As we knew the high tide was around 3:00 today (sunday) Sid had got told why don't we take a trip to Gronant. As I was expecting the tide to be in, guess what IT WAS NOT, it only comes in once in a while at high tide. There was a fantastic stretch of beach that was 1/2mile long & the boards was truly awesome. The sand was firm as well there was no soft spots there at all, so as we was blitzing the beach up it was just a shame there was not enough wind there. If you are interested in taking up buggy or boarding, Gronant beach is the place. I think we'll be taking more trips down there, to park all you do is pull into presthaven sands. I think we should organise a meet down there in there new year..

I've attached a map for location for where we are & where we parked if anyone is intrested in trying out this location.

This picture shows the tide out, if you look to the left of the pic towards prestatyn you will see the tide is in!! the Brown circle mark shows where the lighthouse is & the blue box shows 1/2mile of open stretch beach!!

thats great. we were just around the dunes from you! plenty of wind but not too much beach.
Will definately use the place when the tide is in!
that "green sand" stuff at the meadows looks like it would hurt.

Good place to fly. But the sand tern bird sanctuary is on the left of there. During nesting season it is a restricted area.
