This forum is for fans of S.E. Hinton's novel (and film and TV show) "The Outsiders." Our board name comes from the filming location of the Curtis house used in the movie.

It's about this young girl Ellie's life and her friendship with the gang. Although they are not the only character's mentioned in the story. Sylvia, the Shepards, and many more make appearances. She didn't move into town from Brooklyn or Texas or California or Florida lol. She's just always been in the neighbourhood and around the gang. Not many people do that in fics, have the character be part of the fabric of their lives so much. I also love all the back and forth with Dally/Ellie/Tim. Triangles are favourites of mine (duh lol) and it's really well done. There's a lot of undercurrents in Dally and Tim's behaviour and a lot of Ellie not seeing that. You always have this feeling that everything is headed for a very bad fall at some point, but you have no idea what it is.

No explanation, no nothing, just always there. I actually have an idea that could possibly be worked into a fic further (much further lol) down the road about why she was not mentioned in the book. But we'll see if that ever makes it to a fic lol. Thanks for the kind words guys. I know we're awful with updating, but I'm glad you guys like it. (And stick around to read it after a month-long hiatus lol)
