OOC: sorry for the late post and sorry if its not as long as Milos. "Well that was something different." The golem Musou was in stood up and Musou removed the cloth from his ears, they were ringing from the noise anyway since the cloth couldn't stop all sound. The front of the golem was scratched and large chunks had been gauged out of it but apart from a slight winding and a few cuts on Musou's arm he was fine. "Kisane you still there?" Musou didn't wait for an answer. "Help Namine to her feet check she's alright." His feet sloshed in water as he apprached the ice doom which had broken and partially melted. He bent down and picked up Takai who was badly hurt even if he was going to claim he wasn't, he lowered the bleeding body onto his shoulder making sure not to apply dangerous or sudden preassure to him as if he was made from fine china. Musou whispered to Takai. "I don't like the idea of helping someone who killed many of my country but if it means we survive I'll do it." Musou heard a clink when he stepped fowards and bent down to inspect whatever it was, anything to pass his mind of the idea that there was more traps and problems ahead and that they may have lost there trump card. It was the cracked and chipped orb that was once Fulgur. Now it was no lnger glowing yellow and surging with chakra but a dull bleak empty black like the night sky, all the chakra was gone and the orb had managed to use the remains of chakra to redraw itself together before the reserves of chakra died. Musou picked it up and drew it into to the golem depositing it inside a pocket, Tsunade might find some uses for it. "Namine your the highest rank here in any position to fight. What happens now?" Musou turned to Namine and Kisane looking down at the two of them, the wolf was also there its breath faster and shallower than a humans. Musou looked towards kisane again. "Is Namine alright?" |

OOC: back to school...uggh what a b****...anyways not as long as Takai...but i out did myself...
:) A few seconds after Naminé had fallen to the ground she felt a large hand lift her up off the ground. Naminé looked up shocked to see Takai. For a few moments his eyes would flicker back and forth between her stingray and her. After a while she noticed he was staring at her, but she couldn’t tell why. She tried to straighten up some to take most of her weight off his arm to make it easier, but she felt useless. Namine watched Takai mutter something under his breath when suddenly a dragon made of ice flew from Takai’s hand and straight towards her Stingray. She watched in awe as the two Jutsu’s combined forming some wild untamed looking creature. Yet if she looked carefully enough, she could make out the features of both the dragon and the stingray. Namine let a small smile creep its way onto her lips as she watched the two Jutsus destroy the orb at the center of Fulgur, but her smile slowly disappeared. Her eyes widened as she watched horrified at the sight of the shards regenerating back together. Fulgur charged up two lightning bolts letting them flow through his arms before firing them off at both her and Takai. Suddenly a large orb of ice formed around them, protecting them from the attack. Namine looked around quickly; it was incredibly similar to her own shield. She flinched slightly at the sound of the thunder outside of the dome, but what really got her nervous was the sound of the ice cracking. She glanced up at Takai and was only slightly surprised to here Ginji was his student…..well that explains a lot…..She hadn’t heard the part about him leaving her in there; she only heard the end about her owing him and she nodded slightly in agreement. Namine gasped at the realization that she was alone inside the ice dome. “Baka! Baka ja nai! Let Me Out!” Her small fists pounded against the hard ice for a few minutes. She couldn’t hear anything except the loud but slightly muffled sound of Fulgur’s voice, and the sharp crackling sound of Lighting. ….what’s…going on out there? Uggh…I wish I could…..damn it…I…wait! What’s that..? Naminé’s head lifted slightly at the soft sound of droplets clinging to the shield. ….it’s…raining… She smiled slightly, when suddenly the glare of a bright light illuminated the front half of the shield. She stood up and moved back slightly when Takai back slammed into the dome. She gasped out when he came crashing through. She went to reach for him to pick him up when suddenly Musou appeared, lifting Takai up off the ground. At the sound of Musou’s question toward Kisane she quickly replied. “I’m alright Musou…I just…need a second.” Namine slowly made her way out of the ice dome and looked around at the area where Fulgur once stood. In his place large scorch mark marred the earth and shards of his life source laid shattered upon the ground. Out of the corner of her eye she watched Kouken slowly make his way towards her. She smiled at him as she pet the top of his head. She then turned back towards Musou and Takai before glancing at a near by tree. The tree had a slight indent in it, it wasn’t much but it would provide enough shelter for them until she could get Takai as fixed up as she could. She slowly let out a deep breath before ushering Musou over towards the tree. “First thing is first…we need to get him fixed up before we do anything…he is still the Captain of this unit…and we can’t go anywhere with him this badly injured. So please, hold him tightly to you so that his back is facing me. We need to get the wound on his back before