That is exactly why I usually don't, either - I don't like to mess with the master and I would never ever think I could tell his story as well as she could. But, on rare occasions, a story idea comes to me and his POV is the only one that fits, as in this case. As long as it isn't within the time period of the book, I am willing to attempt it. I'm not sure Pony can kick my ass as well as Dallas does, though. Dallas first absolutely kills me, and after I write him I can't write anyone else for weeks afterward due to the bad taste he leaves in my mouth... But I am just stupid enough that I give it a go anyway.
