OOC: I thought about having Wahl storm out at the end of the last speech - I guess you beat me to it. Just to clarify, is Leeb just leaving this discussion, or is he leaving ICON?

OOC: You know what they say about great minds. I envision Leeb just leaving the discussion, but it could possibly lead to something greater in the future

OOC: Should be interesting - I'm happy to see that we have some active international politics.

With that last statement von Leeb and the other delegates of the East German delegation gathered their things and proceeded to exit the assembly hall. The exodus of the Austrians caused quite a stir in the assembly room as multiple delegates of many nations began arguing among one another. On his way up the stairs, von Leeb gave a look of dissatisfaction to the Porcuian ambassador whilst shaking the man's hand.

Head Representative Iunius Postumius nodded and gave a small smile as he shook the hand of Von Leeb. It had become clear to those of the assembly that the delegates differed so much that an accord was beyond either of them. Blows had become increasingly likely, but the Porcuians were glad to see at least one of the delegates had their wits about them enough to leave.

Iunius Postumius was well aware of his government's recent meetings with both the East Germans and the Baltic Germans and while he was more idealistic than his superiors desired (specifically Atratinus) he understood his place and carried out the orders of the curule magistrates and Parliament as a whole to the best of his abilities.

Therefore, the Porcuian Head Representative waited patiently until he was recognized by the Speaker, whispering orders to those seated beside him in the meantime. The Porcuian delegation already had their papers in order by the time Iunius Postumius rose to speak.

"Perhaps unsurprisingly, but a shame nonetheless, it appears that this Honorable Assembly is not prepared to hear the sound reason outlined by the respected delegate from the East German Federation and act accordingly. My government's position is clear and we elect to stand by our colleagues from Marslava and the East German Federation. I hope that other delegates and representatives will see the injustice of the CMESS's actions in Central Anatolia in due time.

As of this moment, all maritime vessels of the Confederacy of Middle East Socialist States, both military and merchant, are barred from passing through the Strait of Gibraltar."

The Porcuians stood up from their seats and exited from their row in an organized fashion, with Iunius Postumius the last to leave.

"You see!" The Confederate delegate yelled as soon as the embargo was announced. "It is just as I said! Porcu wants nothing more than to control Mediterranean trade!" His look changed to a more serious expression. "Confederate merchant vessels will be guarded, and any attempt to stop the vessels will be considered an act of war."

Wahl shrugged.

"Coercive measures. It is all as I said. There is only one struggle, and all these diplomatic calls for referendums are just war for dominance waged by other methods. I do not expect that this affair is over, but I do not think this discussion serves any more purpose."

At that, Wahl and his entourage left the chamber.

"It's a ludicrous claim anyway," Hakar said with a smirk that betrayed his battle to control his amusement. "Porcu has no territory in Gibraltar so it has as much claim of authority there as does CMESS. Such blatant imperialism to coerce Middle Eastern nations will not go ignored by my government, I promise the CMESS delegation."

Though he'd been silent since giving the Republic his suppor, Alexander Keikura of the Federation made sure to each the Porcuian representative before leaving the assembly hall. "Though it doesn't look good, I assure you the Federation will give the Republic its support if need be" said the Federation Representative.

Ambassador Vladimir Moskvitin just shook his head and smiled as he left the assembly hall. In the end he found it quite comical, the whole process really. The Porcu had called for a referendum, expected. The Scythirians, the great saviors of the Muslim bastion of hell...the Middle East, denied them of such and the rest of the world that cared to comment fell into either camp or none at all. Russia didn't care about what the CMESS did in Anatolia but it was bothered by the Scythirians throwing their weight around yet again. "Perhaps we'll have us a grand ole war" the Ambassador commented to his aide in seclusion. "If so, my money is on the Sythirians.....though, a war in that region of the world could be profitable for Russia."
