OOC: Hmm, I don't think we've ever really tried that. Would you want a single currency, like the EU? |

It depends on how many nations would join this area. But we should start with small steps, like no duties within the area etc. |

OOC: I find it much easier to just simply state that you are trading with another nation(s). Since no one takes the time to calculate tarriffs and all of the details involved with trading, a free trade area seems like it may be too much work trying to define and figure out, rather than just taking the simple route of saying who your trading with, and getting their permission IC. However, should you find a reasonable way to create and use a Free Trade Area within RP, it woud be very interesting and something thatI would like to see. |

OOC: A total free trade area is typically difficult to build upon, but the Dissith, a massive trading company that answers to the Ulganian government is an entity that could help you out. If you would like to take advantage of the Dissith Company for your free trade area, shoot me a PM of some specifics that you'd like and I'll see what I can reasonably do. |

OOC- The Bank would also be interested, for obvious reasons. |

Gentlemen: The time has come to open a single market within the Middle East. All nations who wants to join are welcome! Here is my concept: Freedom of movement: Middle Eastern (ME) residents are given the right to enter any member state for up to three months with a valid passport or identity card. If the citizen does not have a travel document, the member state must afford them every facility in obtaining the documents. Under no circumstances can an entry or exit visa be required. There are some security limitations and public policy restrictions on extended stays by ME residents. For instance, a member state may require that persons register their presence in the country "within a reasonable and non-discriminatory period of time". In general, however, the burden of notification and justification lies with the state. Furthermore, no ME citizen may be declared permanently persona non grata within the Middle East, or permanently excluded from entry by any member state. Custom Union: Duty-free access to the ME market for nearly all products originating in the countries is granted by all member states. |
