Individual freedoms are perhaps loved in Zeelar more than any other land, and that country has the greatest devotion to those rights save maybe Esternax. On the other hand, our country also has the greatest devotion to the environment in the world. These two elements of our culture have been paramount since the beginning. Therefore, it is natural that these two ideals would sometimes not be as friendly to one another as everyone would like.

For years, it was difficult for what semblance of lawmakers our country has had to make environmental decrees if they seemed to infringe on personal rights. However, in the light that automotive technology has never been permitted in Zeelar, it seems only fair to state that having no standardization across the power grid is not protecting anyone's freedom, but only wasting precious resources.

If anything, it is detrimental to the average consumer that individuals have to purchase expensive adaptors to use appliances in one part of the country or another because of the differing voltages used in various areas. This only benefits the interests of foreign manufacturers of such equipment. Therefore, it shall be considered henceforth that Zeelar standardizes its grid around the most energy efficient option available. That is 120 volts of alternating current at 60 Hertz line frequency. A five percent tolerance is announced, so that line voltage shall be between 114-126 volts at all times. Type A and B plugs and outlets shall be used.

Labor from the newly organized Commonwealth Tesla energy firm, military interests and those who are repaying their debts to society in the post war era will be used to convert all lines over to the new system. With no need for substations or higher voltage transmission systems, power consumption measured in the grid losses can drop by nearly 40%. Some electronic items, like computers or those devices with voltages switches, will only need a new cord to be used with the new system. Some people are already living in districts with this distribution system, and many manufactures have agreed to switch out equipment and installations with new devices for little or no cost to consumer. Commonwealth Tesla and the Throne will change out older appliances as well, to further encourage power savings by using newer machinery. Everything is intended to be as good for the consumer as possible.

Moreover, because of a lack of standardization across airwaves, many users of the electromagnetic spectrum waste power by transmitting on top of each other. Anarchy, by definition, requires freedom of communication, and that has long been respected, but currently no one's voice can be heard. Therefore, transmissions bands outside of short waves shall be defined as such:

A long wave AM broadcast band at 148.5 kHz-283.5 kHz, and a medium wave one at 520 kHz-1710 kHz. Some Slavic nations have used 65-74 MHz for FM broadcasting, and 76-90 MHz has been used in the Orient. Moreover, 87.5-108 MHz has been the standard throughout most of the world. To make things simple, and provide reliable long range and short range broadcasting options, 65-108 MHz will be defined as the FM broadcast band. For fears of electromagnetic pollution, 50 kW power limits are now in effect, even for armed service stations. Moreover, international short wave broadcasters will be subject to the same caps. To save natural land, which is the most precious resource, antenna farms will be located in proximity, and strict electromagnetic field exposure limits will also be in effect. Mobile phone and WiFi technology has not been used in Zeelar, and will not be authorized. It is wasteful, and encourages toxic metal pollution as well as electrical waste. Commonwealth Tesla is constructing conventional data links.

This will save a great deal of power, and no one will ever have to be taken off the air any longer. Indeed, more voices will be heard. Indeed, with such a savings, more natural gas will now be bottled than ever. Only a single generation plant will still remain in existence, as a green way to provide burn off unlike the way so many other nations do it. To encourage world cooperation in environmental efforts, and make it so that electronics can be dealt around the world, the Throne and Commonwealth Tesla, as well as numerous charities, are offering to assist other nations, at no cost to convert over to these standards. Likewise, the same will be done in the numerous undefined territories that dot the African wilderness.
