I LOVE TO SUCK THOSE TINY ICICLES!
OOC: This is what is normally known as the 'Introduction Thread' for the Event. This specific thread is solely for Konoha and Kumo shinobi, so if you are not in these villages please do not post here. For an explanation of what the general scene would be like refer to Raive's fan fic 'Rise of Shiva'. We are not on land yet though, this is the ship ride from the gathered points of Konoha and Kumo shinobi to this 'Unknown' area.

IC:

The swaying of the ship on the waves saw the quiet conversation and jovial actions be shook violently. People were flung across the ship as a large wave slammed into the side of the ship. Kei grumbled under his breath as a shinobi had been flung past him and a flailing arm had hit him in the chest. He rubbed his chest and sent a shock towards the now knocked out man. His hands crackled with the energy that ran through them and he closed his eyes once again trying to just think about the task at hand. They were travelling to an unknown destination, to do something, Kei hadn't been told what exactly. All he knew was that he had been left out of the loop greatly and this annoyed him unimaginably. He knew their reasons why, but this for him did not vindicate their actions. Murmuring something under his breath Kei looked up at the groupings of the different shinobi. The relations between Konoha and Kumo have been good for some time now and the two villages had no trouble mingling with each other. A smile spread across his face as Kei spared a thought for the Suna and Oto shinobi. Theirs was not a solid base for conversation to be open. His eyes searched for anyone, someone that he knew and could talk to. It was a frivolous task though, he couldn't find anyone that he knew, as he rose to walk towards the other side of the lower decks on this ship. A wave crashed into the ship again and Kei lurched to his left, staggering greatly to maintain his balance.

"What is this captain doing!?"

Kei raced up the stairs and tried to turn the handle to get into the staircase that would lead to the top deck. The door wouldn't move though and the handle had no effect. He placed an ear against the wood, but he heard something that was like swirling. He stepped back from the door, and his face was wet. "Odd..." Kei stepped away from the door that was locked tight, the captain had ordered it so that none would get lost over board. "Very strange..."

Hakumei watched his breath form in the sharp cold air and blew on his gloved hand for what little it would do, even down in the cabin areas it was freezing. He sighed inwardly, it had been a long journey. He grabbed at a the wall as the ship lurched it merely came with him as he slid backwards down the varnished wooden corridor. He reached the bottom of some steps and fell onto them gratefully. A man crashed into the stair by his feet and Hakumei lent down and pulled the cigarette out of his move and stamped it out so the boat wouldn't catch fire, not that it would be a big loss. Someone shouted out something and came by heading up the stairs towards the door leading to the top deck.

Hakumei looked at the ceiling whilst holding onto the stairs to stop him falling with the rolling ship. Above his head a small goup of icicles were forming from water entering through the door. The person seemed to be messing with the handle to no effect. Hakumei turned round to stare at him, there was little entertainment on the ship. The guy was about three to four years older than Hakumei and had blonde hair and blue eyes. "Not strange. Just cold...Just bloody cold."

Why Tsunade did you send me here? What the hell would Oto want thats here?...What the hell is going on? And why was I not told to bring twenty layers of clothing?

The ship lurched again on a larger wave and Hakumei's head smacked into the steps, he rubbed it and cursed as the ship continued on its slow and creaking voyage. "Why are we bothering to fight here?"

Nickel Tenshi had literally just gotten onto the boat before he realised what an idiotic idea it was that he consented to Hissoris idea in the first place. How on earth are these shinobi to trust me with their subbordinance? why couldnt that idiot come here himsefl if he wanted to help kumo so badly...guess it can't be helped though all the top leving ninja are gone so It's up to me to lead this bunch Taking a step up to the highest point on the boat that rocked and swayed violently Nickel steadied himself rather quickly and spoke the best way he could, trying his damnest not to sound like a pompous douchebag.

