The Sacred Holy Empire of Scythirus finds the unproven allegations of Al Adib's former intelligence official to be ludicrous and remind the international community that he is no longer in charge of Al Adib's intelligence. Scythirus has not yet made any kind military maneuver against Al Adib or Aghaba yet, allowing time for the inspectors in Nekah to complete their work. Scythirian intelligence, on the other hand suspects the attack to be a possible staged event to gain sympathy from the international community at large or possibly the work of Al Adiban revolutionaries. - The Scythirian Foreign Ministry |

NEW DEVELOPMENTS After a thorough investigation, it has been released that the weapons and equipment used by the gunmen was Dominion-era, and thus obtained or supplied by a foreign entity. No claim of responsibility has yet been made, and officials have still not identified those responsible. The fact that Dominion-era weaponry was used has only fueled speculation that Scythirian intelligence was behind the attack. Government officials are torn, with some calling for restraint and further investigating, while others have been quick to blame Scythirus - taking the former intelligence chief's comments to heart, and even consulting him on a proper course of action. |

Dominion-era military arms are ubiquitous in the world, especially in the middle east. There could surely be other explanations. A third party should investigate. War should be avoided in the meantime. -Official Statement from Alexanderhaven. |

The Dissith has checked its contracts, and can find no current, ongoing, or past contracts in weapon funneling that would lead to these events. We have no further comment on the matter, but we are willing to open contractual negotiations for further investigation. |

Scythirus has neither funded or performed any operations within Al Adib. There would be no need for our nation's government to attempt something so covert when our military power is sufficient to snuff your entire nation from existence outright in the open. The Sacred Holy Empire will continue to await the results of the inspections in Nekah before taking any further action. - The Scythirian Foreign Ministry |

No official claim of accusation has been made towards Scythirus by the Al Adiban government, and thus the Sacred holy Empire's threats are unwarranted. If any connection are found linking Scythirus to the attack, we will pursue heavy sanctions against it, and request peacekeeping forces be posted along the border. - The Al Adib Commission for Foreign Affairs - |

Former Ulganian Sahndaq Hassan Dzerzhinsky was found. Lady Catherine had found the arms deal, but only just after a former Ulganian general had started a negotiation with Hassan. “Oh this is precious,” Lucretsia Crescent said several paces outside of the entrance to the receiving entrance to a large warehouse. Many of the men inside turned their heads in near unison. Lucretsia gave a trite smile. “You boys haven’t seen a lady like me in quite a while, have you?” she said, mostly ignoring the open mouths and dangling cigarettes as she strode to the middle of the group. They were not lost on her, but she did not glance at them and instead heaved a suitcase on top of the pile of papers being deliberated over by two men sitting in the middle of the room. “What is this?” one of them asked. “Well can’t you tell?” she asked. Before they could answer she continued. “It’s a hostile takeover boys. All of you weirdoes with the gaping jaws under this man’s employ,” she said, emphasizing the man the papers were facing away from, “you all work for me now. “Who says?” the same one asked. “That’s the second time you’ve questioned me. Not many people have the balls to do that. But since you asked, well,” she said, and a large squad of soldiers began to stream into the entryway behind her. “Well, my name isn’t important. In fact, it’s better if you don’t know, but here is what you, my Aghaban friend will be purchasing today,” she said, pulling a laptop from the case and opening it. The screen was filled with a litany of items with everything from product descriptions to prices to SKU numbers. “Call it a funeral registry, if you’d like. You need weaponry, and my network has access to a growing number of Dominion-era arms depots. We’re a go-to, so to say. All in one shopping.” The Aghaban turned to look her in the eye. “Then why do you carry and your men carry Ulganian arms?” She laughed. “You know, not many people really notice. My men may be proud of that sentiment, but you may notice something else,” she said, grabbing the Aghaban by the chops with one hand, and leaning in close. She jerked his head sideways. “They all have tits. Now, open your eyes. You might notice they all have tits and they’re aiming weapons at you. Go ahead, put in your information. I know you have a few million credits waiting to be transferred…” “Yes, about that, this was supposed to me MY deal,” the other dealer said. “Oh for Christ’s sake,” she said, pulling out her pistol and landing a shot in man’s forehead. He fell backwards and, for a moment, the sound of his collapse was the only to be heard. “Now, please, my good sir, fill out the form. I promise, my enterprise can deliver. Under one condition though, and only one,” she said. “What is that?” “You use them. All of them. Every bomb, every clip of ammunition, everything. Everything has a home, and unless you find a home for these, my network will shut you down wherever you go. I know how tricky the game you’re playing is.” The deal itself was brief. Lucretsia made sure not to leave her name behind. The other arms dealer’s body was disposed of, his assets (read: men and supply) were taken, and the Aghabans left to think about. She did leave a representative behind. “I’ll be staying with you, for a while,” she said. “My name’s Lady Catherine. You contact my mistress only through me.” Within the hour, Lucretsia was on a plane back to the Dissith Union. She knew just enough about the deal she took over that there would be fireworks all over the Caspian and many other places. She would have to lay low for a time, and parading around as an oligarch, that would be the perfect cover for now. |

