"Let's face it, Germanic Austrian's benefit from foreign cooperation. Economically speaking we've bettered ourselves through business subsidization and with the newly improved government stimulus package rolled out this month in response to the presidency of Klaas Siegman" said President Fuhrmann as he kicked his retro socked feet onto his desk. Vice President Kurt Krüger nodded his head while typing away notes on his laptop related to an ethics report he was scheduled to release within the next day or so. "The government stimulus has definitely worked. Your speech to parliament definitely gained the momentous support we needed for them to get behind the stimulus package plan. Our economy has improved tremendously over the last few days, and thousands of people have returned to work. Excellent plan. It's definitely been a huge success. Of course, we had to make some budgetary cuts to the state welfare program, minor cuts to health care and law enforcement, but with the success of our social programs and education system crime is very low. I don't see there being any issues should you choose to run for reelection. On another note, the Gaedic Caliphate United, a country in the Middle East and North Africa has recently requested to open up diplomatic relations with us. Do you wish to go forward with that?" President Fuhrmann, paused momentarily to think. "Sure, well what do we know about them?" "Not much" replied Vice President Krüger "They're pretty silent with us. Shall I inform the Minister of International Affairs that it will be okay to reach out to the Caliphate to begin the necessary talks?" "Yes. As a matter of fact, I was about to call her shortly, so I will handle informing her of the new diplomatic outreach by the GCU. If you can do me a favor, would you mind informing parliament through a typed statement that we are pleased with their support. I'd love to get these economic issues over with and make my speech to them within a few weeks, I'd like to have at least some solid showing of our appreciation before doing so" said President Fuhrmann. "Of course Mr. President" responded Vice President Krüger before dismissing himself back to his office and closing the door behind him to leave the President in peace for a bit. The office of the President was now silent. President Fuhrmann looked around the paintings placed along the wall and then got up from his seat trotting across the blue carpeted floor in his socks. He sat himself down on the comfortable couches placed in the middle of his office and picked up the phone to call his wife, Minister of International Relations, Ava Fritzl. After two rings she picked up. "Mr. President what can I do for you?" she said in keeping with a polite and formal tone that she was expected to maintain while at work. President Fuhrmann, on the other hand, couldn't resist but to return to less formal speech when speaking to his wife, regardless of her duties. "Hi honey, I was just briefed on a request for diplomatic relations by the Gaedic Caliphate. I want you to send a specific response back to their government immediately and inform them to send the necessary delegates to begin the establishment of diplomatic ties between our nations. I'll see you at dinner, love you!" "Will do, Mr. President" she responded. He laughed on the phone before hanging up and returning to typing up the speech he would deliver to parliament in the next few days. Edited by Germanic Republic of Austria, May 17 2017, 05:10 PM.

Grand Palace, Plac-Millaes, GCU "Mr. Ribak!" The soft spoken man approached the President and his thinly veiled wife, "What a pleasure to see you!" Rabiha noticed his outstretched arm in solidarity, and threw his own hand in unity. As he grabbed his tightly bound hand, Rabiha pulled the young advisor towards him, slightly jolting him from his feet. Rabiha inquired, "What is it, Ahmed?" The newly appointed minister responded "It appears we have a message from the GROA" Rabiha's eyebrow darted upward "GROA?" Ahmed gleefully replied "The Germanic Republic of Austria. They are a powerhouse in Europe!" Rabiha, in his office, glided over to his desk and opened his computer. Trudging through his emails, he stumbled upon the report the young advisor emailed him the previous morning. "Oh, yes! This." The advisor watched in nervous anticipation. "I am deeply interested. I believe the Minister of Foreign Relations will be delighted to hear this: I am all in." Ministry of Foreign Relations, Plac-Millaes, GCU The Minister peered over his window side, "Where is my report?" The group of Secretaries pulled out a bleached white packet and propped it onto the Mahogany desk. The minister looked over his shoulder, turning completely around and stared into his advisors. He looked down on his cluttered desk, inspecting the report. "What does this say?" An advisor eagerly chimed in "Everything you asked for. It details the specificity of our Red Sea Partnership Program (ReSePP) which you said yourself sir would dramatically lower tariffs on Germanic goods." The Minister looked up "I had a specific nuance in this, did I not?" The advisor fired back "Of course you did. The plan would occur only under the increased military cooperation program the DoD wished to found, which would, as you said before, increase training exercises with Germanic troops and increase the amount of German arms for our military." The Minister chuckled "Bravo! Cambridge taught you well. Anyways, have this report filed to the German ministry soon. Oh, and be sure to discuss plans of creating a new embassy. Though again, that's already in the report." |
