My fashion will soon come from whatever I can find at the Good Will.
We don't use expressions like "thrift store" or "Good Will" in the UK. But if I'm translating correctly, throw me in with the poor people.

Seriously, I have better things to spend my money on than clothes.

That said, most of my clothes are from the George discount isle... uh... the Wal-Mart discount isle. But I've got a few smart shirts from Oxfam... uh... Good Will. And the requisite number amount of of retro... uh... Vintage pieces required for a douchebag of my station. I've got a few Primarini... uh... Targèt bits from when I was a teenager. Are these cross culture jokes doing anything for you?

Of course I've got a uniform for work.

Amen.

Sadly, I will have to buy some nice suits in a few years if I ever wish to get my career rolling.

Why is that sad? If you have to wear nice clothes to advance in your career, it means that it is the kind of career where people wear nice clothes. That generally also means that people in that line of work are doing pretty well.

I would rather stick with my comfortable thrift store clothing. I have never seen the allure of expensive suits and nice clothing. Its a sacrifice I have to make though.

A suit also means the end of my beard.

There are some prices that are simply too high to pay. You tell me Jeff Bridges couldn't wear a suit as Obadiah Stane in Iron Man, and maybe I will give that statement some credence.

Fair enough.

However, you don't see too many government employees with beards. I'd have to have a damn good resume to get hired with a beard.

Abe Lincoln had a beard.
Tons of people had beards back then. Anyone who's ever watched a Civil War movie knows that! lol

Now James Shields, he had a mustache.
