This forum is for fans of S.E. Hinton's novel (and film and TV show) "The Outsiders." Our board name comes from the filming location of the Curtis house used in the movie.

Deleted User	This story is about Soda's last thoughts as he lays dying sometime during the Vietnam War. This is the author's only piece so far but I think it's extremely well written. It's probably one of the better "dying" stories posted on ff.net in my opinion. Eighteen by Sokka17

Gang Leader Posts: 895 Group: Senior Member Member #29 Joined: September 14, 2007	Wow, it's really well done. And even before I looked at the reviews, I knew there would be one claiming that it's pointless to write about Soda dying in Vietnam. I thought that was rather irritating.

Deleted User	I saw that too and that irked me. Anybody can take a cliched plot and make it work - and that's exactly what that author did. They did it extremely well.
