(Thanks to my friend, Yadra, for the idea.)

Envision a graph.

On the x axis, put the amount of government, (i.e. the amount of institutionalized coercion.)

On the y axis, put the amount of total violence in society.

Okay, now let's draw a line for Utopian Anarchism. It would start at 0,0 and as the amount of institutionalized coercion in society increases, so would the amount of violence, where total state control would result in the maximum amount of violence.

Next, let's draw a line for the exact opposite philosophy: Utopian Statism. At 0 institutionalized coercion, you'd have the maximum amount of violence, and as you increased the amount of institutionalized coercion, it would decrease steadily until you reached total state control, where you'd have 0 violence.

Now, for market anarchism, (radical stateless libertarianism, agorism, voluntar(y)ism, etc.) At 0 on the x axis, you'd have an amount of violence greater than 0, and it would increase as you increased the amount of institutionalized coercion.

Minarchism, (and virtually every other political philosophy advocating the existence of some kind of limited, as opposed to unlimited, government,) on the other hand, predicts a high amount of violence at 0 on the x axis, which decreases until it reaches a certain point, then steadily increases after that.

Okay, you can stop envisioning the graph and just look at it now:

Red is Utopian Anarchism, Blue is Utopian Statism, Purple is Agorism, Green is Minarchism.

Envision a graph.

The X-axis represents how perfect a society is. The Y-axis represents an arbitrary ideology.

The blue line represents my chosen ideology. You'll note that under completely unrealistic circumstances, my dreamer's ideology is capable of achieving perfect results.

The red line represents the ideology I'm attacking.

The green line represents an ideology that acknowledges the world is flawed. You'll not that it (to a degree) corresponds with my perfect ideology.

Here is said graph.

Discuss.

lolwut?

Nice graph.

So basically, all political systems suck. In the pretty package of a graph. :(

Now now, someday I'll perpetuate my communitarian ideals into the anarchist fray.

...Screw democratic communitarianism.

Now if we flip your entire graph...

Ah, yes! Your nemesis appears!

A graph that's not made from real data is just a picture. Not saying it's a bad picture, but it's a picture nonetheless Perhaps you should consider becoming an abstract artist.

The point of the exercise is to select the function that you believe fits with real data. I think 95% of people (including you and me) would select the green function.

You can choose between the dictatorship you want, or the one you deserve.
