Where are you again? I'm just glad it isn't snowing in Jersey - the snows last weekend left power outages that we still haven't fully dealt with. This has been a bad year for weather.

Nope.

But this is my first time really experiencing snow. You, coming from California, we don't really get any.

You'll get used to it, or at least I hope you will. If you get this excited every time it snows this winter, you're not going to have much energy to do anything else.

I love snow! Unfortunately, everyone around me doesn't, unless they're younger. They all say I'll come to hate it, but it hasn't happened yet, even when one of my earliest driving adventures included shoveling my car out and driving off to school at 6:30 AM.

Just stay dry! :D

I've barely slept, and my arm hurts from throwing snow. I've never been so tired.

Started snowing at 2 am last night. Right about the same time everyone was coming back from parties. Had a snowball fight with 50 or so other drunk/high kids.

I wish in snowed in Athens like it does in Cleveland. I know multiple people who have gotten disorderly conducts for snowball fights on Court Street!

Yeah I remember my first snow and -40 degree winter which was exciting at first as it was new and different from the slightly chilly, damp and rainy California winter that I knew before I moved to Canada. Now I just hope the snow does not come for a few more days. Its been threatening to arrive for the last week or so and apparently hit Calgary hard but just missed me somehow. And it has been at the end of every five day forecast for the last week or so. Hopefully it remains at the back of the five day forecast for a few more days. I don't want to have to break out my winter uniform yet. Now its time for me to end my procrastination and get back to my university papers.

I think the most interesting time of winter for me is during these odd times when it shows here on the Carolina coast. I mean you think of the beach as fun and sun, not snowmen. Its fun and its even more fun to watch at how unprepared we are for that kind of weather. During hurricanes, we locals laugh at the newbs as they rush to stories like food is going out of style knowing they have a refrigerator full of food that will just go bad if the power goes out, now they want to put MORE food in the house?

Of course when it snows, and we're talking less than an inch, the town shuts down like its the end of days. I guess its payback for picking on the yankees.

It does the same thing here. Anytime an inch of snow falls here, it's "OMG SNOWPOCALYPSE".

It was irritating when I was working in retail/grocery, but as that phase of my life will be over Friday, it'll probably just be funny. :P

In the winter, there's always snowmen on our beaches. When the water freezes over, like it very frequently does, you can even find snowmen out in the ocean.

Not many things make me happier then speeding past a local going 5 miles an hour in an inch of snow. I also laugh at the people who think they can drive out of control just because they have a big truck with 4-wheel drive. You can drive in snow, it just takes practice and increased concentration/caution.

The number of times I have seen a big 4 wheel drive truck or SUV sliding sideways through an intersection is laughable! I've posted my rul,es for driving on snow and ice before - don't stomp on the gas pedal, don't stomp on the break pedal, and don't turn the steering wheel. I have never lost control of my big front or rear wheel drive cars (well, except on purpose).

It still hasn't snowed in Toronto yet. Stereotype evaded -- for now.
