Toy Story 3; Have you seen it?

I saw Toy Story 3 today....it is one of the saddest movies but bittersweet. I believe those who were born in the late 80s and therefore saw Toy Story 1 as an 8-ish year old kid when that movie first came out, will most appreciate this entire culmination of the Toy Story arc since it chronologically reflects our lifespans. Nonetheless, anyone will be able to enjoy this movie, unless your heart is already blackened with hate rendering you immune to the pathos of the story. I also realized that actual, physical "toys" are increasingly being rendered obsolete by video games; perhaps our generation is one of the last to play with physical toys. There are lots of things to contemplate in this movie.

CLEVELAND ROCKS!
I thought it was amazing.

It was fairly sad, but not to the point where I couldn't enjoy the movie. It's a funny one for all ages which is always an impressive job by the producers IMO.

...

"Theeeeeeeeeeeeeee Clawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww"

Those guys were always my favorite part of every movie. ^^

Edit: I was pretty much in the prime age for the first 2 movies...

I'll definately try to see it in the next couple of weeks. I have fond memories of the first Toy Story, and I'd say it's the best thing to ever come out of Pixar.

The incredibles was an awfully pretty movie. I loved the "midcentury modern" style of the settings in that movie.

My niece and nephew are going to go see it, I'll try and sneak in with them...if not I'll rent it

An I wouldn't be so gloom and doom about physical toys going the way of the dinosaurs TC. I think there's enough sentimental value attacked to things that are tangible that humanity will continue to create toys. Especially given that video games continue to retain a negative view by many conservatives who believe they riot out the brain, lead to increases in childhood obesity, over active aggression, and anti-social behavior; and so forth. I could be very wrong of course and my grand children may play with virtual cowboys and barbie dolls but I hold out hope that this is not the case.

That is true. Helen Parr (Elastigirl) is a total MILF. :gnarkgnark:

I did not dig Helen Parr's steatopygia. However the Jet Age architecture and set pieces were amazing.
