Link In order to limit confusion … Ray Roth is the father of 9 children: * Ray-Ray Roth by Angela Shepard (May 1969) * Devlin King by Dawn King (July 1969) * Shawn Roth by Carolyn West (March 1971) * Timmy Roth (Timothy Patrick) by Angela Shepard (July 1971) * Christopher Sikone by Katie Charleston Sikone (October 1971) * Chuck Roth by Angela Shepard (Jan 1973) * Thomas Harrison by Korie Fox Harrison (May 1973) * Christian Barnes by Jenny West Barnes (July 1973) * Eric Roth by Myra Brettel (Dec 1975) Please note Shawn and Christian are cousins as well as half-brothers. Christopher and Thomas are third cousins as well as half-brothers. Other kids: * Alona Roth – daughter of Angela Shepard and Jimmy Lewis (half sister to Jaimee King, Ray-Ray, Chuck and Timmy Roth). She is the biological daughter of Jimmy Lewis, but legally recognized by the state as Ray Roth's daughter. * Jaimee King – daughter of Dawn King and Jimmy Lewis (half sister to Devlin King and Alona Roth). * Stephen Sikone – son of Katie Charleston and Anthony Sikone (half brother to Christopher Sikone). I think that's common to a bunch of people - I definitely do it. Probably because we know what we mean when we've been writing, so we assume it's going to come out right lol. But that's what beta's/second opinions are for! |

Now ya'll don't have an excuse to hold back on the next bits! I do hope we see more of the gang (or familiar characters like Ruby and Angela) soon. While I remember the second generation group from earlier fics, I knew them more by name and parentage than as unique characters. When they all showed up as a bunch of teenagers I was scrambling to remember who was who and related to whom and how! Seeing Two-Bit and having Curly referenced helped me anchor all the new kids to the existing universe better. And I'll admit: I'm excited to see Tim again; delicious, prison-hardened 90s Tim! Devlin is ultra-grody, but having him share girls with Ray is a masterstroke. It says so much about them and their father-son relationship in one fell swoop, and everybody's going to remember it--even if it's just because we're squicked out. |

It's hard to write a second gen fic and make it interesting enough that people will read, because the canon involvement isn't as high. I didn't want to shoehorn anyone in just to put them in, but I also didn't want to lose the focus. It's a hard balance. Hopefully it will be entertaining without as many canon references, but I really don't know lol. Tim won't show up until Heaven and Earth. In this fic he's merely mentioned ... no ... wait, he kind of shows lol. |

I have faith in you and Artemis. It's been good so far, and I completely understand how hard it is to develop OCs while keeping canon character appearances natural and unforced. My mild confusion is mostly the result of the fic being new, not problems with the writing; no doubt I'll have everyone mentally sorted in a chapter or two. Ooh, is Tim's appearance as a flaming, demonic apparition over Devlin's bed? ;) |

Whoa, that's what I call fast turnover! The changes that I noticed look great - some lines that I'm not sure were there before stood out a lot more, too. "He was making his way over, his cowboy boots clicking on the pavement." Was this line there before? I LOL'd. |

I actually have a question for either of you two to anwser. When you up-date usally it shows on Outsiders fandom right? Why dosen't yours? When we want to know if you've up-dated we have to come on here. I'm not complaining I was just wondering how on earth you do it. |

What I do is I set the ratings to All, then bookmark the page, so I always see all the stories on the front page, regardless of rating. |

In the upper right there's a box that says "Rated K->T". Click on it and make it say "Fiction Rating: All" then click "Go" then bookmark that page. |