we can sit him down.” Once Musou had a firm grip on Takai to keep him standing, Namine began to let the chakra flow towards her hands and finger tips. She felt it surge through her body before the bluish-green chakra began to emanate from her. She slowly moved her hands to his back and closed her eyes as she concentrated on the task. Sweat mixed with the rain dripped down her face, washing away the blood running down her face. After a few more minutes the wound was completely gone. She sighed and went to wipe the sweat off her face with the back of her hand. It was only halfway done and she knew at that moment she wouldn’t be able to heal everything completely just most things. She was about to ask Musou to turn Takai over when she noticed something. Kuso….when did he? Suddenly the image of Takai’s head slamming against the ice flashed through her mind. Namine gasped at the sight of blood staining his snow like hair. She bit her lip and pulled one of the pouches around her waist from the back of her body towards the front. She quickly glanced in and smiled; at least she still had the supplies she needed. Namine proceeded to work on the back of Takai’s head, but it was worse than the wound on his back. She healed most of it as best as she could, but the rest she needed to leave up to the medics in Suna when they got back….IF they got back. She quickly pulled out the gauze to soak up most of the blood before pulling out the bandages and gently wrapped them as tight as she could with out putting to much pressure on his head. Namine reached down towards her right thigh and pulled out one of the daggers strapped to her leg, cutting the end of the bandaging so she could tie it off. She then carefully placed the dagger back into the strap before moving onto her next objective. She stopped for a moment after she asked Musou to place Takai on the tree; Taking a quick break to recompose herself. From the looks of it he must have fallen unconscious after he had fallen through the ice; either that or he was incredibly good at faking that he was sleeping. He was now facing her and she could see his face clearly, she sighed and moved to take a good look at his are which was completely beyond her help. She was too busy examining his arm to realize that he had woken up and when her hand moved towards his chest his arm shot out, wrapping his hand around her wrist. Namine’s head shot up and the words flew from her mouth before she had time to realize what happened. “What! What the…?” Naminé looked up, her face tinted red with a mixture of fright and shock. Her eyes darted around franticly searching his face before calming down to stare curiously at his eyes. Though his eyes where only half way open she could see the determination in them. What came out of his mouth next only proved her right. “I…I can still fight…I’ll be alright…I don’t need your help…just let me up…” He said in a deep raspy voice as he tried to push his way up. Naminé gently pushed him back down before staring at him for a few moments, knowing damn well he was completely serious. She sighed and began to mumble to herself as she took his hand off her wrist and began to heal him. “Stubborn men…Constantly doing things all by themselves…and this stupid bum …uggh goes and gets himself hurt when he’s supposed to be leading the group…I’ll never understand…now he wants to fight…kami-sama…help me…” She mumbled as she began to heal his chest. She heard him quietly ask what had happened and after a few minutes she stopped. She stared at him before speaking in a soft tone, yet loud enough where everyone could hear her. “You’ll be alright…you just need to rest for a few minutes. The tare across your back is completely healed, as well as your chest which should help you breath better. It would seem as if you fractured your skull after falling through your ice dome, I healed most of it…but the rest will need to be taken care of when you get back to Suna. You won’t feel any pain, such as headaches for hours, so hopefully you’ll be back in the hospital before the pain sets in. Your arm unfortunately…is beyond my repair…I’m not experienced enough to work with the nervous system, and even if I was the nerves in your arm are completely shot…” She paused for a moment and looked down; she felt as if she had failed everyone. She finally glanced back up to look him in the eyes as she spoke. “Gomen nasai...” Namine slowly stood up from her position on the ground and leaned gently against the tree as she moved to heal the gash on her forehead. She took a deep breath as she felt Kouken lick the burn marks on legs. Finally she turned back towards Musou and Kisane. “We’ll wait for a few minutes…but we can’t wait much longer…Most of the groups have already headed in, and we need to catch up….but with Takai the way he is and everyone else, I think we need to rest a few minutes before even contemplating moving on….when Takai is ready he’ll signal the other teams and we’ll head in…If you have any serious injuries come over here now and I’ll take a look at them…this maybe the last time I get the chance to. Only kami-sama knows what’s inside there.” Namine glanced down at Takai and pulled out the bottle of water strapped to her side holding it out incase he needed some. She then turned and held it out for Kisane and Musou, before calmly asking Takai what they should do. “When your good and ready…just say the word.” |

