Akio had been lost but, didn't really care. The snow was rare to Akio and the Hoshima Clan. Akio was sitting on deadwood with his umbrella protecting his glasses from the snow and winds. The wind was whistling off Akio's Umbrella which, had a melodious toon. Akio began to hum a random toon and enjoy himself. Akio had been lost ever since, the crash landing of the ship.

"Hm, I should try to find a companion hehe."

Akio didn't want to fight enemies on his own. He had been watching the jutsus flying around. The chill went down Akio's spine as he heckled at the wind. Akio had than heard footsteps. Akio than chucked his umbrella upwards and shot needles from his umbrella.

Jouro Senban

"If you don't reveal yourself I will turn you into swiss cheese."

Akio sat there and didn't turn around from his deadwood seat. He just waited for the person to make their move. The umbrella levitated in the air and Akio's chakra was seen surging through his body.

Bakuto's staff flew high in the air. The kunai in bakuto's hands though kept him safe from the two projectiles coming at him. He managed to swipe the two kunai away from his face and they landed in the snow not to far because the wind resistance held them from flying. Looking at Takeshi Bakuto had a plan.

"What do you expect monsieur? I'm french..."

Bakuto stated in responce to his earlier comment about Bakuto flattering Takeshi.

"At least you're smarter than Rikatu..."

Bakuto than looked up as he was about to clash with Takeshi but was caught off guard by the kunai falling from the sky. The kunai that Takeshi threw in order to knock the staff away. Attempting to pivot in mid-air the Kunai slashed Bakuto in the right arm near the stab from Rikatu but not as deep since it was only a slash.

"Shit..."

Bakuto landed but shot up quickly and turned around making that kunai explode just before hitting the snow. He needed a long enough distraction. Quickly running towards his staff by using a roll to grab it the man stayed on one knee and his other leg perched (OOC: like a foot ball player when they take a knee). He held the staff to his side with his left arm crossed over holding the middle of the staff and his right and held the middle of the final bar at the end of the metal staff. It was still tangeble and fully working because the way it was designed prevented it from being destroyed by the explosions.

"I knew this would be fun..."

Bakuto said as he glanced at the other two kunai that were knocked over from earlier and grinned at his idea. Shoving a kunai in the ground; as the smoke from his explosion from before cleared, he stood grasping his staff once more and waiting as the wind seemed to blow to the right now as his coat flaps whipped from the wind.

Takeshi laughed to himself as he ran toward Bakuto.

"I was hoping that you would be more of a challenge than Kintaro, looks like I got my wish...."

Takeshi's kuni that he had thrown to hit the staff knocked it away and fell towards Bakuto cutting him in his arm. As Takeshi was about to reach Bakuto, Bakuto rushed past him and rolled to get his staff. The kunai which had hit Bakuto exploded causing a bit of snow to spray into the air.

He managed to get his staff again....Tsk....

Takeshi turned in mid run and changed to run towards Bakuto. There were blood droplets in the snow from the cut Bakuto had received, the wind kicked up causing visibility to decrease significantly. Takeshi ran straight toward Bakuto by following the blood trail. He then spun a few more kunais with wires attached in his hands and threw them along the trail.

"Here's to hoping that they hit...."

Kintaro looked behind him as their was an enemy or possibly a friend. He heard the needles release from the enemies weapon and he reacted quickly. Kintaro swung his Soshiken around over his head and rested it on his back. It was so powered with fire chakra so it was stronger then before. The needles hit the sword and melted and became scrap metal. He turned around to find a person holding an umbrella out to him. Hmm... the needles must of shot out of the umbrella itself. this guy wields a unique weapon i see,... unfortunately nothing compared to mine Kintaro after the needles fell the the floor, pulled his Soshiken out again and stood in an offensive position. The snow was blowing past him, luckily not in his face. He searched for anything to see if he was part of the sound or sand village. He didn't want to fight a friend. He looked for the obvious headband, to see the symbol. He scanned his body up and down and saw the headband. the headband had the cloud sign on it and it was located on his neck.

"Hmm... Cloud i see, I've never seen you in the village before" Kintaro said taking his headband off to show the enemy. "And you thought I was your enemy eh" Kintaro walked towards his village member and stuck out his hand for him to shake.

"We should work together for this one, since your the only cloud member I've seen so far." Kintaro said smiling at his new friend. "By the way, Whats your name?"

"Seems you are quite capable though, some needles would have stabbed your neck, hehehehe I'll join you, the names Akio."

As the umbrella hovered down back to Akio the snow was beginning to fog up Akio's glasses. As Akio wiped his glasses than fastened his umbrella to his back.

"Your name is?"

As Akio began to wipe the snow off his clothes he saw the shinobi's large sword. Akio was amazed that the shinobi could wield a blade with such calibur. Akio grinned to see another person who uses a unique weapon.

"So, what do you call that sword?"

"If you wanted to know my umbrella is named Tsubame (Swallow)."

