Sunmingis wins elections
FL leader wins elections with 58% of the votes.

Yun Sun Ming has been elected the first president of the Republic after winning against Kwong Cheung with 58 against 42 percent. Sun Ming is to be inaugurated on Wednesday, after which he will begin his tenure of four years in the Golden House.

The Guangzhou native won in his home state of Guangdong, as well as in Hunan, Hubei and Jianxi. Though his opponent Cheung also won in three states, namely Hainan, Guanxi and his native Fujian, the greater number of electors in the Sun Ming-voting states tipped the balance in his favour.

After the news was made public, supporters celebrated in the streets of all major cities. Cheung congratulated his opponent and wished him the very best.

Sun Ming is expected to further organise the Republic, create diplomatical ties with the neigbouring states and endorse free-market policies during his presidency.