Hassan Dzerzhinsky sat in a fold-out metal chair for a while, occasionally glancing at the silent representative his new friend had assigned to him. He knew it was of no use trying to get any information out of her - she and her friends were obviously no pushovers. "I suppose you'll be accompanying me back..." he said aloud, expecting no response. Dzerzhinsky rose and attempted to wipe his original contact's blood from his sleeve. "If you'll follow me," Hassan said to Lady Catherine, back turned, as he made his way out of the warehouse to two inconspicuous SUVs he and the rest of his team had arrived in. As soon as the other four Aghaban operatives saw Hassan exit accompanied by another figure they lept out of the vehicles and drew their weapons. "Put them away," Hassan ordered, "and say hello to our new friend, Lady Catherine." "We heard a shot fired! You gave no signal! What the hell was stopping us from aborting?!" one of his comrades shouted, clearly on edge. "Trust and experience, now get back in the driver's seat. Lady Catherine, if you would be so kind as to take a seat in the front car," Hassan motioned. The SUVs pulled out and made their way towards the team's current safe-house, 40 miles from their current position. Lady Catherine had been disarmed and made to travel alone with the driver in the front vehicle. Hassan explained what had happened first to his team, and then to a very displeased Intelligence Agency commander. This could be a great stoke of luck or a potentially devastating move. Either way, a very powerful figure had somehow gotten wind of and taken great interest in their operation. |

Dzerzhinsky arrived at the rendezvous point in the Western Aghaban Desert alone. His fellow operators were in the capital along with Lady Catherine, who he assumed was undergoing interrogation. Dzerzhinsky exited the Land Rover and made his way to the makeshift camp composed of tents, a firing range and a command bunker. Three well armed soldiers turned to acknowledge his arrival - members of the Special Warfare Division. Practicing on the firing range behind them were nine men in old, mismatched BDUs, equipped with a nice variety of Dominion-era firearms, courtesy of his new female benefactor. "You really picked a group of winners here," one of the SWD soldiers told Dzerzhinsky, extending his hand. "Sergeant Major Diab." "A pleasure, Sergeant Major. How are they looking, how are the arms?" Hassan asked, returning the greeting. "Well, sir, I frankly don't understand how any of these men were picked to undergo any sort of combat operation. None of them have any experience with weapons outside of hunting with their papas, though they are damn determined. The hardware you provided all seems to function properly, does its job just fine," Diab explained as his squad mates continued to instruct their recruits. "Good. I'll be staying with you for the night, supervise this whole thing, get some words in to these guys, then I'll leave you alone," Hassan informed the Sergeant Major. "Yes sir. Can I ask one thing though?" "Yes, Sergeant Major?" "Why has the burden of training these Al Adiban guys fallen on us, here? This is a bit out of the ordinary..." Diab asked. With a smirk, Hassan Dzerzhinsky replied: "This is in your country's vital interest, soldier. No more questions like that. Carry on." Edited by Aghaba, Mar 2 2012, 11:19 AM.
