The world of humans is colored neither in black or white, but a plethra of colors. It is made of several components that make it unique compared to all others. Just as normal humans have different shades, so too does the world of the ninja. While there are some that are obsessed with power and war, there are also those equally obsessed with peace. Just as there are factions that strive for control, there are those that strive for chaos. However, not all ninjas are so open about their intentions. Often times it is what we do not know that proves to be the most dangerous to us.

Far to the north, isolated from all other villages by its location and its dome like barriers lay the small village of the Ekiminshuu. A growing nation supported by its vast economic powers and high quality of life, this village uses its vast resources to build upon itself a foundation of prosperity. The Ekiminshuu are a unique brand of people, trained not only by their traditions but also by their environment, they excel at physical conditioning which has raised their resistance to cold and their agility to super-human levels. Their village, surrounded by the dome-like walls, furnishes several complexes that support the population for both training their bodies and their minds.

Being such a small village, they obviously sought out aid and protection from larger and stronger nations. They sent out their letter describing their situation and desire for a treaty with the large and peaceful Country of Fire, more specifically the Hidden Leaf Village. Answering the call were their most reliable and trustworthy which included Mishima Jin who enlisted the aid of other oustanding leaf ninja. Accompanying the call to peace was the allies to the Leaf Country: The Hidden Sand Village and The Hidden Cloud Village, whom also sent noticeably powerful and honor-bound ninjas. They made the trek to the Village to the north with high hopes of peace.

But not all is what it seems...

A secret truce had already been signed before this initial letter was sent out. A dark truce, a cruel one, a secret one. Already allying themselves with The Hidden Sound Village, the Ekiminshuu intended to allow the Sound ninjas to ambush the allied villages of leaf, sand and cloud and destroy them once and for all. Pleased with yet another opportunity to crush his foes, Orochimaru eagerly sent his own best to bring a swift and final victory over those that would stop his conquest for power. Once again those that tasted war are sent out to spill more blood, once again The Sound march towards their destiny of destruction.

And yet even this is merely an illusion, a trap to entice and create delusions of victory. Even now all those that are involved are hopeless trapped within the web of deceit. The true nature of the small village of the Ekiminshuu! Beyond warmongers, above warlords, more than instigators, the small village thrives on the call to battle! Absolution at their own hands, destruction for the sheer joy of it, now is the time for the rise of the Ekiminshuu: the people of war!

The day finally came. It was a time to be cautious, but also a joyous time. For one group it meant peace and prosperity, for another it meant getting rid of a thorn from their sides, but for the ekiminshuu it was a day to truly live! The ninja from leaf, cloud and sand quickly gathered their men and women and started for the distant village of the ekiminshuu. The Sound ninjas were already making their preperations and the Ekiminshuu could hardly contain their emotions.

One might perceive them as cold and vicious, perhaps a bit of malice in them, but for them it was as joyous as a new year. It was the few times they felt truly united, the few times they felt like it was truly worth being alive. That being said, they weren't an overzealous people, even they made preperations in case of defeat. But with all the planning set and the wheels of fate set in motion there was only the painful left to them. Even in their short time together, the Sound and Ekiminshuu grew distrustful. Some shrugged off this feeling as silly prejudice, while others felt a great disturbance in the alliance. Nevertheless the time came, the three villages had come in bulk to the village to what very well could be their doom.

No sooner than their representative, Mishima Jin, gave his greetings to the Ekiminshuu represetative did it all fall apart. The hopes for peace were quickly crushed by the thunderous roar that echoed up unto heaven itself. Scales and weapons camouflagued together to create a knight of war. Creatures bent on destruction, obsessed with fighting, and desperate to quench their thirst for battle leapt onto the scene. It was that trumpet that gave the signal to the Sound. Soon it was clear to the alliance that the Sound had gotten to the Ekiminshuu first, and it was painfully clear tha t they weren't going nowhere. The gates to the village shut behind them and only the fangs of betrayal greeted them here in this graveyard of a village.

Amongst the confusion, the representatives of each village tried to make some sort of plan to escape. Masahiro Kaito, representative of the Hidden Cloud Village, made his decision on the spot: fight on. It was most like this decision that made him stand out among the front line fighters. It was all going according to plan, and the only variable was left to the small boy Oujou Kontan. Each nin appointed with special tasks were given targets, but Kontan was given a vague order. Following such an order, he came to the decision to attack the light wielding nin from cloud. A short battle ensued with losses on both sides and ended with no clear winner. That pattern would repeat on throughout most of the horrid battle as was true with Gin and Sasuke's fight. While Oujou Kontan would continue on to fight a familiar face, Mamusa Denma, there were other noticeably pride fueled fights. The Self-Appointed representative of Hidden Sand, Vldorian, eagerly sought out his own opponent. Despite the chaos, he found what he sought and challenged Demonicus of Sound. After their short confrontation, Demonicus took it upon himself to find his foe: Takai. Though these fights were light skirmishes, one fight would prove to be dangerously long: Zabusa's target, representative of hidden leaf Jin, would not go down without a fight!

But not all were focused on fighting. It was a fight for survival and friendship often times overpowered pride. While those like Takai and Wolf aided their fellow nin, chaos endangered many more. Even a few in the vicious Sound Village concentrated on protecting their numbers, in the case of Gekkou Kin and Vreselijk Raiko. It would be this very trait, this need for survival that would save them all...

The Second Coming of the creature of chaos. His ornamental horn placed on his lips, he calls out and signals the end of the facade. Their lies revealed, the war loving creatures reveal to their prey the web they have caught them with. The Ekiminshuu charge ever gloriously into battle knowing not fear nor pain. These lizard like creatures relish the moment to fight and do so with joy as their plot to betray all ninjas has finally come to fruition. At first it was no escape for the alliance nins, but now there was no way out for any human save through the Ekiminshuu!

Now all the cards were out. All hopes and dreads were realized. Nothing was left but to dance to the grave. Former enemies looked at each other with disgust and reluctantly joined forces for just another moment of life. True, some were more willing than others, but there were those that would not give in to the situation. The intent to kill was too great, and those like Zabusa and Jin continued to fight on until they stopped breathing or the other was defeated. Despite the few ongoing battles among humans, there was a joint effort to kill those wretched creatures that called for peace. Eventually, trump cards were brought out and forces were annihilated. While ninjas joined up, lizards smashed down. But even the Ekiminshuu received a shock of their own: human resilience. Soon it became clear that at the rate of the battle, they would lose. Even so they fought on, finally bringing out their aces.

The three Eidan came to the field with an air of dread coming from all, even their own kind. Endurance, Speed, Strength and their Leader and the strongest of all the Ekiminshuu, Youshi. Blood was shed, skin and scale torn asunder, the earth shook in fear at the sheer body count. Forces became squads, squads begat individuals, there was hardly any hope for victory. But against all odds, the allied humans fought on with every ounce. At moments they lost hope, at times they grew weary, but still they grabbed a hold of life and never let go. Even the might Eidan Leader fell but not without making their mark. The death toll was immense, while the humans lost a great deal it seemed like the ekiminshuu lost it all. So now, with a dire victory, the humans return home to heal their wounds and tend to their dead.

...but who won? Did the victor go to the survivors? Even though they were decimated, even though they no longer breathe, even though all their efforts were for naught, it is true that only they enjoyed the venture. If it was the dead that received the most joy, the most pleasure, the most fun out of this, why should we consider them the losers?

The End
