So you will play as more of a German state, without the Magyars? |

Now it actually looks like a Holy Roman Empire. I'd say it's a good idea. |

I a fan of more blank spots on the map, I think some German lands should be left open for new players. |

We need a powerful German state. Seriously, that has made the forum lacking for me the entire time I've been on here. Please, do it Filo. For Deutschland! |

NRE just made the update. Somehow it makes the area that was open before seem larger and more spread out. |

Ugh. Our world is totally weird, so having no German powerhouse isn't too crazy. Besides The TO could be considered German. Also we have never really had a strong German state, we had Saxe-Corburg and Prussia. |

There have been strong German states in Europe, but just like everything else in the IC world, there seems to be a cycle. Until relatively recently, the Slavic states weren't really on the radar. Before NRE made Russia how it is now, the German states were the ones directong European affairs. The Konigsberg Treaty was the last remnant of that Germanocentric power. It'll come back eventually. No need to force it. Honestly, I'm more interested in Italy, since it hasn't been this active since CE was still on the forum. Even then, that kinda ended after Rome was nuked and operations were moved to Genesis. As for the topic of the thread, I say take both Germany AND Hungary. It isn't like we have a shortage of open land. |

I'd love to see activity in my neck of the woods. I hope to see some good RPs as I try to take over the entire peninsula. And hold on, Rome was nuked? When, by whom, and how much damage? If there's no historical value of Rome left other than the location, Venice would have absolutely no qualms about attempting to attack it. Of course, I'd take into consideration the Genesian repercussions, but Venice didn't fire of Rome that one time because of the history of the place. If there's no history left, Venice would shoot at it. |

Scythirus did it, It happened before I joined. RD would explain better. Anyway, Rome still is the spiritual center of the Genesians, just because it's land marks where destroyed, doesn't mean that it wasn't the seat of St. Peter, it still is. EDIT: I love how me and RD post the same thing at the same time. Edited by Menhad, May 14 2010, 06:01 PM.

Rome is the capital of the Catholic religion, and is a historical city in any and all cases. It was nuked by Scythirus in the First War of Succession: http://s3.zetaboards.com/nationstates/topic/222066/18/#new (See the last page or two of this thread). Genesis City was nuked at the same time. |

Given the scope of our RPs here, and the tendancy to push older events back, Rome's nuking might have been over a century ago. |
