Supporting the Marslavan and Arvan ground forces pushing into the Persian Wilds was the Whaladyan National Airforce. In accordance with their allies, the WNAF would provide strict air cover over the attacking ground forces whilst also deploying AWAC's and manned reconnaissance aircraft to monitor enemy movements. Additionally, because Al Whaladyan landing strips were in such close proximity to the zone of operation, the other coalition aircraft were permitted to land, refuel and re-arm in Whaladyan territory. Because the WNAF made up the largest air contingent in the TNT attack force (approx. 80%) most actions regarding resupply, recon, and air strikes were solely on Whaladyan shoulders. All in all, 250 Jets (MiG-25's and MiG-29's), 50 Attack and Transport Helicopters (Mil M24's), and 10 Transport planes were mobilized and ready for various tasks. Additionally, air-borne infantry were put on standby in reserve.

The WNAF would rely on their allies on the ground to paint targets for the attack aircraft, as well as the outlining of zones for supply drops. The man in charge of Whaladyan air operations was Air Marshal Sahkir Nesib, a veteran of 30 years, and graduate of a pristine flight academy. Because the WNAF had yet to involve itself in a serious air campaign, the Whaladyan Military Leadership was eager for a positive show of strength and general competence.

The WNAF were not the only Whaladyan service men to be mobilized for the operation, and a small contingent of 5,000 special forces of the Whaladyan Strike Force were also equipped for the fight. They would be accompanied by an armored division and artillery battalion from the Whaladyan National Army. This small force would depart from Whaladyan Iraq, and be responsible for the securing of the Northeastern flank. They were commanded by the stern and experienced, Brigadier General Takir Al-Khalid.

All Whaladyan personnel would be advised and informed by approximately 95 GFID, in 24 recon teams, positioned throughout the Persian Wilds. They eagerly awaited the news from they're allies on their first push into enemy held territory.

United Libyan Arab Republic ground forces and special forces started to arrive at Al Whaladya airstripe on C-130 Hercules along with other equipment for the T.R.T operation. The forces would act as reserves to be sent to location when need they were under the command of General Shadullahu and the airplanes were under the command of Colonel Aduliva bin shaifa. Along with the C-130s there were modified Blackhawk helicopters and Comanche-Mohawk attack-helicopters which help the WNAF in air operation.

Along with the group to arrive at Sinop by jet were ASA's commanding officers and General Morain Dhaken a commander of the ASA's T.R.T. operatives in Persian Storm. He had come to discuss the collaboration between Arv, the Libyan Republic and Marslava.

Official Statement

The Government of Semitistan advises that all preparations for this military operation be postponed for the time being. It has observed that, within the Persian Wilds, a possible new government is forming by the name of "Dahkeid".

It is a good course of action to attempt to establish communications with this new government, and see what can be done

OOC: Operation Persian Storm is in the area where Dahkeid is now. Unless I am mistaken.

EDIT: Dahkeid would like to take part in this and he has some important announcements considering his nation will be the Persian Wilds themselves. So let us wait for hi response

Official Statement from his Honor of State Nouriel Lachmann

"The Dahkedi government approves of any and all military actions which would extiniguish Scythirian extremists and Eertz Zion separatists from the Eastern Provinces of our nation".

"Due to the large number of international troops in the area Dahkeid will not participate in any military action against Scythirian extremists or Eertz Zion separatist forces in the area. This is primarily to reduce the possibility of 'friendly fire' incidents with international forces and to preserve what assembalance of a military our nation currently fields".

"We will continue to indefinitely allow, for the time being, the right of passage to any Semitistani or Aghaba aircraft over our territory; though they may not land at any airport within our borders, specifically Baghdad International Airport. Any rotary or fixed wing aircraft which attempts to land at any Dahkedi airport without a flight plan approved by our government will be considered a hostile and dealt with accordingly".

"Furthermore no ground troops will be granted right of passage into our territory west of the Eastern Provinces".

As the teleprompter switched off and the T.V. camera went dark Nouriel wondered how well their statement would be received. In truth he knew that many, including those in the Dahkedi government, were still extremely paranoid and afraid of Scrythirian and Eertz Zion terrorists.

These days it was like a terrorist was hiding under every bed and in every closet. As if at any moment you'd be riding on the bus on your way to work and suddenly shrapnel, glass, and death would be all around you. No, worse than that. It was as if everyone was waiting for the ball to drop. Things had been so quiet and so 'normal' that everyday citizens were having trouble adjusting. It had created a feeling of Xenophobia and Uneasyness that he didn't care for. The unspoken thought on everyone's mind seemed to be, 'Is this it, are we finally free'? His thoughts drifted to the bombing of Haifaa Nour Women's University only 4 short years ago. So many young people dead. No hope of a future. And in that moment he understand the apprehension fully.

