SOK Code of Conduct and Golden Rules
Objectives:
1. To understand and practice the behavior expected of Clan Members. 2. To ensure that corrective actions are consistent, objective and fair. 3. To provide constructive measures for members to realize and learn from their mistake.
Definition of Terms
1. Disciplinary Action – is the corrective measure meted out to members.
2. Reprimand – is an admonition or counsel given to a member for deviating from rules and thus warns him that repetition of the offense will be dealt with more severely.
3. Grievance – any complaint arising from the manner which a member is treated unfairly, or the manner in which other member are accorded special favors (favoritism)
4. Sanctions – is a penalty given to clan member who deviate from the policies specified in the Code of Conduct.
Progression of Sanctions

SCOPE:
This covers all violations committed within clan’s premises “Clan Premises”, areas such as but not limited to, the SOK Website, Clan Chat, IRC, Activities and Events. This Code of Conduct applies to any and all members regardless of status and rank:
• Leaders & Co-Leaders • Council • Warlord • Commander • Application Manager • Clan Member
Policy Guidelines
1. Disciplinary action or penalties shall be imposed the moment the member offense has been established. No clan member shall be excused from appropriate action or sanction on the reason of ignorance of the policies, rules and regulations stated in SOK’s Code of Conduct.
2. The application of disciplinary action will be applied correctly to the infraction committed.
3. The responsibility for maintaining discipline of members will be the primary concern of the Leaders, Co Leaders and Councils who shall have the authority to initiate any disciplinary action as deemed necessary.
4. Disciplinary actions are to be recorded in the form of a written reprimand.
5. Officials , at all times, reserve the right to suspend any or all provisions of this Code of Conduct and to handle any issues on a case by case basis. Likewise, the Officials, may delete, amend or modify provision of this Code of Conduct as they see fit in the general interests of the Clan. Members are also encouraged to make suggestions or recommendations.
Amendments will not be immediately implemented without members’ knowledge and only becomes effective after 5 days from the time of approval of said policy. Old provisions of this Code of Conduct shall apply during that interim period prior to the implementation of new revised policies.
6. Should a member confess or acknowledge the guilt before the discovery of offense, such actions may be considered as extenuating circumstances and may serve as a basis for the imposition of a lesser disciplinary action or none at all, at the discretion of the ranked member handling the case..
7. When a single act results in more than one offense, only the most serious offense with the severest disciplinary action shall be considered for the purpose of determining the appropriate disciplinary or constructive action.
8. Reported offenses not acted upon within the period prescribed under this Code of Conduct are considered “condoned”/disregarded and the superior who fail to take appropriate action may be held liable for negligence of duty.
DEFINITION OF ROLES
The responsibility of ensuring that discipline exists in the Clan is jointly vested upon the Leaders Co- Leaders and Councils.
LEADERS and CO - LEADER
Leaders and Co-Leaders They are the ones who decide and give necessary sanctions if ever a member violates any clan rules depending on the severity of the offense made
They have the right to give warning status depends on the severity.
Maintain discipline and promote efficiency among their subordinates in order to achieve the team goal. Ensure that policies and guidelines prescribed in this Code are followed in so far as their section is concerned.
They are the ones who will implement each rules and tactics made in official chat forum.
They are the ones who will maintain the peace and harmony inside the clan.
Has the power to ban members in clan site, irc and CC if he/she is not following the rules
Forum moderator in forums, which means they can open, delete, move, split, edit any topics in forums. even banned the violators Inactivity without prior notice will result to the removal of rank.
COUNCILS
Councils They are the admin, Their job is to update and organize the clan site…They are in charge on validating any new member
They have the right to give you warning status depends on the severity.
They maintain the peace and harmony inside the clan.
They also have the power to ban members in clan site, irc and CC if he/she is not following the rules
Moderate the forums, which means they can open, delete, move, split, edit any topics in forums. Even banned the violators
Act as grievance team
Give counsel or advice to violators before corrective measure is to be meted out.
Manage the forum and act as leader in the absence of Leader.
Council should assess all Application Forms to ensure that an applicant complies with all the requirements.
Will act as a Mentor. Should help and guide applicants in their applications and should monitor applicant’s activeness and attendances Should maintain forum activeness. Inactivity without prior notice will result to the removal of rank.
WARLORDS
Warlords He/She is in charged in updating the sign up list of every events.
Takes the first fall in all wars.
Should be online 30mins before the event start
If he/she can’t come to any event, excuse letter is a must 2 days before the event
Update members about what’s new about the clan. And remind the members about upcoming events from time to time.
In charge on declaring a war. They are the ones who officially coordinates with leaders of other clan.
In charged with the strategy and planning for every war and events.
Inactivity without prior notice will result to the removal of rank.
COMMANDERS
Commanders Takes the fall in once the Warlord died in the middle of the battle. Warlord should be online 30mins before the event start If he/she can’t come to any event, excuse letter is a must 2 days before the event Inactivity without prior notice will result to the removal of rank.
In charge in attendance monitoring.
APPLICATION MANAGERS
Should conduct interview on applicants and explain everything about what is SOK and Help applicants in all their needs, especially in technical matters such as, cannot connect to teamspeak, getting teamspeak , irc, uploading images etc.
Should assess all applications and do recommendation to council before accepting as Trial Member.
Should update the ML weekly (every Friday)
In-charge of giving ranks to Friends Chat and Clan Chat
Inactivity without prior notice will result to the removal of rank.

