Hi Everyone
Having had time to read lots of your postings its really good to see such enthusiasm for the sport, that myself and others enjoy both watching and participating in BUT it does concern me that many of do not seem to want to take any professional coaching.

Having been flying for some two years now and still learning I have been very lucky, having had nothing serious on the injury front YET but I have seen bloody noses, cracked coccyx and torn cruciate ligaments in that time, showing me this is a potentially dangeros sport.

Care and knowledge play a big part in both kiters and public saftey.
Not only will some proper tuition ensure you and others are safe, it will help you progress much much faster, enabling you to enjoy many other aspects of kiting,
whilst demonstraiting to local authorities we are serious about the sport and even more so about the saftey of others.

May I suggest that the club secretary contact Turbulence to enquire about any
discounts they may offer club members or group trainning they may be able to offer to the club.

It is impotant that we all work together on this and keep our beach safe or they WILL stop us all flying there.

Cheers and fly safe B)

Hi there rhylfil,In answer to your concern as to lack of knowledge and skill that our members have,We are a new club but not all new to kiting, there are some who will be going on to a training course in due course. There are some members who have just aquired a buggy and have made arrangements for tuition lessons.
There are some members who like the extreem side of the sport and have been doing so for quite a while now, but the vast majority of us do not.We all have insurance and insist that members get insured.
We are in contact with Turbulance, who have helped us in many ways.We are mindful at all times of safety.
Look forward to seeing you on sunday

With regard to club discounts for lessons Adam and Lucas have both said they'd be more than happy to come down and help us out with tips and advice on a club meet for free (we like free!) as long as the wind is there. This is an incredibly generous offer from the guys who literally wrote the book on instructing but we must bear in mind that Sunday is the only day that the shop is shut and they have their own lives (and holidays in brazil <git>)

Please remember that this is a public forum and is not edited at all. the opinions and statements posted on this forum are not the responsibility or opinions of anyone other than the poster
jeez I never thought i'd have to type that... ever
