The Springfield Baptist Ministry of Agriculture welcomes the COMPNOR Corporation to the competition. My God bless your biological endeavors. The competition welcomes all forms of biological enhancement and innovation ranging from conventional improvements to yield and hardiness to engineering new strains to produce valuable biochemicals used in the pharmaceutical or textile industry or even as fuel. Out-side-the-box thinking is highly encouraged. Edited by Springfield Baptist, Aug 22 2011, 02:22 AM.

A delegation of officials with the Federation of East African Nations will be entering the contest. The Federation shall employ the expertise of the Agriculture Secretariat. the Agency for Research and Planning, and the Agency for Technological and Environmental Assessment. Furthermore, they shall be instituting ideas from the Federation's top agricultural institutes of higher learning for this development project. Officials feel confident that even if they cannot complete the task on time and win the contest, just research will be invaluable to the Federation as it continues to improve the agricultural output of its member nations.

Arx Terra Laboratories, (a mysterious bio-engineering research organization headquartered in the lowest levels of the mostly ruined and crumbling artificial island-city of Esternarius II,) sent the Springfield Baptist Ministry of Agriculture a small box containing a dozen seeds. Delivered by one of Eastanarx's many competing private mail delivery services, the package arrived on the desk of the Agriculture Minister marked only with the small, unassuming logo of Arx Terra Labs: a stylized pi-symbol-esque arch rising out of a cartoonish depiction of the earth. |

The Springfield Baptist Ministry of Agriculture received it's first submission today from Arx Terra Laboratories of Esternarius II. One curious farmer on the ministry board took the liberty of planting three of the seeds in his garden. The ministry would like to request more information on the origin and purpose of these seeds from Arx Terra Labs before further action is taken. |

On behalf of the ARN, we at Inversiones Florpaila Inc. would like to enter with a soy bean we have recently begun to cultivate in Ciénaga. While the yield and composition of the bean is unaltered (and, indeed, the optimal growing conditions and the taste of the bean have not been improved), the bean is resistant to almost all known diseases. Crops can be grown organically with practically no routine use of pesticide, without fear of rot or viral infections destroying large quantities of the crop. Should infection take route in the crop, the bean is genetically engineered to be resistant to specifically formulated pesticides (that we are mass producing in Colombia and are available for general export). We at Florpaila are confident that The Springfield Baptist Ministry of Agriculture will receive many innovative entries and wish to express our interest in working with other competitors to build a "super-bean" that combines the various advantages of all the entries. Bean samples are enclosed. |