Members - Every Members are expected to be well prepared before every pk trip and any clan events. This means that they should have all equipment needed for the event.
Most Important Key Point for Every Members:
Helped out every trial members regarding towards the clan. Helped them a guide to tanking, binding and any questions from them regarding in this clan. Always remind them on posting and updating their trial member profile with at least 6 Normal PK Trips and 4 planned events. Also help them in earning money through organising a god war events or other earning money events to help them restock their rune sets on what theyhave lost.
Other Key Points:
- All members are expected to double check if their names are included in the attendance after every pk and event.
- Every member is urged to help co clan mates who are in need.
- Every Members of this clan are obliged to speak English both in pk trips and in clan site.
- Every Members are obliged to attend all the clan events; official pking trips and events to the best of your ability.
- Members are obliged to post a LOA form if he/she can’t attend pk trips, clan war or any clan event depending on how long they will be gone.
- Every Members are obliged to listen and follow instructions given by the officials.
- Every Members should always be updated regarding any clan events or discussions posted in the site. Similarly, all members are obliged to be active in our forums, respond in all the discussions and read the latest posts/plans of the clan.
- Every Members are expected to be on time in any clan events
- Every Members are urged to voice out your opinions, suggestions/comments in forums…If you have problems regarding some matters feel free to talk it out with any officials and other members… Remember that all problems can be solved by talking it out in a mature way.
- Every members are urged to add all SOK members to your friends list and welcome new members, help them and make them acquainted to our site and to other old members…
- Every Members should help the officials in updating and reminding other clan mates about any events.
- Lastly but most importantly All members should respect Clan Officials and of course other members of the clan.

Future Trial Member -He should check his application from time to time. -He must be active in CC, TS3 and IRC at all times. -He must attend 10 events and post all the event picture link by doing “[img](link here)[/img]” on his signature with his character saying e.g. “Elunia SOK vs. RSD – 6/19/11”
-In the event that Future Trial Member applicants has been declined he/she can re apply again But he can only re-apply trice. Once he/she failed 3 times he will not be accepted anymore.
-Sub-standard applications will be given 3 days to rectify any errors. Failure to do so will result in a denied application.
-Future Trial Members should comply with all the requirements stipulated in the SOK TRIAL MEMBER REQUIREMENT thread