The men from DCTN (Dahkeid Televised News Corporation) packed up their gear leisurely and then left the room quietly, leaving Lachmann alone with his thoughts and his bitterness.

Was the government right to be so afraid? He turned and looked out the large ceiling height windows made of polycarbonate glass. Concordia park looked as beautiful as ever from this office. in truth that's why he wanted to speak from here. In fact he could see all the way to Baath Square, 'what a clear day' he thought, 'except for the traffic'.

The hustle and bustle of Baghdad since the reconstruction wasn't really his cup of tea. He enjoyed it outside the city, although the culture was definitely appealing.

He glanced at his watch, '9:52am'.

Realizing he was going to be late for a meeting with the president and Jamil he shook off his apprehensive worries as best he could and left.

T.R.T Command wishes to thank the nation and people of Dahkeid for their admirable acceptance of regional aide and permission to continue Operation Persian Storm. We hope to return this trust, and wish to assure the Dahkedi Government that no T.R.T personnel or coalition aircraft will breach areas designated as "off-limits". Instead, we will inform the Dahkedi military of all insurgent forces which enter these zones.

Furthermore, we urge the people within the Eastern Provinces to consider the laws of safety outlined in our previous address, but residents are now subject to Dahkedi laws, and the T.R.T will not interfere with these regulations. Operation Persian Storm shall commence as previously planned.

Lastly, the Trans-Regional Task Force benefits from expanded membership, and we strongly urge the government of Dahkeid to consider sending a delegation to the next T.R.T conference in Sinop.

We hope for the safety of residents and the success of the mission.

-TRT Military Command, Dayr-az-Zawr

OOC: Im waiting for a post from Alberto, Arv, or Semitistan to start this operation because Whaladyan forces are mostly aircraft and are therefore dependent on ground targets lol. Whenever you guys are ready, TRT Command is a go.

Activity sped up in the desert, thanks to two different events. First of all the dissaffected desert people had joined up to form a new identity, Dahkeid, whose very little was known. Luckily, the intentions of Dakheid seemed to be friendly as it offered support to the T.R.T. The second event was the abrupt start of hostilities as the local war lords attempted to break the encircling forces.

The Chasseurs were warned of the imminent attack by one of Zivkovic's bedouins, who had been following the movements of the enely columns. The Chasseurs were among the best snipers of Europe, trained in irregular warfare, and they had carefully chosen to deploy on a terrain which gacve little cover to any attacker. However, the surface they protected was extremely large with 500 men deployed over few kilometers. If this thin line was to be overran, Eretz Zion and its allies would be able to escape and re-organize somewhere else. In other words, the whole T.R.T operation would be frustrated. Punctually, a first wave of armed militants assaulted thethin Marslavan line. They were repelled with extremely heavy losses, as the Chasseurs did rarely miss. At the same time, a lonely Marslavan mortar battery had been warned of the attack and had started to bomb the enemy. Few minutes later the first Marslavan Albatros ground attack planes showed up to harrass the retreating forces. The rag tag militias of the war lords were decimated and disbanded, leaving only the battle hardened men of Eretz Zion to fight the battle. The men who remained were extremely resolute and would not be stopped by few snipers. Those who remained, were fighting for an idea whose survival depended on the victory on this battlefield.

On the other side of the Persian Wilds, the main body of the Marslavan forces were warned of the offensive by Eretz Zion. The armoured troops moved out of their bases, while the gunships flew over their heads toward the battle field. The armoured troops advanced on the sands and moved toward the few inhabited localities. There, some local war lords put up a stubborn resistance. The bedouins of Zivkovic moved to assault those localities while the armoured troops continued their advance in the desert. If they managed to reach the other battlefield on time, the men of Eretz Zion would find themselves encircled and they would be destroyed - once for all.

As Eretz-Zion was beginning its offensive against Marslava the Main force of ASA's soldiers along with their armored divisions struck in to the middle of Dahkaids eastern province effectively cutting the area in half. After his forces at secured the area the split into two divisions of 10000 and began to march towards the both the Marslaven line and down along the desert.

Company Kata'ib Sayeret immediately mobilised in the heavily armoured personnel carriers and jeeps, with one recon-helicopter scouting ahead.

