For the purposes of a thread I just started, I am RPing the Genesian clergy moving back to Rome. Could they perhaps negotiate something at the wedding to allow it to happen? Or if thats not necessary, for the Genesian Pope to give a gift for the Wedding as a way to smooth ties and whatnot?

The Genesian clergy moved back to Rome a while ago. There was a near war when the Irish and Venetians tried to sack it.

As I understand, TO and the Union, have reinforced Rome with a garrison (mine being the smallest, some 50 token troops).

Who currently controls the Genesian church?

Edit: Yeah, I had understood them to be in Rome. IIRC, I have an agreement to let the T.O. travel through my lands between their Italian enclave and Rome.

Leb did, but his nation just died.

And they already moved back? Eh, nevermind then, since that still works for my purposes, the move having taken place in the past. Forget I said anything.

If you're doing things with it, wouldn't you want to know its current status?

Christ.

Not everything is an assault on your person. Just trying to be helpful.

Never said or thought you were assulting my person. :(

I just thought you were mocking me after I had said "nevermind".

I apologize if I insulted you for thinking you were insulting me.

The Irish never tried to sack Rome. That said, I believe some Brotherhood knights were down there in support of the Roman Empire, hence it would be sensible to think Irish knights would want to help their Roman allies take back the ancient capital. Honestly I always found it silly they didn`t, but we had to be fair to the Genesian players.

I have a far more devious and interesting idea lined up for the future if the Genesian players will play along.

Anyway, let us see some more wedding arrivals :)

Just for clarification...Are we assuming that this happens at an earlier IC time when you first announced the wedding?

No, I am not assuming anything, mostly because I hardly have any concept of what is going on now.

The thread is called "Springtime," just so everyone knows. It does happen in Spring, but I am treating now as Spring...

Although the Swiss are greatly opposed to the Romans, their civility is greater and are willing to put aside their differences for this happy event.

Since there's no set time and for the sake of my sanity, I'm assuming this wedding occurred before my Empress Atia had the Romanov twins as well as before the nuclear attack on Russia and the conflict in Scandinavia. Just thought I'd put that out there.

Not sure why I didn't see this earlier, however these are some inaccuracy that I should clear up although, they very slight.

Techincally, the Pope of the Genesian Church has yet to officially return to Rome. Leb, who was going to control the Pope, was going to eventually move him back to Rome but sorta disappeared before the official word could be given IC wise. Technically both in the taking of Rome and the assault on Rome, the Pope wasn't actually there...he was in Leb's country in the North. My Prince Thomas...III I think?, was acting as a custodian of Rome until the Pope's return. Of course with Leb gone, I see no reason why we can't assume he's moved back to Rome.

As for whose controlling the Genesian Church, well that's a good question and I think we should start another threat to sort this whole business out  Which I think I'll do write now.