"I wouldn't have been able to fight...If I knew you were still out in the open...Musou was safe in his rock suit and Kisane was well away...Although...A thank you would have been nice" Takai smiled slightly and then coughed as he brought up dust and sand that had made its way into his system. He felt the cool sensation on his back, she was good at healing; his back was as good as when he arrived here. He looked to his chest and his abdomen they were no remnants of the attacks; he put a hand up to his head and felt something drip down his fingers and then laughed lightly as he realised how he must look. He looked down to his left arm and stared at it slightly, it was there attached to his body. However it felt as if it wasn’t there, he lifted it up and let it fall down onto the ground…nothing. …I could see an advantage to this… He couldn’t help but see the bright side of the situation, whether the light headed feeling was to do with the skull trauma he had suffered; he didn’t know or care. They had defeated the Golem and all that they needed to do was enter the cave in front of them. He slowly pushed himself off the ground with his left arm and noticed some blood run down his arm rather quickly, he realised that this may turn out to be a problem. He wiped the blood off his arm, the odd sensation of touching his arm, but not feeling it shook Takai slightly; he heard Namine say something to him regarding Suna shinobi and his head. As she said it he felt the ice working its way up to his head and slowly it repaired his head like it had his skin. It couldn’t grow the bone back, but it could set it like a cast. He watched her as she talked and could see the strain that healing him as well as everything else had had on her. She seemed to know what she was talking about as she went over his injuries and Takai sighed slightly, …Great…Kumogakure have a Med nin… He was shocked by her apology at the end of her summary of his injuries. Takai shook his head and as he did small bits of ice fell onto the floor mixed with the odd snowflake, he looked down at his arm and then thought of the previously sustained injuries; most noticeably his head. I have to stay like this don’t I? If you would like to live…Yes Namine offered some water to Takai and she seemed to enjoy being the most useful and senior member of the group. She could lead the group if she had to, although she was quiet and didn’t seem it; she held a commanding quality. She offered him some water and he shook his hand refusing it. “Give it someone else…Water isn’t an issue for me” Takai cupped his hands together and slowly in a swirling motion, as if the water from a bath was rewound as it went down the plug hole. In his hands appeared a pool of water that was still in his hands, it looked delicious to drink and as he brought it up to his mouth it was cooled down by his breath and as it trickled down his throat it felt fantastic. His throat had a tendency to become rather dry when fighting. As he finished the water he had created he shook his hands and the excess water turned into ice and fell to the floor. He rubbed his hands together and as he did so, he heard a slight crack and noticed a spark or two jump between his hands. He needed more practice in this form. Takai stood before the group and opened his mouth to talk, but instead turned around and entered the cave. Leaving the group standing there expecting him to make some kind of speech. He stopped inside the cave and told the group to remain still, he then shouted back to them. “Kumo shinobi, come here.” As he waited for Namine to come to the entrance of the cave he pulled his microphone from his trousers. It was bent out of shape and he tapped it hoping it would work. “Blue Team…Reporting In” Namine had come to just before the entrance of the cave. As Takai looked around and all seemed calm enough, he ushered Musou to them by simply whistling. He turned his head to talk to Namine and saw the hole in his top and then looked down and saw what was left of his top was a flimsy bit of material that covered his shoulders and right arm. “Cheer up…I guess we are even now…Although, I will have to take control of the group back now…You weren’t too shabby though…” Takai didn’t bother getting Kisane, hopefully Namine would be able to get her summon to help Kisane. “Also I think you deserve this much now…Daigo Takai, Suna shinobi. Sensei of Amano Ginji…And the biggest irony to come out of Suna yet…” Takai showed her his palm and as he did in his hand appeared water, Takai closed his eyes and placed his other hand over his palm with the water. Normally he would be able to do this without the other hand, but he was at a disadvantage ninjutsu wise at the moment. As he brought his hand away the water had formed into the shape of the flower of a lily. “Thank you” and Takai bowed his head quickly to Namine and gave her the lily he then turned around and stepped further into the cave once more. Musou made his way into the cave and as he stepped into the cave, a far off rumbling could be heard. He looked around and wondered what was happening, a brief few seconds of screeching met his curiosity as a huge boulder fell down in front of the entrance of the cave. “Ah…” He pulled the misshapen microphone from his trouser pocket, he went to put it over his head, but as he looked at its shape he decided it would just be easier to speak into like a normal microphone. “Blue Team, reporting some odd things happening…” Takai waited for a response but all he received was the infuriating noise of static down the ear piece. He held the microphone up