Good Fic Day

This forum is for fans of S.E. Hinton's novel (and film and TV show) "The Outsiders." Our board name comes from the filming location of the Curtis house used in the movie.

We have a great community here with lots of talk and snark about the Outsiders and fan fiction. We encourage all fan fiction writers, readers and general fans of the book, movie or TV show to join us. We love it when new users jump right in, so don't be afraid to bump threads and join conversations.

Good Fic Day; First Wednesday of every month

Gang Leader Posts: 8,711 Group: Senior Member Member #1 Joined: September 6, 2007	The Challenge: To prepare either a chapter update or a one-shot to be posted on fanfiction.net on the first Wednesday of each month of the year. The Purpose: To have every story on the front page of ff.net that day be from non-fanbrat authors. Every story or one-shot will have good grammar and spelling and decent characterization. We're all tired of looking at ff.net and groaning. This is a chance to make the fanbrats go "Huh?" lol. Our first event on Feb 6th was a runaway success with 25 updated or new stories posted. The next is scheduled for March 5 2008.

They deserve some cheerleaders -- and there's the added bonus of possibly scaring fanbrats with our cheers. The only idea I really have for a story that I think it's possible I might run with isn't an Outsiders story; it be Four Brothers, because Laura is a pusher, man, and I'm hooked. So ... yeah. I'ma sit this one out, too. I'm excited, though, for the wealth of good fic. It'll be the most fic I've read in a while. I'll be attached to my computer for hours. :P
