It was the first time in many, many months that people could enjoy reproductions of classical theater on a pleasant evening and with good company. Locals and tourists alike had long been spoiled by the performances put on at an amphitheater whose stone and marble dated back millennia. A return to normalcy had been difficult for many but such evenings made forgetting the pain and suffering of the war, which were still very much around, much easier, despite their transience.

Tomorrow could potentially be a day of major importance to the budding Republic, a people's republic born from the ashes of a bitter civil war. Representatives from Bulgaria would be visiting for high-level discussions, and while the ranking Porcuians of the newly elected Central Executive Committee carried themselves with confidence, there was no doubting the progressive heightening of tensions as the night passed and the new day dawned.