to his ear again, trying in vain to get a reply. When no response came, Takai threw the mic against the wall. On the walls appeared lights that were somehow embedded into the rocky wall. Takai spun round and saw that this was the case all around them. Takai walked forwards more attentively now, looking out for anything out of the ordinary. He approached an arch and as he looked down into the room that was through the arch; he saw a switch lever in the wall. Takai stood under the arch and peaked ahead into the room. “Musou, you can see chakra from what I have been told…Check this room out, if everything seems fine then, you should be able to see that switch at the other end I would like you to pull it…I will stay here in case another boulder or rock tries to block our escape…Namine, I want you to see if you glean any information from the entrance of the cave…You know any writing on the walls, anything…” ------------------------------------- OOC: Here is the trap: 15. Questions and Decisions The group steps into a room which seems entirely normal and there is no obvious danger in there. However as they walk onto the floor of this room, one of your group is dragged through the floor as if the ground was made of water but more substantial….(more to come) |

Musou walked into the room after the rest of the group, there was a creak and a thud. He turned round and felt the rock infront of him, he may have been able to shift it if it wasn't wedged against the rock arch. There was something light dancing in Musou perifial vision he turned and approached Takai, who was looking out into a large room. “Musou, you can see chakra from what I have been told…Check this room out, if everything seems fine then, you should be able to see that switch at the other end I would like you to pull it…" Musou took some steps fowards stopping on the edge of the step leading to the floor of the chamber, he had seen something earlier he was sure of it. His eyes scanned the floor and on the edge of his vision he swore he could see a pearly white glow dancing on the surface of the floor. Musou turned to Takai but as he did so his eyes flitted to the ceiling, he stopped mid turn and stared at the dull empty ceiling. Anyone not in Musou's or the Hyuuga clan wouldn't have seen it since it wasn't the rock itself it was something projected onto the rock, chakra. Musou watched intently as on the ceiling patterns of white chakra danced, if Musou could see he would have compared it to the patterns of waves on the swimming pool floor when the light reflects and refracts of the water. So when I look directly at the floor I see nothing, when it's on the edge of my vision I see chakra...But it's reflected on the cieling because I'm not looking at it. Now I just need to work out what 'it' is. Musou looked at Takai. "There's chakra on the floor like a liquid but what will happen if we go on the floor I cannot say...I propose I go first since I'm in the form and therefore less likely to be affected...Besides you can sense it to can't you...The feeling of emptiness, our chakra isn't mixing properly so we can't preform jutsus. We have no choice Takai...One of us has to go first and I'm the best protected. I'll take the leap of fate and tell you what happens." Musou turned and gently moved takai backwards as he raised his foot above the floor of the chamber he slowly lowered it waiting for an instant pain or maybe for a numbness as it was paralysed there was nothing. Musou looked upwards, where his foot landed on the ceiling ripples of chakra burst outwards and Musou started falling forwards being sucked under the floor. He uttered a hoarse gasp as he disappeared under the ground. He was falling t his death he knew it, thousands of feet be-, there was a crumple and a shudder. Musou landed on the grund a few metres below and rolled onto his back clutching at his left foot. "Kuso, Kuso KUSO, it hurts." When Musou landed the rock over his leg shattered and parts dug into his skin, it was crumbling now slowly the rock would fall apart. "You may leave but leave." There was a dull pf and Musou felt alone, even more s than he felt when he fell through the ground. The rock on Musou remained however unlike before where it moved with him as if made of cloth now it hindered him making it hard for Musou to move. He grasped at any damage to the rock he could find using it to help pull it off'f him, a mold of the side of his head crashed on the ground a few mments later. An unearthly voice boomed out a question, as he did several lights were ignited and they lit the gloomy room. “Shinobi…Here you shall be questioned on any manner of things…It will prey upon your very weaknesses and render whatever strengths you had useless…As you are the first foolish person to enter here…Your question will be remarkably simple…On the wall there is a jutsu scribed into the wall…Read it out to me.” "Give me a minute this stuff gets really uncomfortable. I'll read the damn th-... Baka I'm blind how the hell am I meant to read the damn thing!?" "You forfeit the question without trying?" Musou looked around, now his head was free along with his legs and his right arm, he went to walk forwards and thought better of it when his sandal melted slightly. "So I have to read it from here...Does it by and chance say Goukakyuu no Jutsu." Incorrect yet close nonetheless. It is a shame I must still crush your friends above." "Crush my friends you never mentioned that! This is unfair." There was a loud rumbling from above. "You never asked, life is unfair and the world won't stop and say 'Is it oh sorry then.' and the correct answer was Dai Endan." |

