"I got it!"

It was time for Saiyuki to do his duty. Itami had activated the trap, and now it was time for Saiyuki to deactivate it. Saiyuki made a short sprint to where the insert was. He hoped he wasn't too late. If he could, he would have used chakra to give himself a speed boost, but now he had to rely on his natural speed. Saiyuki dashed like mad until he neared the insert. He slowed down and skidded to a stop. The ceiling was coming down fast and Saiyuki had no time to look back and check on the others.

Arm.....here we go.

Saiyuki quickly inserted his arm into where the switch was. He then twisted the switch. He gave a sigh of relief when he heard the gears stop. However, it was cut short as the inside of the switch suddenly pressed hard into Saiyuki's arm. It crushed Saiyuki's arm to the point where it broke and was pretty much unuseable for the rest of the time where they were in the city. Saiyuki kept in a scream, but the pain made him sweat. He was panting a little as he watched the insert crumble into pieces after doing its job. Saiyuki fell to the floor, clutching his broken arm, checking it for damage. Then he started walking back to the team, to hear Kin's next orders. He didn't really look at anyone and his hair kept anyone from looking into his eyes.

Damn......it's broken alright.....but I don't think any lasting damage was done....I should be thankful for that. But that was just the beginning....

Seisho was in a rut seeing that the cieling had collapsed so quickly, each second it fell was so fast yet so slow to seisho, he saw kin and itami using there weapons but seisho had a different idea he did a backflip and let out his gorilla arms and legs, he stood on his hands using all his might to help hold the ceiling up, it was so heavy yet seisho would not give up, each inch it lowered seisho involked all his energy into his stance to keep the ceiling up, he turned after keeping the cieling at bay with kin and itami, to see saiyuki having done what the trap instructed he shoved his arm in and was instatnyl in pain

Damn this freaking cieling is heavy...even kin looks nervous, and saiyuki, what the hell is thaqt thing doing to him?

ooc: Sorry, I've felt like shit for the last two days and just managed to get out of bed.

ic:

Becky looked at Saiyuki in concern after he returned, noting his arm.

That's definately beyond what we could do right now, she thought to herself, turning away to look back at Kin and Seisho. I don't even see anything to make a splint...

Becky looked above her head at the ceiling which had begun to fall, and she glanced back.

"Are you sure that switch stopped it completely? What if it's only a temporary fix, and it begins to fall after a couple minutes? Or something alse crazy like that? It wouldn't really surprise me, in this place"

She looked back up at the remaining portion of the ceiling, then to the bridge.

What happens, happens.

Kin nodded at Becky's comment, they didn't have time, and as of the moment he only had limited medical supplies, a roll of gauss and some bandages. He put a hand to Saiyuki's shoulder, he was quite the expert on receiving massive amounts of pain, and nothing stung quite like the first few times. He still remembered when Seisho ripped a hole in his chest, or when Sasuke jabbed a chidori past his flank, and when he was slammed down a 5 story building by Ikkaku, things like that made the brain scramble with pain.

"you gotta get up, we'll take care of this in the next room...come on..."

Kin then moved on, stepping cautiously onto the bridge and into the following room. He made sure he always went first, as to make sure no booby traps lay ahead that may catch them off guard.

"Don't worry about me. Let's not lose focus."

Saiyuki got up and kept pace along with the rest of the group. He didn't want to let Kin or anyone else down in this mission. If the trap deactivation was only temporary, then he would have given up his arm in vain. The arm was just dangling around, so he had to use another arm to keep it in place. He analyzed his present state. While this hurt quite a bit, it was still nothing to being hit point-blank by a cursed seal level two finisher by Tenma. In terms of fighting ability, he was grateful he was used to only using legs to fight. But he wouldn't be able to block anything now.

Quite a burden....I hope I don't drag the rest of the group down.

Saiyuki had almost lost all contact with his dragon. He could only hear faint whispers of its voice. No bloodline, coupled with a useless arm made him quite useless now. He wondered what he could do now. He stopped thinking. Negative thinking always annoyed him. As long as he wasn't a burden, he would be fine. He knew when to get out of the way and when to move in.