Using Dahkeid Intelligence they slowly encircled the military compound of Kifri. With Marslava and the ASA busy with Eretz-Zion, they wanted to stop this Scythirian terror group before it caused too much trouble.

Advancing slowly in a line of armour and infantry with constant reconnaissance, they started reporting to Whaladyan Air Forces and reporting back to T.R.T. command so that they can strike with air before going in for a small yet swift ground offensive.

From Khanaqin military base in Dahkeid the explosive percussions of tank and gun fire reverberated throughout the air only a kilometer or so away. Just over the improvised border which marked the edge of the skirmish zone.

Corporal Kyle Reznik peered through his binoculars and saw a few armored divisions with the markings of A.S.A. moving towards the southeast, then without warning an explosion ripped through the air sending sand and dirt soaring into the sky, obscuring a few of the vehicles from his vision. When the smoke cleared it was clear that one of the tanks had been severely crippled. A fire blazed near it's left side making it difficult to see, but he could make out it's mangled gun turret. The rest of the armored vehicles continued their advance without so much as a pause.

Kyle adjusted his binoculars and saw a helicopter hovering nearby. A huge turret which obviously wasn't designed for such a craft stuck out of it's side like a thorn. Presumably it had been responsible for the tank's demise. It moved forward suddenly as a jet of white smoke streaked past and arched back towards it, a rocket or missile detonated just short of the tail and caused the craft to spiral like a top and disappear behind a sand dune, a red orange plume confirming it's demise.

Reznik was slightly frustrated with the whole situation but he wasn't about to get a hot head. He understood his superior's decision not to get involved but at the same time he had trained for years and was eager to put his skills to the test.

A few sonic booms made the guard tower shake confirming the entrance of a few jets into the area.

"Corporal report!", a voice shouted clearly from below, he recognized the Master Sergeant's voice immediately.

"All clear, sir!", although to be honest Reznik had not been paying attention. He refocused his binoculars. A few large red flags in a line waving in the breeze, marked the border. He saw a few of their vehicles cruising along the improvised road at a quick clip but nothing too exciting. He refocused on a concrete helicopter pad near there and saw a few of the men laughing and talking excitedly.

"Idiots", he thought knowing full well a stray missile or a rebel vehicle could come over the border without warning and kill them all.

Meanwhile, as the battle raged across the Dahkedi Eastern Provinces, the Whaladyan National Air force was working at full strength. As soon as the first targets were outlined by soldiers of the ASA's cross divide maneuver, Whaladyan MiG-29s began the task of strafing the enemy formations, severely disorienting them and allowing the ASA to mop them up quickly. When the Arvian armor met staunch anti-tank opposition, the MiG-29s switched to firing heavier ordinance at the defensive structures, whilst also deploying smoke screens to cover their allies advance. The scene was strangely majestic, as multiple aircraft rocketed toward the ground, emptied their magazines of heavy machineguns/cannons, and then quickly came around for another pass. The Coalition was lucky, in that it enjoyed complete air superiority and could harass the enemy mostly unmolested.

The call for air support from the members of Company Kata'ib Sayeret was quickly answered by a tremendous show of force. Above the heads of the Semitistani operatives, the roar of the jet engines were easily heard and released a sense of anticipation for the men on the ground. Four MiG-27s converged at breakneck speed, and descended on the terrorist stronghold to release their heavy ordinance which created a gigantic explosion. The ground shook, as enemy personnel were thrown into the air like rag dolls, and defensive structures crumbled like pastries. Soon after the MiGs, a small group of attack helicopters flew assault runs over the compound to engage any troops remaining outside, and to neutralize any enemy anti-tank installations. Although successful, one of the helicopters was targeted and hit by an AA emplacement, which blasted the Whaladyan aircraft from the sky. The remaining helicopters annihilated the remaining AA Gun, and radioed to Kata'ib Sayeret that their path was clear.

The Whaladyan Strike Force was mobilized from Northern Iraq and proceeded to enter the combat zone behind advancing Marslavan forces. The small force's artillery quickly set up and began shelling the personnel still engaging the Marslavan Chasseurs, whilst the armored brigade approached from the rear to encircle the Eretz-Zion who remained.

The Semitistani company advanced slowly, mopping up the remaining forces, most of whom were in shock. A few seasoned groups in the compound and around the air field showed a little more resistance, but with little to no heavy weapons left, the APCs made short work of them.

The next mission was securing the compound. The aviation fuel and gasoline storage tankers blew up in the air assault and the compound was covered in thick black smoke. The S.S.4 went in with as much care as possible, using thermal imaging from the recon helicopter to help pinpoint and take out targets that were left behind. No doubt, many combatants must have entered the few buildings that remained standing, or partially standing.