OOC: sorry for the late post...i kept getting side tracked...*sigh* IC: Naminé’s eye twitched slightly when Takai called her the “Kumo shinobi” instead of using her name. She wanted to make a side comment like ‘I have a name you know’…or something like that but decided against it. She glanced at the bent microphone in his hands as he spoke into it. She then turned her attention completely towards him as he properly introduced himself. She lifted an eyebrow at his mention of irony and cocked her head to the side curiously to look at the water forming in the palm of his hand. When his other hand disappeared Naminé stared in wonder at the lily in his hand. “Sugoi! Arigatou gozimasu Takai-san.” She was shocked to hear him say thanks, and a small flush adored her features as he bowed. She mumbled something under her breath before gently moving past him. Namine looked around carefully before walking in. The moment she walked into the room it was as if she had been completely drained of everything. What the….my…my chakra…what’s going on? …At least its not only me…we need to be careful…Namine thought as she looked over at Musou. Namine then turned towards the side wall nearest towards her only to jerk back in surprise. She unconsciously took a step back and whispered to Takai and Kisane. “Do you see that? It looks like…some kind of Gargoyle. Ah…and there’s writing here too…but I can only really tell bits and pieces.” Namine tried to look away from the gargoyle that was protruding out of the cave wall; as if it was headed straight for her…it was the most disturbing little troll-looking thing she had ever seen in her life. Its eyes were closed, but its face was contorted. Its nostrils were flared and half its lip came across its face like the longest smirk you would ever see. It had razor sharp like claws and pointy demonic horns that were slightly bent like a curved blade. She shivered slightly and turned back towards the writing. She dropped down into a swatting position and gently slid her fingertips across the wall. She took a moment to study and observe the symbols, rereading the messages over and over. “Its kind of hard to make out exactly what it says….its a loose translation but…I think it says something like: From…the moment…no…from the time……something…steps through the thresh hold……the fate of ….something….cannot be reversed….here…in this…no...It says….through this…….something….your…lives will be tested…and sacrifice must be made…to spare the lives of …..Something…You must… find away….to escape …what lies ahead….is-.” Naminé’s sentence was stopped when she heard a gasp come from Musou’s direction. Her head whipped around just in time to see his body disappear into the depths of the earth. A gasp escaped her mouth as she her self sprung up to reach for him but it was too late. Namine suddenly slammed her fist against the wall. “Damn it!” After a few moments Naminé heard movement and jumped slightly when Kouken moved next to her. She sighed quietly and began to whisper something to him…about how she didn’t feel Musou should have gone first…and she was worried something happened to him. All the while no one seemed to notice that the gargoyle on the wall behind Namine’s eyes opened, as well as two other Gargoyles; one above in the ceiling, and the other was in the wall across the way. Suddenly Kouken jerked away from Naminé and spun around, he began to growler a deep sound that vibrated through the room. “We’ve got company.” He growled to Namine as she sprang up and twisted around to stare in fright as the gargoyle slipped its body out of the rocks and stood before them. The one up in the ceiling tore its body and its wings from the ceiling as it jumped down in front of Takai. A vicious smile plagued its features and it uttered words that Naminé couldn’t make out as human. It was as if it was….speaking backwards…..was that possible? The gargoyle had a massive scythe in its hands made of solid rock. The tip of the scythe was extremely sharp; sharp enough to tare through flesh and bone. The other Gargoyle was slightly smaller and moved in a crawling like motion towards Kisane and Kouken. Namine reached back for her Naginata, pulling it out in front of her as she watched the gargoyle pull out what looked like a massive Axe from the wall. “Kuso...Kouken, protect Kisane as best as you can till I get there…please…” Namine swung the naginata above her head, she watched hesitantly as the gargoyles eyes turned blood red and his smirk grew. Suddenly it moved at a quick speed towards her swinging its axe down upon her. Namine lifted her naginata trying to stop the force of the axe, but he only seemed stronger. She bent her knees and tried to keep her stance, pushing back at the gargoyle. She suddenly regained some of her balance and with her grip holding fast on her naginata, she pushed forward as hard as she could; enviably breaking off the creatures arm. Namine gasped and swung her naginata again but this time she smacked the creature across its face. When its head swung 360 degrees before coming back to face her again, Namine screamed and quickly jumped back. She then franticly reached inside her holster and pulled out an ice bomb, throwing it directly at the gargoyle. Ice formed across its entire body…freezing the monstrosity in place. Namine sighed before turning around to run toward Kisane. She saw the Gargoyles claw coming down upon Kouken and she threw herself in front of it. The massive yet strong claw completely knocked Namine sideways causing her to hit the wall. She coughed as she looked down to see the sight of blood dripping down her shoulder….Kuso…. She slowly reached down to her holster and pulled out another bomb…tossing it at the creatures feet. Hopefully she would end up stopping it in its tracks so Takai could finish it off. |

