ground beneath him lurch and then looked over to the other groups fighting. Explosions were occurring at every step and shinobi were being thrown into the air. Taiteki's assumptions had been complete and those fighting that had been drawn to finish the kill had been obliterated. Kei's eyes fell on Ki and Taeko, they had been beaten quite badly as well, but it seemed as if the battle had swung their way completely. Kei saw Taeko throw a tag between them, but before it landed he melted the ice around its final position. The tag was now rendered useless, he smiled towards her sarcastically. He lifted his good arm up and waved towards her, his smile easily able to enrage even a nun. "We'll have to finish this later Red-Head...Perhaps you would be so foolish to step up into the Chuunin Exams...Then I could walk away the victor as I should be..." Kei bowed and laughed as he could see her becoming angry. He felt a tug on his clothes and saw Taiteki running and pulling him along. Whatever was happening, Kei couldn't properly judge it at the moment and it was out of the realms of his current comprehension. Spitting blood out of his mouth, the irony taste was not nice. The blood poured down his face as he began to feel dizzy and faint. He needed to see a medical shinobi and he spared a thought for Namine. He didn't know why she was not here, but he could have used her aid at this time. It was fun fighting alongside Taiteki again as it had been such a long time, but as much as Kei disliked it. Without her, the group did not feel the same. Stumbling as he ran, he gazed at the desolation momentarily and then with Taiteki ran back to the Kumo-Konoha camp. --------------------------------------------------------- Takai felt the chain become fully encased in ice and as he looked at those around him, he was most surprise to see Saiyuki dodge every single shard of ice. The thousands of shards of ice that exploded in every direction from where the ice landed, and he managed to dodge them. Takai could feel the resistance being shown by Hakumei increase as he stuck himself to the cliff face. Takai smiled slightly, he could hear Saiyuki's movement and then the lack of movement. However he could not hide himself from one of Takai's waves, pin pointing the Genin's position, the Jounin, Takai knew what he would do next. Takai kicked the cliff face and split the ice upwards, it split where Hakumei was lying on the cliff. It spread the area of his chakra touching the cliff and this weakened his grip on the cliff. It was what would be expected to happen, as the cliff face cracked and moved apart his chakra would become more spread out and he may be forcing chakra onto open space as ice would have been there. He tugged the chain down and as he felt it slide down, he twisted his body and flattened the chain out. It swung round and as Hakumei's position was changed, the needles which he had dropped, missed Takai by a hair's breadth. Swinging the chain with its frozen links meaning it did not bend or break, the chain and Hakumei spun round and if Saiyuki was to not move he would feel it smash into his body. Takai could see Saiyuki's attack coming towards him and smiled. It was admirable for a Genin to try and attack a Jounin like this, but the difference in strength was far too great for even Saiyuki to try and bridge. Takai felt the Kage Bunshin be destroyed and he gained all that the Bunshin had seen. Axel wasn't doing anything that could even pose any sort of problem. He watched the spheres of this very strange gravity fly towards Takai and he didn't even waste his time on producing chakra to stop them. Now he didn't need to, he chuckled to himself, speed was his forte as a Genin and had carried through as he increased in rank. Now at Jounin, without using his Kekkai Genkai, he was still an incredible quick and agile shinobi. With his open hand he flexed his fingers and revelled in the amount of chakra he had, he hadn't used any jutsus, but even if he had he knew his chakra levels would easily surpass those here. Even if they were to accumulate their chakra, it still wouldn't compare. They were only Genin and were simply insignificant specks in the way now. Takai simply moved away from the spheres of gravity and dodged those that were coming at an angle. He looked down to the chains and he realised that he wouldn't be able simply cut through these things. He looked at his arm and saw how the chain had been ravelled against his skin. He removed four kunai and in little time, he had attached four tags to the kunai and he launched two on either side of the cliff. Takai pulled back slightly on the chains with his free hand and with some pain he brought his hand out of the constraints of the chain. He felt a finger or two break, but then he saw Hakumei career into Saiyuki and smiled slightly. Reinforcing his broken fingers with ice, he created a temporary solution. Performing ten hand seals in seconds he gathered chakra in his body and then around him these bird like creations began to form. It was a flock of birds made of ice, looking at their bodies you could see the wind chakra licking the edges of the birds. They descended around Takai moving at speeds which saw the birds just blur into nothingness. There was no chance that the Genin would be able to dodge these, but these would be the least of they worries. They would be torn to shreds if Takai were to send the entire flock of birds towards them. The power of the jutsu was far too strong for any Genin to block. He shot three towards them and as they grew closer to the Genin they veered off close. Takai turned around and as the birds flew to the cliff face, Takai released his seal and muttered "Kai". The exploding tags on the cliff face exploded sending multitudes of boulders and blocks of ice crashing downwards and blocking off his path. The three birds slammed into the icy cliff face as well and Takai did his bit in diminishing the numbers of the Kumo-Konoha forces. Takai walked forwards and pulled Zangetsu up out of the ice and looked back towards the Genin. There was one in the group of the Genin that was one for the future. He smiled and laughed to himself as he thought of the attacks he had tried and the actions he had taken. The area shook violently as the traps set by Hayashi went off and the exploding tags on the cliff erupted causing chaos. The forces of Kumo-Konoha were injured greatly and Takai would catch a few wayward shinobi that were retreating back. They were not trying to defend themselves, they were trying their hardest to get back to safety, they were terrified of what was going on. The ground they were standing on was shaking and their kinsmen were dying all around them. Takai stepped over the fallen shinobi and watched as those that could fled back to their relative safety. Looking over to the horizon, Takai could see the sun slipping into the horizon once again and the day of fighting was over. They would rest up and then begin the next skirmish against the forces. They had the goal which needed to be achieved, but until no force remained in front of him, Takai could not happily send his forces to their goal. He tapped his radio and spoke to those that still remembered to wear the headsets. "...To those of you that can still hear me, well done, the Kumo and Konoha forces have been lessened greatly and they are weary...We have not come out unscathed and even though they hold the numerical advantage for now...Our shinobi, our strength as an army rings true...To have cut down so many of theirs when they had the higher land is truly admirable...For Hayashi's traps that devastated their forces most of all, he deserves congratulations for his effort...Now we shall rest up and prepare for the next day, but before we wake, a scouting party will be arranged...We need every advantage we can get against those fools..." Takai clicked off the radio and propped the hood of his cloak up and pulled it tightly around his body. He could do without the exposure to the shinobi around him, there would be many demanding things and such. He would tell the medical shinobi to care for as many of those they could and to give priority to those in the worst conditions. They were in a situation where those who were on the brink of death were possible to be brought back. However that would not last too much longer. Takai sat down against an erected shelter and sat in front of a fire that was in the centre of a circle of these shelters. He picked up a sword and stoked the fire with the metal and stared into the embers. ...Who can I trust to not fail us... --------------------------------------------------------- Phase Complete |