As they entered the buildings into a close quarters combat zone, five injuries and one death was sustained, and that is a good record for a special forces company.

After that was done they secured the air field and made sure the underground gas line was not damaged.

The next stop would be the village of Kifri itself. As the helicopter went to scout ahead they discovered something terrible.

Lieutenant Ayalon, who was heading the force on the ground, expected the village to be more or less peaceful with the creation of the Dahkeidi government and it's support of the T.R.T.

But the helicopter pilot said something else.

"Sir, sir. I think a massacre took place in the village of Kifri. It might very well be the same forces we fought here, over!"

"Tell me what you can see, exactly what you can see..." Lieutenant Ayalon said coldly.

"There are rows of bodies, thermal readings show little to no heat and...wait. Some men are dragging out a family out of their home....sir, they lined the family up and killed them all! Shot them!"

"Are these images being transmitted back to base?"

"Yes sir"

The Semitistanis wasted no time in moving out towards the village. The Lieutenant knew that his own eyes will pick up horrors worse than that of thermal imaging.

---

Village of Kifri

Plumes of smoke lined the skyline as they approached the village. Some of it was burning, but most of the buildings were intact. The reconnaisance again showed militias taking up defensive positions in and around buildings. The Semitistani forces were only 400 meters away.

Using the hills as cover, snipers started targeting any fighters with heavy weapons. When they made sure no heavy weapons remained the APCs advanced, peppering the buildings with high calliber rounds. Some troops flanked the village as this was happening, staying in cover. Lieutenant Ayalon, who was flanking the village with his men saw a trail of white smoke as an anti tank missile flew from the village and hit one of the BTR-T APCs directly, disabling it. The other APCs retreated and infantry ran up the hill to take their place, providing cover fire with heavy machine guns as the soldiers got out. One of the crew members was killed by a well placed shot to the head. There were also snipers.

The plan did not change, the soldiers continued on advancing slowly, stopping every few minutes to make sure they were not spotted. When they got close enough they started noting targets in their head. Ayalon, right in the thick of it, gave the order.

"Go, go, go!"

They opened fire, instantly killing ten militias that were visible and then closed the remaining distance quickly, using the buildings as cover. They started the close quarters combat phase moving from house to house. Building to building. The reconnaisance helicopter reported the militia's defensive line breaking up into a panic, and the building from which the undetected anti tank missile was fired was cleared. The four remaining APCs advancing, kicking up dust and taking out targets who were cornered in between the troops in the village proper and the advancing forces. This shock and awe tactic made short work of everyone else.

As Ayalon advanced towards the center of the now cleared village, the helicopter gave a warning. Lining the main court yard where a bustling market would be were entire families who were killed. Some were mutilated, there was evidence of rape and most were killed with point blank shots to the head. There were hundreds of them. But something was not right.

And that was when the bodies exploded.

Ayalon was thrown off his feet, and a couple of his soldiers died in the explosion. The bodies were booby trapped by wired explosives in a last ditch effort to cause as much damage as possible. But Ayalon insisted on pushing forward and finishing off the mission.

He lost good men today and that was all the more reason he had to carry on fighting.

The sun began settling beyond the border and many halogen lamps flickered on, flooding Khanaqin base in an unforgiving and intrusive bath of white light.

Corporal Reznik was still in the Eastern guard tower, doing his best to make it appear as if he was actually being useful. His legs were crying out to him in pain after having been on duty for more than 11 hours. He couldn't see much in the dwindling light and he knew Alexandrov had their assigned pair of night vision binoculars.

The whir of chopper blades could be heard and several of them seen. He assumed they were rescue and support helicopters, as the desert landscape was littered with debris engulfed in flames.

Damien Alexandrov popped up behind him, speaking with a slight Russian accent, or at least Reznik thought it was Russian, "I think it's time for you to get some sleep my friend".

Reznik and him shared a bunk in barracks 3. Kyle didn't really say anything, he just kind of nodded absently as Alexandrov approached the edge of the tower with their night vision binoculars.

Kyle climbed down the tower ladder slowly making sure he didn't lose his grip. When he reached the bottom he felt a weight lift off his shoulders. He peered through the rungs at the large concrete wall relieved not to be able to see the carnage anymore.

The base had a bit of activity but overall it wasn't too crazy. A few men jumped out of a patrol vehicle as a few others climbed in. Two privates exchanged a conversation, something about a report or some such thing.

