OCC: Seraphina is from the Kasynian Imperial Family right? IC: After many months of searching Prince Hamza has found a princess who he hopes will be his wife and her name was Princess Seraphina of Imperial Family of Kasnyia who was a little bit older then him along with being a devoted being a devoted Catholic but he didn't mind. OOC- Yes. IC- Guranburg, Kasnyia In lieu of the death of the Emperor and the political jostling for the Regency, the Crown Prince and soon to be Emperor, Kristophe Xavier II, decided a bit of good news was warranted. His sister, Seraphina, had made it a point to take on the duties of their late aunt, Princess Verena, as a travelling goodwill ambassador of the Imperial Family. It was through her that Kasnyia has established relations with Libya. As such, there had been much contact between her and the fetching Prince Hamza. Though there had been plans to ask for a wedding months ago, the sudden death of her father postponed the plans. But now it was felt that Kasnyia needed something to cheer about, and so Kristophe Xavier, in his position as head of household, even if not yet the nation, had given his private okay to the Libyans to publically announce His Highness's request for Seraphina's hand. It had been an amusing morning, once the announcement was made. Fi (as she was called by the family) had always been a bit of a tomboy, so it surprised and amused him to see her shy and blushing at the announcement. "So Fi darling, what should be the response?" the Emperor-in-waiting asked his sister. She merely stuck out her tongue. "Say yes of course, fool of a brother." "Y'know, I could have you arrested for calling me a fool..." he said with a hearty laugh. He was kidding of course, but that was his way with her. "I'd call you an even bigger fool then." "One would have to be a fool to have a sister like you." And so the banter went as he personally wrote back his response, which would be made public.
It was followed by the more personal letter, which would also be distributed to the public.

Hamza was walking down the hallway that connected the Ministry of Defense to the Executive Palace to tell his father of the news. As he reached the building and rode the elevator the first sight he saw was a banner with the words "Happy Engagment Little Brother Love Khalifa" which made him blush a little bit. He reached his father personal library where his father, and his brothers were. "Hello father as you probabely found out from my idiotic brother Khalifa I'm happy to say that Princess Seraphina has accepted my proposal" Hamza saided before glaring at Khalifa which was greeted by a heart laugh before Hamza got an evil smile. Sharyan knew where this was going and moved out of the way. The war had started between his sons which was a tradition for the sons to celebrity a engagment with so arab funny. " My sons if you are going to have a wrestling match do outside at the gym in the Defense Building" Sharyan ordered his sons which was greeted by a race and after a few hour a statement was released.

Sharyan had tolded his Sister to release a statement about the wedding to update the people about it in the afternoon. Hamza and Seraphine had decided to honor apart of both wedding ceremonies to cover the two faiths. They hadn't decided where it would take palce but they narrowed it down to either the Interfaith Center in the Capital, one of the Holy Mosques, at one of the Religious Ministry's Faith Center, or a mix of the options. Princess Seraphine had visited the Republic for a few days to meet him on a more informal level as her future father in-law. Edited by BenC, Mar 26 2014, 04:53 PM.

The wedding between Princess Seraphina and Prince Hamza will be held on the 18th after the Friday prayer at the Holy Mosque for the couple to preform the Islamic part of the weddingbefore going to the Interfaith center to finiah the wedding by carrying out the Catholic beliefs. The newly weds will then will jointheir family on the balcony so Sharyan can present the couple to the people before heading to the Royal Palace to have a reception with the guest and families. Prince Hamza has stated that his brother Khalifa will be his best man along with his brothers. |

The guests and the families of the couple arrived in the capital for the wedding which would take tomorrow at the Holy Mosque in the capital then at Interfaith center. The ceremony will be performed by a Catholic Priest and Grand Ayatollah-Imam who will carry out the two parts of the wedding. After the ceremony is done the guests, families, and couple will go to the Royal Palace to be announced to the people than greet the guests at the reception. After this the couple will leave to a have a honeymoon aboard before they return to the Republic so the Princess Seraphina can learn about the royal customs of the Royal family which include attending a meeting of the Tribal Council. |

OOC: Sorry guys about not updating this on the 18th IC: The first part of the royal wedding took place at the Niufae Mosque where the Islamic customs and traditions would take place performed by the Grand Ayatollah-Imam just after noon so the Muslims could perform their Jummah prayers which Hamza performed next to his father on his right side instead of on the other side of his older brother. After the prayers were done the wedding ceremony began with the Muslims and Catholic seating side by side to show that unity between the two religions. Prince Hamza waited at the alter with his brother Khalifa as the best man along with his two brothers and brothers in-law and on the other side was his soon to be wife's bride's maidens. Hamza had his turn when Seraphina was escorted in by her brother the Emperor Kristophe Xavier II of Kasnyia as the tradition stated until she reached the alter when he turned he saw his future wife in a beautiful traditional dress as the customs of their religion stated. After this the Grand Ayatollah-Imam started the Islamic poration of the ceremony by reading from the Holy Quran about marriage before saying the words which would bond the two young adults to each other "Do you Prince Hamza bin Qabiaoese take Princess Seraphina as your lawfully wedded wife who shall bonded in holy matrimony by our Lord Allah the most merciful and most gracious?" "I do" Hamza responded with a smile and the clergy turned to Serphina "Do you Princess Seraphina of Kasnyia take Prince Hamza as your lawfully wedded house who you shall be married to in holy matrimony by our Lord Allah the most merciful and most gracious?" "I do" Seraphina responded as she turned to Hamza and had a loving smile. The Grand Ayatollah-Imam then finished the Islamic wedding customs "Then by our joint belief in the one true god i proclaim you Husband and Wife by the Islamic traditions and customs. Hamza you may kiss the bride and present your gift which he did before give his wife a beautiful necklace with their initials on it before the two prepared for the other part of their wedding at the Interfaith Center. |