A poll will be made by the Applications Manager. Poll will be closed 1 week from the date of posting. Result of the poll is non appealable. Members in LOA (Leave of Absence) (Benefits)- Can access the full features of our board. - Can join all events same with a regular member - Don't need to post an excuse form if you they missed pk trips, clan wars.. because they are already excused as being a temporary on leave member. - 1-4 months leave are considered temp leave. More than the said months are considered retired if he or she has valid reason of leaving and with good reputation before he went inactive.
STRIKE SYSTEM – Strikes
1 Strike will be remove every month. However if a member accumulates to 5 Strikes, he/she will be subject for kick
RULE I – ACTS OF DISHONESTY AND FRAUD
1.1 Betrayal of Clan Trust – – if found guilty - Auto Kick This includes but is not limited to, unauthorized disclosure of confidential information. E.g spying or Making own clan.
1.2 Scamming and Hacking – – if found guilty - Auto Kick / Banned
1.3 Falsification of Documents – 1 strike Refers to misrepresentation of information in application. Like using different account when applying to be accepted.
1.4 Bribery/Special Treatment or Privilege – 2 strike Bribery in any form or manner, or accepting/offering anything of value in exchange for or in consideration of any act, decision or service. e.g. Bribing officials so he/she won’t be given a strike
1.5 Excessively requesting supplies from another member - 1 strike
1.6 False Testimony - 1 strike Giving false statement to avoid responsibilities or to distort the true facts to undue advantage to one self or another. (e.g.) private chat off during activities or events.
1.7 Account Sharing in Forum – 2 strikes
1.8 Double Clanning – Auto Kick e.g. Joining 2 clans with 1 account.
RULE II – ACTS OF DECENCY AND GOOD CONDUCT
2.1 Unsafe or indecent posting of links – 1 strike You must not post any links to websites which contain unsafe or obscene material.
RULE III – ACTS AGAINTS SECURITY, PEACE AND ORDER
3.1 Destruction of Clan Site – if found guilty – Banned
3.2 Destroying or damaging property.Records or information of the CLAN – if found guilty – Banned
3.3 Entering / Using Restricted Areas – 2 strike Unauthorized entry or use of Ranked Forum are not allowed without prior permission from the Officials.
3.4 Threatening, Intimidating, Quarrelling – – if found guilty – 1 strike Threatening, intimidating, quarrelling or inciting to quarrel with a guest or clan member
3.5 Insulting and Flaming - – if found guilty – 2 strike
Insulting and Flaming SOK Member is prohibited
3.6 Inducing, Coercing, Bribing or Abetting Members to Violate Rules – 1 Strike Inducing, coercing, bribing, or otherwise abetting any member to engage in any practice in violation of CLAN Rules and Jagex Rules.
3.7 Sabotage – if found guilty – 1 Strike Committing act of sabotage in any form or manner e.g., Bsing/Pjing Co-member.
3.8 Other Acts Disturbing Peace and Order - if found guilty - Auto Kick Committing any other acts which disturb the peace and order within the Clan premises will be dealt accordingly.
RULE IV – UNDESIRABLE CONDUCT AND BEHAVIOR
4.1 Libel/Slander- 2 strike Making malicious and false statements or publications which tend to cause dishonor or embarrassment of clan member.
4.2 Discourtesy - if found guilty - Auto Kick Discourteous either by acts or words using disrespectful/offensive language against member.
4.3 Abuse of Authority – Demotion Clear abuse of authority, power, and discretion by LEADER CO-Leaders, Warlord, Commander, Council and Application Manager.
4.4 Uncontrolled Temper – 2 strikes Displaying uncontrolled temper.
4.5 Online in game but refuse to join the activities – 1 strike
4.6 Insubordination - 2 strikes Refusing to obey a legitimate superiors order or to follow instructions.
4.7 Tardiness – 1 strike Incurring four (4) unexcused tardiness in one month. Members are given a grace period of 5 minutes. In case of unavoidable circumstances leading to tardiness, member should inform the Officials immediately so he wont be given a strike.
Accumulations of 5 strikes will be kicked
RULE V – OTHERS
Additional Strike
IRC/Forum Rules
•No spamming on the forum, IRC and Teamspeak (1 Strike) •No flaming anyone on the forum, IRC and Teamspeak (1 Strike) •Don't post screenshots of private SOK forums (1 Strike)

[*] No posting stupid things in RSC (1 Strike) [*] No using 3PP to post other clans fight or own's fight Regarding even if you not using SOK's name account in RSC (1 Strike) [*]NO flaming other clans in RSC (1 Strike)
Member should give at least 5 days notice before the effectivity date of his/her resignation if he/she wishes to resign/quit from the clan. Failure to do so will result to IP address ban.
Members should return all borrowed items from clan member and settled all accountability before effectivity date of resignation.
Amnesty / Pardon - every member who were kicked or banned will be given a chance to rejoin the clan only if, he/she admits all his/her mistakes, ask forgiveness and promised not to violate any of the clan rules. Decision will be made by All Clan Member through poll.
Habitual repetition of acts stated in this Code of Conduct will be dealt with accordingly.
