I really want to get started reading more fic. I need to catch up. What I would love is everyone's recommendations...your favorite Top Five Fics. Could be one shots or multi-chapter, focused on any character...doesn't matter to me; I just love good writing. So...if you could (and I know this is hard)...what are your top Five Favorite Outsiders Fics of all time (not written by you?).

(In no particular order) Okay, this might be cheating, but I love all four stories by fanfar3 - 20 Reasons by FeistyFeist - A Kid His Age - NittanyLizard - When Darry Found Out - NittanyLizard - Her Boys - Aiko-chan - Mercury Knew - Aiko-chan Most are one-shots, but they're really good, in my opinion. There's a lot of good chapter fics that I still need to read, too lol.

And I love so much from my favourite authors it's hard to not choose all their stuff lol. But my list, subject to change lol.: 1. Other Worlds Than This (Artemis Rex) - A more unique story is not to be found on ff.net. Dallas's discombobulation at being in a place he doesn't understand and can't control is wonderful to read. Dallas IS an anti-hero. The fact it's a Dark Tower crossover only makes it better. 2. Tender Is The Night (A Sideways Smile) - A girl involved with the gang that's a an actual girl and not a caricature. An asshole Dallas Winston, who doesn't reform. What's not to love? 3. Sweet Potato Sunset (Midori Cha) - A veritable sm�rg�sbord of common clich�s, done to perfection. This story is proof that fanbrat ideas can be well written when time is put in. I love witnessing Dallas/Sylvia through someone else's eyes, not to mention an intelligent and woobie-ish Two-Bit. 4. Mobile Soul (ski-ming) - A character most fanbrats love to hate turned into a real person that engages us on her journey. Her journey is colourful, heartbreaking and real. 5. Running on Empty (Emiline Harris) - One of my favourite Steve fics, which needs to be revived. His voice is perfect and I miss this fic. Runners up ... Mercury Knew (aiko chan), Her Boys (aiko chan), Come Down From Your Fences (maxiekat), Singing in the Rain (zevie), Saving Grace and Jealous Moon (Artemis) ... I could go on, which is why this was so hard lol.

That was fantastic.

Can I just pick authors that I love all their stuff? There is so much good stuff amongst all the crap on FF, we tend to forget it when it is so overshadowed by the drivel. But it is there.
