It just occurred to me that I'll be seventeen in a month and two days and I still don't have my learner's permit.
Don't feel bad, I didn't get mine till I was seventeen. Ha Its about to expire in a couple months anyways.

Welcome to the forums. As the constant posting shows, many here are excited to count a female among their number. Be wary.

I waited something like eight months.

I've had my permit for 6 months already. I have an appointment to take the driving test on my birthday. I haven't crashed yet, but I have cost near a thousand dollars in damage to my parents cars so far. 'Course, I had to pay it, so my parents don't care much.

Huesca, we were this excited when Atticus joined. It's not often that we get a new member that talks to us, rather than posting a nation, making a request, and disappearing forevermore.

You seem displeased.
I was at work....

Thus the displeasure.

Any way was born in 1991 so either people on this forum are older than me, or younger.

I'd say not really, but it'd be obvious if I said so. But hey, I've more a right to be excited than some of us here (TC :P ).

Hope we all don't scare you away, Les.

Contrary to popular belief not everyone is attracted to underage girls.

Then again Leselier is 16, perfectly fine according to the Bible and the Declration of Independence.

I KID, I KID. Biznatches.

Refer to the first sentence

I'm fairly certain that I've lost track of who exactly the wimminfolk on this forum might be. I suppose that fact may help me in impartially discharging my moderatorial duties, but I still don't know how it happened.

Huh. I missed the anime discussion. (Chrono Crusade and 5CM Per Second make Clannad look like a walk in the part. Also Grave of the Fireflies is easily the most depressing anime ever. I had to watch the most upbeat shonens I could fine (TTGL) to feel better.) (Um. If you want anime recommendations look at my MyAnimeList profile. ... /otaku)

Yeah.

*Ahem* That's a redundantly tautological use of tautology, Quaon.

Map Tsar and Southern Gentleman

I'd sit and read what the past posts are about but knowing the crowd I will assume we've gotten off-topic so in a desperate and fleeting attempt to bring it all back into focus:

Welcome and, should you not get a response from the mapmaker of the African continent (Draxis) feel free to PM me, the unofficial map Tsar :king: , and I can fill your request for you. I say give it a week and then PM me :D

Welcome to the forums! And yes I did in fact respond to her request...

Now I just have to finish a presentation for tomorrow on Deliberative Democracy, go get some food and then I can handle the map! Because soon I shall have time on my hands.

Att, you are and forever will be "The New Guy." And you still are technically the new guy given that we have a new girl on the forums.

*Shoots Att with rock salt for his forgetting that minor detail*

It's physically impossible for you to have watched all of that. There's 22 episodes in the first and 23 in the second. Don't watch the movie, it's not that great and ruins the story for you.

I just finished. I'm so pissed. The last episode basically goes back and says "Oh, all that didn't happen. They were really happy the whole time". They ruined it. Absolutely ruined it. It's like that guy who says a joke, everyone laughs, and then he keeps going and ruins it, only a thousand times worse.

I got up to episode 3, then I quit.

You said you were crying by the end of the 2nd one, I have no idea how though.

Second series, I meant. There's Clannad, 22 episodes, and Clannad: After Story, 23 episodes. If I was referring to the second episode, then the people who made 45 episodes of this might've been lynched by crowds of bawling viewers.

I started crying around episode 16 of After Story. Don't just skip to it, 'cause it won't have the same effect if you haven't watched it all.

I think I'll pass. I had to force myself just to watch 3.

I also find it somewhat funny that I watched the episode that made me cry about a minute after watching a documentary on how society has screwed up human empathy and that we shouldn't care about anyone but our absolute, closest family.

What is this documentary called?

Does that mean you're another female? Or just that you're hoping for more female influence? Hehe.
LOL, nah, I'm male. It's cool to have girls here though because it gives a fresh perspective on things. And roughly half of my good friends are chicks, so yeah. :P

Oh, I have another question. What's the site's policy on minor use of foreign languages, if I include translations? I know some websites are English-only, which is why I ask.
Hi! How's it going?
Bonjour! Ça va?
¡Hola! ¿Cómo estás?
Hei! Hvordan har du det?

Foreign language is a hobby of mine. (Native English speaker, semi-advanced French, intermediate Spanish, and beginner Norwegian). I'll probably be incorporating it a little bit more in the near-ish future.

Do you actually speak Romani/Japanese? ^^

Nice to meet you/ encantado/ enchanté/ Hyggjeleg å møte deg.

:D Mine, too.

I'm a native English speaker, fluent Spanish speaker, intermediate Romani (The language isn't nationalized, so it's difficult to find places to learn), and beginner Japanese.

Thanks again for the welcomes, people.

And Tristan, I'm not sixteen yet. 15 1/2 as of today.

@NRE
How did you know we're off topic? Somewhat. I tend to have a difficult time staying on topic. I did get a reply from Draxis, however. :)
