You enter the corridor and crawl (past the TV and coffee table) up to the bench propping the door open. You pull the bench away and the door swings shut. The electronic panel on the wall next to the door makes a satisfied "beep" (and the green "unlocked" light is replaced with the red "locked" light). There is a soft hum as the electronic lock clicks back into place and a solid "clunk" as the mechanical A and B locks re-engage.

The door looks airtight.

****

You can see:

A door leading North (where poison gas was coming from);
A bench near the door;
A cloud of gas at the top of the room;
A coffee table near the East side of the room;
A notepad on the coffee table;
A large TV screen on the West wall;
A door that's been kicked off the hinges heading South back into the grey room you started in;
And a strip of fluorescent lights on the ceiling.

You can hear:

A low electronic humming noise.

You can taste:

Something bitter (moderate).

You can smell:

Something "smoky" and "mustardy" (moderate).

You can feel:

Moderate irritation of your eyes.

Your breathing is laboured.

OK, to be safe here, let's go turn those keys on the machine off, so we can stop the gass pumping. Then lets run those vent hoods a bit, and vet out the air.

I don't think you're thinking straight. Maybe you should take a moment to orientate yourself.

To get back to the computer room (for a start) you'd have to open the door you just closed.

Wait, are you saying I went backwards? I thought the gas was coming in the room from level 3!! OK, repeat level 3.

It is coming from the room in level three. You're in level two (after waking up back in level one). There are gas extractors in level three, and fume hoods downstairs in level four (not that the ones downstairs will do you any good).

There's a nice big door with a keypad lock and "A" and "B" locks between you and level three. You also dropped the "A" and "B" keys in the box in level three.

New Harumf - Achievement Unlocked: Blast it!

You shoot out the locks. Good thing this gas isn't readily combustible.

The door is no longer airtight. Or locked.

Run to the exhaust vents and start them, then run to the damn machine putting out the gas and turn off the keys.

You hold your breath and enter the Level 3 room. The large cylinder in the middle of the room is what's putting out the gas. Looks like the timer on that thing kept ticking even after you moved on to Level 4.

You set the vent to "Extract Gas", then head downstairs. Level 4 is clear of poison gas.

The keys are still in the computer, they've been turned back to the off position.

Whew! That was exciting! OK, so, could we return to the computer room on this level, and see if we have a working keyboard and monitor?

Done. You log on. You're presented with a Unix based operating system that you are vaguely familiar with.

What programs are running? What programs are available, but not running? Use "greb" command to discover these facts.

A program called "Monitor" is running. There are several other programs easily accessible: SmartCard Creator, GIMP imaging software, Chromium Web-browser.
