-- Kasnyian News Service --

Hello and Welcome to KNS, your election headquarters! It has been a political bloodbath as scores of parties campaigned to get on the ballot to claim leadership to the Blue Coalition, the oldest and most powerful of the Parliament's alliances.

As usual, the Azure List has placed a bidder in their seemingly neverending effort to establish Baschism as the dominant Christian sect of Kasnyia. Reportedly, they are in talks with Purple parties for cross-alliance support, but it is unknown if that is likely.

In the meanwhile, with the recent election of a new Genesian Pope, and that too in Rome itself, has given a morale boost to the Cyan League in their own efforts for radical change. However, with more exposure and possibility of coming into the government has come more scrutiny and responsibility. Rivals have asked the Imperial Election Commission to demand reform to its party platform (which, among other things wants to abolish the monarchy for direct Papal rule as well as provide military support for the current Crusade) or face disqualification. The fight continues in the courts.

The Cerulean Coalition is also up for reelection, and tensions have risen between the CRF and GRIP as Cologne and Rome break out into all out war. They have recently announced they would give military support to Cologne if elected, even going so far as to reestablish the protectorate once enjoyed between Cologne and Kasnyia.

Wanting no part of it, the ruling CDL-N is demanding the other two parties be disqualified for trying to drag Kasnyia into foreign entanglements, and has vowed to continue the policy of Isolated Reconstruction. For its part, it is facing tremendous pressure to step down for its "failed xenophobic policies" by its traditional and chief rival, the Kasnyian National Congress, which is intent on reestablishing the Kasnyia of the pre-Gassel era. Both sides are seeking the support of the Cobalt League, once again in the position of Kingmaker. For its part, the PDC has remained mum, but there are rumors they will favor a different party entirely.

And finally, the newcomer of the bunch, the Midnight Movement lead by political rockstar Ludwig "Ludo" Schraff, the outgoing mayor of Bahen. Deemed a darkhorse at best and an empty personality cult at worst, no one is yet sure what to make of Ludo. We will see what the people think of him and everyone else as the polls open today.

OOC- This is gonna need a tiebreaker. Making new poll.

It seems three of the parties have one enough votes to go to a runoff. The darkhorse Ludo, the Baschists, and the kingmaker voices of the people are all going ahead. The rest of the parties will recieve representatives, but have now lost the chance to lead the Blues to victory.