Takai watched as the Gargoyle appeared in front of him, it looked especially sadistic. It has such a huge smile spread across its face that held not a single drop of good will, it was filled with a sick pleasure. In its hand was a scythe that although was clearly made of rock, looked as sharp as any diamond. The gargoyle slowly stepped forwards and opened its mouth, in its mouth were a set of ugly looking teeth that were also made of rock. The gargoyle like creature closed its mouth and replaced the previous smile which stretched across its face; with one that showed the true extent of his awful jaws. It pulled the scythe off its back and started dropped the length of the handle on his hand and walked slowly towards Takai. Although it was miniscule in size, its blood lust was as fierce as any demon's. It's paced quickened, and in a flash it had sent its scythe slicing through the air. It grew ever closer with each slash and Takai had to take a couple steps backwards as it hopped closer. Takai smiled as he easily dodged the creature, this was meant to be what had been causing the other groups such hardship. This was a trap in this cavernous place; how could this in anyway take down the ANBU sent in here. “Haha…Hahaha, you, you pathetic little things are here to try and stop us?” He seemingly continued to dance about with this little gargoyle attacking him. Or at least trying valiantly to, his arms were too short to attack him from far away; and Takai was not about to let him get closer, which the gargoyle couldn’t with his stout body. This continued for some time, whilst Takai heard some clattering behind him. He presumed it was Namine clearing out the room as Takai suspected there to be more than this in here. They would most likely go for her as she seemed the easier target, they would receive a surprise though. Takai started encircling the gargoyle and teasing him, the fury on the little gargoyle’s face grew ever more. However, when he heard a scream come from behind him and it was from a girl; he knew play time was well and truly over. He stopped moving and the gargoyle took it as his chance to attack, Takai meanwhile had put his hand behind his head and firmly gripped the hilt of his weapon. He pulled it away from his back and heard a slight click; He pulled it up from his back and held it on his shoulder. It wasn’t as heavy for Takai as he had added an augmentation, but for anyone else it would be dramatically heavier than any weapon they had held before. The gargoyle was close to Takai now; it had launched its attack at him. Takai looked down at his left arm and shrugged his shoulders. He brought his left arm up to block the attack from the scythe, he heard a slight cracking and then saw the scythe go into his arm and meet a stop at the bone. “I am sorry, no time to f*** about anymore” Takai grabbed hold of the scythe with his left hand and held it still. It was surprisingly heavy, but the gargoyle’s strength was by no means a match for Takai in his current state. Takai flicked the broadsword up off his shoulder and brought it down onto the Gargoyle’s head. He saw in his peripheral vision Namine fly sideways whilst he was attacking the gargoyle. One thought ran through his head at the time, F***, why can’t they look after themselves… Takai added some more to his attack, and the broadsword after a split second of resistance sliced through the gargoyle made from rock. He looked at the sword and pondered for a brief moment as to how it managed to do this. He didn’t care how it did it; it did it and hopefully would do so again. He pulled the scythe from his arm and saw it quickly become coated in his blood. He laughed slightly, benefit of not feeling it he supposed, the gargoyle that had attacked Namine was now making its way over to her and she didn’t seem to be in the greatest shape. Blood was trickling down her arm and no doubt she had taken a hit on one of the jagged rocks. As he drew closer a thought struck him that ultimately confused Takai after he let it run through his mind. …Is she alright…Wait what? As he headed to the gargoyle he was perplexed by the thought, he shook it off though and as he came close enough to the gargoyle he sliced the broadsword horizontally; slicing the gargoyle in two. He left the broadsword’s momentum carry him slightly, and Takai spun around caught the broadsword on his right shoulder as he came round to face Namine again. He was about to say something, when she threw something at him that exploded on his legs. He saw up and down his shins ice was creeping up his legs and down to the floor. “What in the hell--“ His response was cut short as the ice had made its way to the floor and had frozen to the floor, rendering him motionless. Takai sighed and brought the broadsword off his shoulder once again and slammed it into the rocky cave floor. It pierced through it like butter and along with the rock floor the ice. He cut the ice away from the cave floor making sure not to cut his feet, but as the sword slammed into the ground he made a face to say he