From Constantinople, the Emperor Constantine Monomachus, his family, and several of his closest associates, all travelled to see the coronation. The coronation of the western emperor was an important occasion, and the easterners needed to show solidarity in defense of the legacy of the Roman Empire and Christendom. |

Doge Domenico Contarini boarded a plane to the Holy Roman Empire, his neighbor to the north, and now west as well. He was personally excited for the German emperor, but was surprised when he had received an invitation. Though close neighbors, the two countries had never said much to each other. He had heard from aides that the Emperor of the Romans would be present as well. With the German monarch also declaring himself the Roman Emperor, he figured the conversation would be interesting. Almost a thousand years ago, Venice had frequently served as an intermediary to the rivaling emperors both claiming themselves as Roman. Hopefully their modern counterparts would need no such mediation. |

OOC: The Doge doesn't know this, but he assumes some agreement/compromise was made since the Byzantines never made a fuss. |

OOC: Hope I'm not late, doesn't look like I am  IC: Although there was still a great deal of trouble in Europe, especially in the east, Tsar Alexei Paulovich Romanov II found the time to come for this most glorious occasion. He brought with him his wife, the Tsaritsa, some of the more closer nobles within his own court, and what aides an staff were appropriate for such a trip. He personally never been to this beautiful country and saw it as a good reprieve from the royal tasks at home. |

Alban D'Espivant, President of the Pau Republic, arrived as representative of Trouillefou and the Union early that morning by rail. The Chairman was busy with an especially sensitive matter, and had been unable to arrive himself. The Union was apprehensive about the HRE, especially as it had so willingly turned towards warm relations with its rivals. |

Knowing the apprehension of the republic of Pau, Philip hastened to meet the president. "Mr. President," he said, "our diplomacy and your never spoken directly, perhaps, once the ceremony ended, could we talk to four eyes? I know that you fear for our foreign policy, but I just want to remind you that the empire, since the Government I, is seeking a policy amichevolecon all neighbors and practicing a policy of neutrality " Then it becomes less formal "I hope you enjoy dinner, we are the best German specialties! Coronation Day The celebration was opened with a "Te Deum" and the imperial anthem. In silence, a mixture of respect and admiration, had marched all the chiefs of the member states of the empire. They were all gone before the empty throne. This first reverence, obedience meant imperial institution even before the emperor. As elected representatives of the German people, Von Siedow, was the first to bow. Then came the religious ceremony itself. After the rites of initiation, and before communion, the pope sat down at the lectern, "Children," he said "what we are celebrating today is not simply a coronation, the man who laid the wreath, which was Charlemagne one will be the new Caesar of the West. This, "he says pointing to the delegates of foreign nations that sit in the front rows" does not mean that you are required to some formal act towards him, only that the heart of Europe has found a new stability that the historical responsibility " The crown of Charlemagne is shown to the public, while a choir sings a "Glory." "Here," the pope said, pouring oil on the sacred head of Philip on his knees before the altar, "I will anoint the Holy Roman Emperor." Once the crown is placed on his forehead the church explodes in jubilation. "Long live Philip, Emperor of the Romans!, Long Live Philip Caesar!" Germany had a new emperor and was again a united nation! |

Budapest The situation in Budapest, however, was still uncertain. Although Istavan fifth had been crowned in the land ruled a sense of inevitable defeat. Not so much for the steps of German fighters, but because now the link between the Habsburg dynasty and the Hungarian people had been broken. Still, the diet was unable to determine the unconditional surrender. The words were on the table but refused to recognize Petofi, assign even one thaler empire was political suicide. At a minimum would lead to civil war between military and civilian government. Monica knew that, for long hours she had spoken with General Marko. "This is a stunt," said Marko the Prince Istavn If taken away, the soldiers will stop follow Petofi, Jakob did not escape a flash in the eyes of the military, Marko was the commander in chief of the armed forces, if a civilian government fell, the military would undoubtedly have been guided by him. "Listen," she said to him "let's make a pact Marko. "A deal?" "It is a simple thing," she repeated, "you let us take away Stefano and then take your country for me personally." "I do not want the country, I want the good of Hungary," said Marko. "You give me the boy." "Well," Mark said after some long moments of reflection "we like you want, I already have a plan". |

ok, since I had no answers, and because, honestly, I was fed up with this story Hungary, closed the RP of "Renovatio Imperii" I know it's bad, but I have no ideas how it could really end. I will say that the young Istavan was saved and now lives with his mother in Tuscany and Hungary was reduced to smoking ruins of a loved having paid the last penny empire. Sorry but you need new equipment to run the story. |