"EVERYBODY LISTEN UP" he roared powerfully hoping to command everyones attention in one feel swoop. "My name is Nickel.....Tenshi". Knowing that it would garner some sort of reaction Nickel awaited the gasps and side conversations to come to an end. Nickel immediatley sawamoung the crowd of normal shinobi a few extraordinary looking men no doubt the real potency of the kumo forces. This brought a smile to his face and he somehow was able to press on through his speech.

"Your Raikage sent a letter to Hissori whom I'm sure your all aquainted with several weeks ago before this situation became apparent to any of us. Hissori is an officially discharged nin but your leader saw it fit to request his help, that is why I'm here....Hissori can not be here because he is currently on the brink of death" Again Nickel allowed a brief time for peoples reactions before going on with his speech noticing some key reactions from certain individuals. "Aside from that your Raikage has given me command over the people in this boat gennin and below so that makes me a general and more importantly YOUR general. Ive lead sides of many a conflict in my day and I was indeed present at the ekimenshu war several years ago as a spy recon soldier for the snow village. So with that said if anyone wishes to question my being here do so now so we can be united on the battlefield like we should be...I do not to lead a group that does not trust me so please does any one have anything to say?"

The rocking of the boat from the crashing waves shook the boat every ten or twenty seconds as Taiteki maintained a decent balance. He was sitting down on bench, a plate of food in front of him. He hadn't eaten since he left Kumogakure and was starving. They'd be nearing their destination soon. He began to wolf down his food as he held his footing on the ground. The bench wouldn't be moving. It was stationary having been bolted down to the wooden floor of the ship. Picking at the last bit of meat on his chicken bone, he tossed it onto the plate and pushed said plate aside. The boat tilted to the side as the plate skid off the table, crashing to the ground as the chicken bones and remaining rice grains scattered about the floor. It was crushed and scattered seconds later by the feet of constantly moving shinobi. If anyone was seasick, they'd be sick to their stomach from the constantly moving shinobi.

"Man, where is everyone? All I can see are Konoha ninjas. I can't be the only Kumo ninja on this boat. There was an army of Kumogakure ninjas when I was going to the docks to board the ships. Are they all on the other ships?"

Taiteki stood up, standing on the table as he looked around. Suddenly the boat shook again from a large wave as Taiteki increased his weight, shifting into a horse stance and holding his ground. Just in time too; he would have crashed into a group of kunoichis from Konoha.

Stupid ship...

Suddenly, the roaring voice of Tenshi Nickel caught his attention. He listened attentively, but the rest was drowned out as he heard one specific sentence.

"Brink of death?"

Awesome
Kuro sat a few feet behind Taiteki, with his feet up on a barrel he sat in a relaxed pose, he only smiled at Nickel's words.

General? You gotta be kidding me? I was a general once...least that is what they told me, cept they said I inspired fierce loyalty, that even at my first battle men followed in mt sted without a hint of disloyalty? Or was that a lie...did I feel like I feel right now? Like taking orders would be an insult.........I keep on encountering shinobi who claim to be chuunins and I keep destroying them, are chuunins from the Cloud weak? Or am I just way to strong to be genin?

"heh.................heheheh........hahahahaha................fucking hilarious.....looks like we're all on the brink of death...."

Saiyuki was silently composed on a side of the deck. He managed to hold his composure as the ship rocked back and forth, barely by holding on to a nearby railing and leaning against it. His eyes wandered from shinobi to shinobi. He recognized some Cloud shinobi he had seen at the battlefield a few years ago, though that was only due to his reliable memory. Hd doubted they knew him. He looked around for shinobi he knew. He saw Hakumei fumbling as he fell into some steps. Saiyuki shook his head. Then his eyes looked around for other shinobi that he hoped would be here. There were a ton of people he wanted to see.

Hero, Nevets.....Hissori, Namine....I wonder if they're on this ship?