had missed the floor. He shouted out in pain to make her think he had cut into his feet. He kept his hand still, and didn’t move the broadsword as he had cut himself free. He cursed to simulate that he was really hurt, but as he saw the concern grow on Namine’s face. He stopped and smiled; he walked backwards and lifted his feet up, feet, toes and all in tow. “Heh, just a bit of harmless fun…” He scratched the back of his head, and tried to make her see the funny side of it all. He looked around him for a moment and then recalled what had happened. “Hey! You threw a bomb at me! Worst of all a bomb of ice! I said I was ironic before, but jeeze…You remember the dragon made of ice and you have seen my broadsword…” Takai sat down put his back against the wall slightly and felt the jagged rocks press into his back. “…I learnt how to create that jutsu and how to use the broadsword under the tutelage of Momochi Zabuza…Heh, the Demon of Kirigakure…He owed me though…” Takai got up and shook himself down getting rid of any dust on him. “…I did save his life…” Takai’s head turned towards the hall that Musou had walked into and heard some scuffling of feet and the odd whelp of pain. He leaned his head forwards and in the dim light it seemed as if the walls were moving. It was only as he heard a wicked cackling and light bathe a smile into his vision, did he know what was happening. Takai looked towards Namine and pulled her up. He picked her Naginata up and placed it firmly in her hand. “We aren’t done yet…” |

OOC: sorry for the late post. IC: Namine froze as she looked up to see Takai standing stuck in ice right where the gargoyle was previously standing. She watched him try to cut away the ice around his legs with his broadsword. She hadn’t even known she had been holding her breath until he shouted out in pain. Namine gasped in shock but when Takai smiled, her expression changed completely. Her eye twitched in annoyance as she glared at him before giving him a piece of her mind. “Takai no Baka….harmless fun my ass….you scared me…uggh and it’s not my fault that You were in the way when I threw that bomb…and yes…I remember your ice dragon.” Namine moved slightly to cross her arms over her chest and turned away from Takai. Namine listened quietly to his word….Zabuza…isn’t…he a sound ninja….?Namine was brought out of her thoughts at the sound of something coming happening down the hallway Musou went through. “What the hell is that?” Namine took hold of the naginata as she slowly pushed herself up off the wall. There before them was a sea of Gargoyles, none with actual weapons, just extremely sharp teeth and claws. Their red beady eyes loomed through the shadows of the hallway and their crooked smiles only seemed to grow bigger as they took sight of Namine and Takai. From what she could see with her eyes, there was about fifty of them. Namine took a step backward, gripping her Naginata tightly with both hands as she waited for them to attack. Suddenly they all seemed to leap from the shadows towards her and Takai. One tried to jump for Naminé’s head meanwhile another went straight for her stomach, but she quickly ducked and stepped forward with her left foot as she stabbed the gargoyle. She quickly spun so that the gargoyle would smash against the wall. She then turned the rest of the way around the Slash downwards at gargoyle that once stood behind her. Namine jumped forward and spun around so she was facing the army of gargoyles. She stabbed her naginata into the wall next to her and pulled out some wire. About five little gargoyles were running straight for her, Naminé pivoted to the side and began to reverse the action. Namine began to wrap wire around them, enviably tying them together. She then throw another ice bomb and watched as the at least four of them froze. Namine then kicked over the gargoyles, knocking them over top of a few more coming her way. She pulled out her Naginata out of the wall and began to slash at anything that came her way, staying clear of Takai, Kouken and Kisane. Once in a while some of the gargoyles would actually cut her, but she would come back with a vengeance and cut them down as best as she could. One of those little bastards managed to get her bad shoulder, making it bleed worse than before and Naminé hissed in pain as she shook it off her. She then swiped her Naginata at it continuously until there was nothing but ruble left. She panted quietly to herself and tried to regain her composure…but it seemed as if these stupid things just wouldn’t stop coming. She hadn’t had the chance to check on Takai…but she was sure he was fairing well on his own. It was as if they were fighting two different wars against the same enemy. Namine continued to slash her naginata at every little creature around her; every once and a while she could see Kouken in the corner of her eye smashing the gargoyles as well. She smiled lightly to herself and continued to fight until all the gargoyles were gone. When it was done she dropped to the floor and tried to gather her breath, looking around at all the either smashed or frozen creatures around them. She then looked at Takai as she pulled out bandages for her arm. It was best for her to wrap up her wound now before it got infected. She tore her eyes away from him for a moment to patch up her injury. When she was done she looked up and quietly spoke… “I wonder how Musou is fairing….do you think he’s okay?” She waited patiently for his reply. |

I LOVE TO SUCK THOSE TINY ICICLES!