Kyle rounded a corner near the northwest wall where barracks 3 was located. He walked in and saw Private Sarkis tying his combat boots at the edge of his bunk, Reznik sat on the adjacent bed.

"See anything today?", Sarkis seemed apprehensive, wanting reassurance from a man higher up in the ranks.

"Sarkis", sighed Reznik, "You can't be worrying so much, it's stressing me out", he laughed, "Relax, We haven't fired a single bullet". He slapped him on the shoulder in reassurance.

Kyle leaned back in his bunk his mind a complete blank, and sleep overtook him.

OCC: I felt like something not so exciting would round out the story a bit. Sorry it's dry I'm tierd today :P

The rebel forces were being surrounded and pressed in a more and more limited area by the forces of the T.R.T. On one hand, the best elements of Eretz Zion had failed to peirce the line held by the Marslavan chasseurs: the momentum of their offensive had not been exploited and had been broken by the arrival of reinforcements from Semitistan and Al Whaladya. On the other hand, the remaining T.R.T forces were advancing from the west of Dakheid to surround the last remnants of Eretz Zion.

The few villages scattered in the area were subkect to intense battles, while the surrounding dunes saw the movements of columns of AFVs and pickups hunting and escaping from each other. The Marslavan armoured troops, indeed, were quickly moving to cut any communication between different enemy units and intercept the retreating elements. However, they did not manage to find the leaders of Eretz Zion, even if, doubtlessly, they would not try to stay in the area any longer.

Reports reached the Marslavans that a battle was still raging in Kifri, where the rebels used any means to resist to the forces of Semitistan. Helicopters belonging to a regiment of paratroopers were sent to bomb the area and bring in some reinforcements. In the meantime, another group of helicopters was bound to what considered to be the oil refinery of Eretz Zion....

OOC: I assume that soon there will be a showdown between Eretz Zion's leaders and the coalition forces. Maybe someone should provide some description or rp from the side of Eretz Zion.

The Whaladyan Strike Force was completely set up and organized in full battle array when the call to fall back was ordered from military command. The small army's artillery and armor were already engaging Eretz-Zion forces and the order would be a frustrating command to obey. Unfortunately, the massive offensive perpetrated by the Kurdish Taliban in Whaladyan Iraq called for all forces to return home and save the region from a different form of terrorism. Whaladyan officers apologetically radioed to their fellow T.R.T allies that they would have to pull their forces back. Their allies were confused, but T.R.T ground forces were large enough without Whaladyan support and therefore no serious harm was done.

No matter what happened, the Whaladyan National Air force would continue its offensive and re-supply operations to the best of its abilities, but its strength would also be cut by %40. Brigadier General Takir Al-Khalid begrudgingly led his 5,000 man army of special forces and armored vehicles on the journey home.

With the withdraw of the Whaladyans Army from the battlefield the Libyan Army made up the most of the T.R.T. in the region. The Whaladyan Air Force would be continue it task of support along with the Libyan Air Force doing the same. With Libyan now the biggest General Shadullahu was now the T.R.T. commander of the operation. With his communication in his HQ back online he received a message from his Leader telling him to step up the attacks and be more aggressive. He also was order to start using the special forces to target the leaders of Eretz-Zion and other targets. The reserve of the Libyan Army was now taking over for the Whaladyans as they left. The next morning the airstrikes against the terrorist started and hit the major strong holds and bases. Shadullahu had order the air forces to hit them for a few days as the special forces planned the operations to capture or eliminated the leaders and targets.

The U.R.A Unit of the Republic approached the building that was rumored to be housing of one of the leaders of the Eretz-Zion by the name of who was fourth in command of the organization. As the unit approached the building gun fire opened up on the them from the hills surrounding the building and the unit took cover the bestest they could in the small depression on the hill. Capt. Bulivea turned to his communication officer "Lieutant get me air support. NNOOWWW!" "YES SIR" was heard from the rear. Bulivea turned to his other men "We have to hold on a little along men until AS comes in and until then only shot at what you can see. Each men pick a firing section and focus on that and cover each other's six got." a series of yes sir was heard as they took up defensive positions around the edge of the depression. For the next few mintues the twenty men unit fought back holding until sounds of approaching engines was heard before sounds of falling ordnances was hard followed by expolsions. The men look over the edge and saw explosion where the terrorist were firing from before advancing towards the house in hops of capturing what every was inside of it.

OOC: we should have the finally battle between the leadership of the Eretz-Zion and T.R.T Forces.