Then he heard Nickel's annoucement. When he heard that Hissori was discharged, he was a bit shocked. He wondered what that would be. Then he heard that Hissori was on the brink of death. Saiyuki narrowed his eyes. He had met Hissori several days ago in Kumo. He seemed fine then, Saiyuki even had a spar with him. Then again, the spar ended rather early. Saiyuki wondered if Hissori was already a bit weaker when he saw him. Saiyuki shook his head. Then he heard a rather weird shinobi muttering to himself and laughing. He happened to be not too far away from Saiyuki. He also seemed a little famliar, though Saiyuki couldn't exactly place where this feeling of familiarity came from.

"That's not something to laugh about. If you're a Kumo shinobi, you should rather surprised to hear this about Hissori."

OOC: My IP might be the same as Brandon's because I'm at his house for a few hours. He'll post soon after me.

IC:

Nevets walked around the ship, his date with Tobi continuously ran through his mind. All he could think about was that kiss they shared after. "Good Luck Nevets," she said before blushing than running off. He touched his fingers to his lips before the ship was jerked to the right by a giant wave. Nevets snapped into reality to see Saiyuki walking around, an old friend. The new and more mature Nevets calmly walked up to Saiyuki in rhythm of the boat.

"Konnichi Wa Saiyuki-San..."

Nevets said looking at his old friend.

"How have you been in the year I've been gone?"

Sena had boarded the ship nearest to him, nervous of everything and everyone that was around him. He hadn't even been on a mission yet, but Tsunade had said that they needed all the help they could get so Sena was assigned. Sena looked out over the sea, his face completely covered, as well as his body though only with a light jacket. Then the man spoke, Nickel Tenshi, declaring his control over all on the boat. Sena shifted nervously before moving downstairs, the cold overwhelming.

I can't believe I was sent on a mission of this magnitude without even a sensei or anything yet, I've been taught nothing but what there is at the academy..........this won't work, I can already feel that I'm gonna fail....

Sena quickly grabbed a bowl of the mushy soup and sat down near Taiteki, slowly sipping his soup and staring at the floor, the rocking of the boat constantly soothing him. The claws tied to Sena's hips clanked back and forth, soon developing a rhythm with the rocking of the ship. Though it was barely heard over the many drunk shinobi.

Taiteki slowly took his seat as he turned around, looking at the person who had previously spoken. He was rather shocked by the depressing news of Hissori's recent struggles with survival. He was curious as to how that could even occur while Hissori was safe in the warm (at heart) land of Kumogakure. Kuro's comment was shocking nonetheless, but when Taiteki turned to see that Kuro had spoken, his shock faded away.

"Good to see you again, Kuro-san."

Giving a genuine grin, he turned around, another plate in front of him that the chef brought. He had seen Kuro in action for a small bit of time. He was impressive for a genin, but Taiteki's guess was that Kuro was no ordinary genin, or even a genin at all. Taiteki had no clue how correct he was at the moment. He could understand the comment now that he saw who said it. Kuro was a good person in heart, at least to Taiteki. He just had a funny way of showing it. He looked to the nervous Konoha genin that plopped down next to him, sipping his soup. Taiteki could see an emotional angst within the boy from his facial expression.

"Hey, bud, you alright? I'm Matsuro Taiteki of Kumogakure. Who are you?"

After hearing the speech and trying not to laugh at the fate that everyone now assumed was approaching them Hakumei got to his feet and headed over to some tables to eat. When the man had finished his speech the noise of men drinking and the boat creaking replaced the silence like a wave. The smell of the soup was enough to make Hakumei wish he'd brought his more food of his own. He looked at the chef ladling out the stuff, then at a sign by the big tureen. It said 'Norushing soup to put hairs on your chest.' Hakumei had to agree as it was placed in his bowl, some of the of the bits of meat already had hairs on them. He took the soup and sat at one of the nearest tables before looking at who occupeid it.

"Saiyuki. Good to see you here." Then he looked at the other person on the table. He didn't know that one's name so merely put out his hand and said. "Hi I'm Oonami Hakumei, its good to meet you. Whats your name?" Then current topics to talk about exhausted Hakumei went back to eating his soup.

So I do know some people on this boat...Surprising since I've only met about five Konoha shinobi since I first past my academy exams. Maybe I might enjoy myself after all.
