Official Statement
F.U.A.N
The Federation of United African Nations understands that the United Libyan Arab Republic has invested much into the Walidistan territory. That they lead the charge against AIM terrorism in the region and secured peace for the Walidistani people is commendable. However, the Federation has doubts over the validity of the referendum and motives involved as well as the true extent to which this expansion of territory shall encompass. We would like to receive permission from the United Libyan Arab government to send observers from our Federation Boundaries and Elections Administration to ensure the referendum is conducted in a free and fair environment.

The Republic of Greater Cape does not in any way take issue with the Arab Republic's desire to annex the territory of Walidistan. Conversely, this government humbly requests to know the exact confines of the territory in question. As such, Greater Cape wishes for the Arab Republic to provide a map wherein the Walidi territories are outlined and demarcated. Ambiguity provides the potential for misunderstandings so a concrete definition will only serve to benefit both the Arab Republic as well last the peoples of Walidistan.

The Republic of Greater Cape appreciates the Arab Republic's efforts to accommodate requests such as ours. Provided the geographic area of the Walidi territory is well within the Arab Republic's area of influence, Greater Cape has no qualms whatsoever in supporting the aforementioned annexation. The Republic of Greater Cape commends the Arab Republic on its expressed respect for the democratic process and the peoples of the Walidi territory.

OOC: Haha, don't worry about it, Ben. It looks great and it's exactly what is needed for visual/spatial learners such as myself :P

The Republic will send its own team of observers to the United Libyan Arab Republic. Our observers will work independently of those of the Federation of United African Nations, but will release all its findings as a matter of transparency and an addition to the public record.
