The Holy Mosque of Naservia was full of all the gathered Tribal Leaders, Elders, and the Royal Family who had come to pray before Mahmoud was coronated as the new Sultan and after the Imam had finished Sharyan rose and called Mahmoud over to him before beginning to say with a smile "I, Sharyan bin Qabiovese here by abdicate the title of Sultan of the United Sultanate of the United Libyan Arab Republic to my oldest son and heir-appoint Crown Heir Mahmoud as the new Sultan of the United Sultanate of the United Libyan Arab Republic. With this I will grant total control of the State and Republic over to him to lead the nation into a new era of peace and stability with the world and region. I will take over as the Chairman of the National Tribal Council and continue to be the patriarch of the Royal House of Qabiaovese until I pass it on to Mahmoud after I have passed from this world into the hands of our Lord Allah and acceded to the hereafter along with our ancestors and our beloved prophets who have come before us. Mahmoud bin Qabiaovese come forward and knell before me my son and successor so I may pass the crown on to you and allow you to accede the throne which your ancestors to me have sat upon to govern our people and tribe. Do you Mahmoud bin Qabiaovese hereby swear before our Lord Allah and his word the revelations that our most beloved prophet Muhammad who has revealed our Lord’s word to us. Now do you hereby swear upon the constitution and agreement that has established our great nation and republic and hold true to what they have to say about the powers and limits of the title of Sultan and the position it grants to the person with it." Mahmoud responded "I do hereby swear upon the constitution and agreement." Sharyan continued "Then I here by crown you Sultan Mahmoud ibn Sharyan bin Qabiaovese Sultan of the United Sultanate of the United Libyan Arab Republic and name you Sultan Mahmoud I of Libya leader of the nation. All bow before our Lord’s will as he has willed it so that Mahmoud will accede the throne of our nation and continue on the ways of our people and of our beloved Prophet Muhammad the last messenger of Allah." With Sultan Sharyan as his last act removed the royal crown from his head and place it on to Mahmoud officials making his son the Sultan and the Tribal leaders and government officials bow in respect to their new leader. Sultan Mahmoud nodded his head before beginning his first speech as the Sultan "Asalaamu alakyum bismillah Rahmaanir Raheem. Today is a glorious day not just for me, but for the nation, region, and world as we have entered a new era of peace in the world. I'm proud to be crowned Sultan and honored that my father Sultan Sharyan has entrusted me to lead our country and people. I would like to thank him for his service both in times of peace and war along with leading our nation though the hardships its face in the past. I pray that Allah will grant him a peaceful retirement and life along with his wives who have stood by him both during good and bad times. I would additionally like to thank my brothers for always standing by me and helping me either by advice or teaching me new things. I look forward to working with you to help carry on our father's dreams both as a leader and older brother. We face many challenges ahead both domestic and foreign who threaten our nation and peace in the world. We must work together to preserve the peace that my father and the last Emir Fariz had created in our region. Finally I would like to thank my brother Hamza for taking up the post of Crown Heir until my son has decided if he wishes to become the Sultan of are great nation. Thank you and may Lord Allah grant the prays of our nation and grant peace in the world" When he finished his speech Hamza walked forwarded and bow to his older brother who smiled as he said "Do you Prince Hamza ibn Sharyan bin Qabiaovese hereby swear upon our constitution and agreement that governs our nation to take up the position of Crown Heir to the Sultan and lead the nation with honor, respect, and truth" which Hamza responded with an equally as big smile "I do swear upon the constitution and agreement of our people" than I declare you Crown Prince Hamza ibn Sharyan bin Qabiaovese and name you Crown Prince Hamza of Libya". The two brothers hugged before turning to the gather Libyans who bowed in respect to him. |