Sigh.....less fun for me now.

OOC: Im with my dad so i have a computer for the weekend ^_^

IC: Seisho released his bloodline and moved along, the next room might hold another trap, seisho didn't know how many traps there were and was extra cautios but made sure he was not paranoid, he walked ahead slowly, he was behind kin and twords saiyuki, he looked over to him such a brave kid to wrecklessly smash his arm for strangers and do so without a problem, he'd make a good ally though only a gennin, seisho turned looking at saiyuki then turned back his glance to the darkness ahead of him

Hmmm, the kid helped us all out, is there more like that trap in this place?, do they get worse, is there more than one if any per room, this place can really drive you insane, its best i stay on my toes

Seisho kept on foward at a slow pace he was noticably behind kin, hand on his sword, he wanted to be prepared for anything

After a giant paper man, and the ceiling almost killing us, this might be a little more intense then i imagined

Becky's hand remained near her holster, and though it felt as though danger was still present, she couldn't help but to continue to feel excited. She knew that she was a bit lax in the taijutsu area, but she would be able to hold her own if something happened. At least, she hoped so.

I did fine when I was training with the sai. Who cares if I can't use fire? I still have my weaponry, and I still have my head. That, and this team looks really reliable. Hell, look at the genin. He's pretty good.

Her fingers touched one of her sai, and she tightened her grip. Anything could happen. after all. If nothing else, this experience would be a test, and an exciting one at that.

I'm too stubborn to get too seriously injured, anyways.

Kin entered the room, waving for the others to follow. His eyes lit up at the next trap, he almost began laughing hysterically, across the room were 3 floating panels about 50 inches in width. On each one was the outline of a question mark, and in the center of the room lay a pedastal with a large one arm gauntlet on it, at the tip of the gauntlet lay a blue tip, he approached it an read it. It was what he had hoped, some kind of riddle trap.

~Those who wish to pass, must answer the queeries, three, e're the other side of the hall he may see~

"corny much..............riddles no doubt."

Kin turned around to the other group, this was his department for sure. Saiyuki had to bite the bullet last time, but this time Kin would do it himself.

ooc: trap: 1 by one the riddles show themselves, and one person wheres the gauntlet, they then use blue tip to write their answer on the panels. a correct answer reveals the next riddle, however a wrong answer makes them feel a massive electric shock through the gauntlet, and every 30 seconds they receive a shock as well. To bypass a question they can take a shock thats twice as high in voltage.

Saiyuki simply looked up at the 3 pedastals. Again, he had never seen this kind of room. He wondered what powered these contraptions. If the city had been running like this since it was built, then it must have quite a bit of energy. Another secret that should investigated when they got further into the city. Saiyuki watched as Kin moved ahead. It seemed he wanted to laugh the crazy laugh. But Saiyuki didn't want to underestimate any of what the city had to throw at them.

So it's riddles....I hope they're not at a level beyond solving.

Saiyuki looked at the gauntlets. The city's architects probably inputted another painful way of hurting the person trying to get past the trap. He wondered how much pain the team would have to endure due to these traps. He doubt they would be let off easy. The architects probably thought of this city as a second home and while they had to be able to go in, they certainly did not want anyone else to also be able to come in as they pleased. He wondered if their descendants knew about this city. So many secrets were laid buried in this city. They would expose it all.

"Looks like you want to take care of this, Kin.....Good luck."

"It's just like a storybook," Becky said, staring at the stands, and she glanced over at Kin.

"Personally, I'm overjoyed that you look as though you want to take this. I am horrendous at any sort of riddle."

Becky's attention returned to the pedestals, and she stared at them, putting most of her weight on her right leg. Her excitement was waning as they made their way towards the city, and the fact that they could very well die here had finally started to speak up again, forcing her to be level headed. After all, if the way to the city was this difficult, this testing, then the city was going to be like a living hell.

Or We'll be lucky and it will be peaceful.... But that never happens.