Akio stood up and looked at the other ninja wondering how capable he was in combat.

OOC: its a bit back but this is in response to Russ's post back on pg 15 I think

ic:

Nago began preparing handseals. With a hint extra Nago contributed his bloodline into it. It was like the Suijinheki, which created a 20 foot radius of melted snow; now water. This gave Nago the advantage. Nago used the water on the ground to create another jutsu. This one was one to attack Hasius who had rolled out of the puddle. Nago then saw him throw Kunais and a shuriken at him. It was a long ranged and directly at him, so dodging them was easy enough. Nago then saw Hasius charge towards him. Nago did a side flip with his both his hands clasped together, with a handseal. Nago did this flip to avoid the Kunai. When Nago was upside-down in the flip he yelled out.

"Suikoudan no Jutsu!"

A huge column of water from behind where Nago was at rose up spearing through the air towards Hasius. Nago landed his flip perfectly back into the water, The jutsu used up a lot of the water. It was also heat modified, so if it had made contact at Hasius It would also burn him. Hasius was charging too fast, and the jutsu was too big for a sword to block. Ryu saw The surprised Shuriken thrown by Hasius. It was eaten alive by the jutsu created by Nago. It's too late for hasius to fall back now, but who knows he might have something up his sleeves.

Hasius saw the water bursting toward him and realized it was to late to move. He went back as quickly as he could forming a fast hand sign before slamming his hand down and releasing his flames into the air. While the flame didn't completly evaporate the water nor did the force it emmite clear it away, it did however reduce a majority of the power as it sent him back bursting his sheild of flame. He fell back and gathered back his breath as his vision came into focus.

"Ok Nago this has been a fun little bout but I am done screwin around here. I've got more souls to burn."

Hasius flexed his fingers before making his quick handed seal and slammed on his left arm. He removed both sleeves now reveling that he was releasing an extreme amount of power due to these arms. He charged faster this time releasing a single kunai before reaching where his sword dropped. He charged throwing five kunai until he was within close range releasing two kunai and when he was close enough he threw his sword and charged arms at the ready.

"Come now Nago show me what power you hold in your grasp."

Bakuto looked at his enemy with intrest. Takeshi was smart...so didn't he realize that projectiles would be rendered useless since Bakuto could destroy them? Bakuto hopped backwards several times as the kunai came at him. The man had something up his sleeve...he wouldn't blow the kunai up just yet. As then closed in on him Bakuto slappped one into the other with his staff watching them fall.

"You gotta do better than that Monsieur!"

Bakuto yelled and then rushed into Takeshi ready to strike with his staff. Bakuto slammed his staff into the snow and pole vaulted himself with a flying kick to Takeshi. He was armed with a kunai in hand just in case Takeshi had an idea to stike bakuto in mid-air. He released a pouch on the innards of his coat that dropped half of his remaining cards as he hovered over Takeshi. The cards seemed to surround a good distance arouind the two...there were a lot of cards.

“I said give up and run away. I don’t care if you believe you can do it. I know you can’t. This war is not meant to be fought by people like you. People who still have clean slates. It’s meant for people like me, condemned to a life of fighting. Get out and save yourself while you can.”

Ike walked away slowly from the boy. Even though he had past out in the snow, his protective clothing would probably keep him warm. Ike didn’t want any real pain to come to the boy. He was just an innocent, a pawn for the Kages to play with.

It sickens me the way they think they can play with people’s lives and still call it ‘doing what is right’. They have no right to decide who gives up their lives just to fight a never-ending war. As long as there are leaders, there will never be true peace.

Ike folded his arms waiting for someone to come. It would keep his mind of such matters if only for a little while. The snow started to fall a little more slowly. Snowflakes passed Ike’s face as he turned round once again to see if the boy had gotten up to walk away yet.

“Innocents…should not have to deal with this.”

Hayashi watched carefully as the battle unfolded. The combination of blows from both sides seem to make things somewhat even, however Oto and Suna's forces were being pushed behind due to the altitude advantage that Kumo and Konoha had.

As they began to retreat, Hayashi quickly spoke into his headset ordering people to move accordingly while they retreated. Due to the enemy being unaware of the layout of the chess board plan, they ran in unknowingly to pursue their opponents only to walk into a mine field of explosive tags. This caused the enemy's numbers to quickly and severely diminish on the offensive. Due to territorial advantage, it appears that Suna and Oto had taken the battle. The Kumo and Konoha forces began to retreat as their leaders called them back to regroup. The plan had worked, but not without too many casualties.

Even though Hayashi had been sitting and instructing specifically which path to take, some of the shinobi simply didn't listen or they got the order too late. It was a double-edged sword, but in the end it worked in their favor.

The enemy is likely to come back again at another time once they prepare counter-measures to our little plan. Or perhaps we'll be the ones to mount an offensive and take them down now that they're weak. What will you do, Takai-taichou?

Hayashi took the headset off and put the binoculars away. The battle was over and he was disappointed in himself.