Takai watched as the horde of gargoyles descended upon their position. they came in their droves and their snarling jaws out a cry of blood lust; their vicious claws screeched along the cave walls. Sprinting towards Takai and Namine and the rest of the group, whether these gargoyles were living or had any form of conscience at the current time it was irrelevant they had one single intent and that was to kill anything that came in their way. Takai with his broadsword in hand, was taking down the gargoyles as they came near him. The sheer number of them was evidently what their designers had hoped for, but they were simply being defeated in their droves by the group they had intended to decimate. Takai had finished with his gargoyle's and as he looked over to Namine it seemed she had also. He heard her question and replied to as honestly as he could. "I don't know how he is fairing, I just hope he will come back soon and enlighten us as to what he is doing down there...Anymore information on this place would be helpful..." |

Musou was crouched on the hard cold floor head facing downwards as he heard Takai, Namine and Kisane fighting for there lives above. The voice was laughing softly since Namine asked whether he was okay, the laugh was deep and snide each sound cutting into Musou's concience like a knife. He heard Takai's gruff reply and looked up where he would have imagined the laughter coming from it wasn't coming from all directions and echoing of the walls in the small room. "Will I rot here or will I be allowed to go back." "You think they want you back after failing them? You may return when the fight is over...And you will stare at the corpse of each of your allies. "They won't be dead. You doubt them to much...Your like that golem, Fulgur." Musou looked up and the last of the fighting died away. "Beating you will be no problem even if you keep using dirty tricks." Musou felt like he was being pulled up by some strings and he passed through the floor to end up surprised and drained in the room above. The first journey through the floor came as a surprise yet now he was expecting it he felt as if his insides hadn't made the return journey through the floor. He looked round, there was hundreds of broken rock...sculptures on the floor and Musou checked again, and someone was missing. |

Namine looked up from her position on the ground towards Takai as he spoke to her. She suddenly felt something shift underneath her and looked down. ….What the….? “Did you feel that?” Namine hesitantly asked Takai. Her eyes darted back and forth between him and Zaruko before she sat up slightly so she was on her knees. As she shifted she felt the ground shift again as if it was turning into mud…or quicksand. What other traps could this place possibly have? Namine went to stand up but it felt as it gravity was forcing her back down. She was a puppet in the hands of her unknown master…and he was working her strings, pulling her down to his stage below. Namine let out a short scream before she fell below the surface. The last thing she saw were the faces of Kouken, Takai and Zaruko. She couldn’t see anything; it was just an abyss of darkness. All she could feel was the disturbing sensation that she was being swallowed up into nothingness. The rocks, the dim light of the room, everything was gone; and then suddenly she came to a room. It was stone gray and there were vines everywhere. Before Naminé realized it she had crashed to the floor with a thud. “ITE!!....Where…the hell Am I?” Namine gently rubbed her back and began to stand up as she looked around the room. Vines consumed the walls from the floor to the ceiling. The room was completely empty though. That’s when Naminé realized something…if she was down here….where was Musou? Was he in another room? Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a voice behind her. “Haha, so another one you has been so foolish to step down into my domain and risk the lives of your team once again...Well then, the question I pose to you...Of the group above you, which one of the group do you wish to die..." Namine turned around and scowled at the thing in front of her. It looked like another Fulgur…or rather another gargoyle. All that was there was a giant face made completely out of stone. His gray eyes pierced through her own as he began to chuckle to himself as if he had a secret she wasn’t in on. Namine didn’t care though…she only prayed that this one wouldn’t be able to come off the wall. She raised an eyebrow at his question and glared. “What the F***…who are you? I don’t want any of them to die you F***ing creep! Namine retorted back angrily. "...Ah, so that is how it is then? Fine then, they shall not be killed quickly or without pain...They will drown under torrents of water...Of your creation!" Namine froze at his words. What was he talking about…her creation? It was in that moment that she felt as if something was being drained from all the other areas of her body and floating towards another. She felt weak under the pressure of her own body; as if it was working against her. She didn’t know what was going on but it had to do with what ever this guy said. Was he draining the water from her body? If that was true she’d be dead by now…right? Namine felt her knees give out underneath her and she collapsed to ground in pain. Her head bowed and her nails scrapped against the cement as she clutched it for dear life. Her body began to convulse and she started to gag…Oh kami-sama, what was happening to her? Suddenly she hunched over and water began to flow out of her mouth, eyes, ears, and nose like an endless river. It bled into the cracks on the floor and towards the vines on the walls. She watched it in horror as the water slid up the walls and up into the ceiling. Namine couldn’t bare the thoughts of what could possibly be happening to everyone above her. The pain of knowing it was partially her fault killed her and she slid to the ground as the water ceased to pour from her body. All she could hear was the distant laughter of the stone figure in the wall. She glared up through her bangs at him and hissed… “What…did you do to them? What did you do to me…you BASTARD?” |
