I found it very choppy from a technical standpoint, and I was really distracted by the punctuation and grammar when I read. I suspect there was no beta reader, which isn't uncommon, especially for a story that was written so long ago. Some of the chapters are ridiculously short, and I'm sort of clueless why everyone sees all this emotion in it, because it seems kind of melodramatic in spots to the extent that I almost found it funny. It'd be interesting to see the author come back to it and rewrite it. I have a feeling it would be a much stronger story since the author will have grown a lot the last seven years.
