Are there a set number of levels for this, or will it just end whenever you feel like ending it? It's fun.

I've got a rough idea for Five Levels.

As I tend to start things then lose interest, I think it's best we stick to Five. If you still want to play past five... well, we'll see if I'm still interested.

If someone else wants to run a game, they can of course.

But my levels get progressively harder. If level five doesn't completely burn you guys out then... well I'll be impressed. Level Five is hard. And long.

Level 4 is where the fun begins. Level 1 and Level 4 are my favorites.

What is Nag Games?

A (long) while back I started a story called "The Quest". The idea was to tell an epic story arc about a counter revolution in Nag Ehgoeg. The story itself is unimportant, what matters is the way I intended to tell the story. I had intended to post walls of text. I had intended for other players to post walls of text. I intended for two players to work out a story, then have one of them write it up (then, maybe, have the other player write it up from their point of view). I intended to have traditional "I post, you post" RP. And, most experimentally of all, I intended to run a text adventure game in the middle of it.

"The Quest", like all my ambitious projects, fizzled. But the idea remained.

Seeing as you guys are cool, and this was the best place for running a text adventure game I could think of, I reworked that RP idea into the first set of Nag Games.

So what is Nag Games?

Nag Games (for the moment) is simply a Text Adventure Game, a "Quest Thread" if you will. I present you, the forum, with a character and a situation you decide where to go from there.

There are several puzzles that I've thought of (and I've thought of multiple solutions for each level), but if you surprise me with something unexpected, then, generally, I'll run with it and make stuff up on the fly. This is meant to be a creative process.

Tell me more...

I ran the first level "An Unambitious Project" with little fanfare. A simple premise, just to see if there was enough interest in running this kind of game. It had a charming simplicity that I thought would be vaguely appealing. As there was a positive response, I decided to go ahead and run the full five levels I had planned.

I guarantee you guys won't want me to run another set of games like this once you beat level 5. If you get bored early, we can go to playing something a little simpler (like the first level). If someone else wants to run a game (either after or along side me, that's cool).

So where are we now?

At the time of putting this OOC thread up, I've got one person still playing, and we're up to level 4. Anyone can play, just go ahead and jump right in with your post.

Yeah, I'm bored of this.

Ok... why? If it's got overly complex *shrug* Well, I warned you. We can play simpler games if you want. You can run a simpler game if you want.

If you were only interested because of the novelty of this being something different... not much I can do about that.

If it's my crappy writing, well... step up and run your own game! :P
