Back in the bowels of Kale Sahir, Bash Cumali grinned to himself. He had won. He faced down his opponents, and they flinched. Yoloys was now firmly in the confederate sphere of influence, and would be the perfect staging ground for his future plans. He walked into the headquarters of the Confederate military, deep below the capital city of the Confederacy. He had sent the order for young Hedeh to be released, although under the careful watch of the Onco Kolordu. Agents would follow him day and night, until such a time Cumali saw fit.

He opened the doors to the complex headquarters. Computer screens flashed with maps running simulations and planning attacks on the surrounding nations. The large staff of officers and generals ran back and forth with reports, intercepted radio calls, and intelligence. Operation Red Heifer was being planned.

"C'est la lutte finale." Cumali sang to himself as he gazed at the various screens of the room. The predictions showed that in almost every scenario, the Confederacy would liberate the people of the Levant and Mesopotamia.

"Chancellor" said one of the aides. "the People's Army is prepared for the first stages of the conflict. Shall we gather at the southern border?"

"Not yet. Let us bide our time. Perhaps we can convince the fascists of the world that we can be appeased. Send word to the Persians. Tell them we meet here to discuss the future of a certain Transcaucasia."

The Lord Protector of New Harumf sent the following request to allied nations:

Quote:

From the Lord Protector of New Harumf
To all allied Middle east and North African Nations

The Navy of New Harumf would like to invite other nations for coordinated naval exercises in the Eastern Mediterranean. Those nations willing to participate would be preparing for a potential invasion of the region. Commodore Alan Grossman will lead the exercises and should be contacted for further information. New Harumf will be deploying it's Third Fleet for the exercises to take place in two weeks time.

Please contact the Commodore directly for further information. A meeting will be held one week from today for all participating nations in the Naval Command Post in New Zion.

We look forward to your participation.

Lord Protector Richard Simon, Protector of the Throne of the Most Catholic Kingdom of New Harumf.

Hedeh felt tears slithering slowly down his cheeks. Not tears of joy; but tears of anguish and guilt. The Confederacy had won. Yoloys was now under the watchful eye of Bash Cumali - the psychopath of the Middle East - all was lost.

Life inside the confines of Cumali's vast estate was a purgatory of its own nature. The young boy was almost reaching breaking point. Very soon, Hedeh will end up becoming mentally unwell - a fear, which plagued him constantly. Paranoia crept into the blank slots of Hedeh's mind like a jigsaw piece.

To remain sane, Hedeh would try and distract himself - by either writing poetry or teaching the "guards" - who were assigned to watch-over him at all times - some few snippets of Yoloyese. By doing this, Hedeh was able to forget about Bash Cumali.

The "devil" himself, Bash Cumali, was like no other human being. Ruthless and cold blooded, the leader of the MESS showed increasing signs of sadism and brutality. If Hedeh stepped out of line, the punishment in forced by Cumali, would surely see the boy being killed in a torturous manner - or worse. To survive, Hedeh must keep quiet and try to avoid the dictator at all cost.

"Chancellor," the young aide said aloud from the office doorway, "Lord General Osman is here, with urgent news from below."

Chancellor Cumali turned his large leather chair in a one-eighty, facing the scarred, cracked face of the ancient general. "Speak." He said plainly.

"As you know sir, the royalists to the south fight among themselves." The old general's words and deep voice rank throughout the office. "Now would be an opportune time to strike. We also have heard no word from the Persians and their emperor."

The Chancellor sighed. "Very well. We will not attack yet, else we will simply unify the Arabs. Make preparations to move on the Dominion sympathizers in the Caucasus. Those mountains will not stand between us and the liberation of there oppressed peoples. Leave, and make your plans Lord General."

"Yes, Chancellor. Long live the Proletariat Cause."

Cumali repeated the phrase and the general left.
