OOC: The Trial of Michael Harris

Ok, I'm about to start planning the trial IC for the guy who tried to conquer Iceland. I figured we could use this thread for any OOC chatter for the trial.

One question I'm curious about is whether or not you can add a poll after you make a topic without one, or if you can change the poll in a topic, or at least edit it. The reason I ask is because I plan to use a few different polls for this trial which I'll start at different times. I'd plan on posting the first poll as the trial begins, where I'll have you guys decide whether he is guilty by willful reasons, guilty by insanity, or not guilty. Then I'll have a jury debate the issue while you vote on his sentence. Pending the result of that poll, if he is found guilty I'll post another poll, possibly in a different topic, to determine how he will be sentenced. I plan to have discussion in that topic IC amongst the jury about whether he should be executed or simply sentenced to life in prison in a given location. If found guilty by insanity, I'll put him in a mental institution for the rest of his life.

First and foremost, what can I do with the polls?

No idea what you can do, but I know that I append them.

If you can, you will know better than I.

You should be able to add polls to your discretion. You should also be able to change the topic title. Like RD, I definitely know I can do it with the threads I start, though I cannot say I have actually done it in some time.

Hmm. I seem to be able to edit these if I wanted. Why is this?

I'll be watching this topic with interest. That way, I can see how to organize Gassel's eventual trial...

Because you have some mod powers as a map maker.

Just to continue the OOC discussion, would Ireland be willing to allow Harris to be tried in Tara? And who should serve as judge?

Yep. Tara would be perfect. The O'Neill can be the judge, or someone else who actually is a judge.

Adding a poll to the thread in terms of where the trial will be. London, Reykjavik or Tara. Pick as if you were representing your own nation's opinion, and pick the sites which would be acceptable to them.

EDIT: Narrowed it down to Tara and Reykjavik, since I spaced it badly. One choice only. Sorry to be an irritant.

24 hours from now, I'm closing the poll and moving forward with the RP.

I'm also looking for different people to RP as an official jury, or perhaps as news media from their nation. They can be any nationality but they must be impartial in regards to the case, acting like a real jury at any case.

Is Sigmund still playing this game? If not, I'm putting the trial in Tara. If he's still up for it, let me know.

Is the jury set, or are you still looking for people?

The jury's largely a symbolic thing for IC discussion. Still putting up a poll anyway to decide the verdict. We'll see what happens.

I PMed Att about his brother, apparently he's not going to be on the forums for the trial. Anyone want to RP the Icelandic prosecution in the trial until he returns?

I would, but, IC, Venice can't justly defend him because they were involved in the incident.

Well, England is going to have to provide a public defender if no one else decides to do it.

I suggest he should have a Roman defense attorney. I would do the RP, but since I'm already RPing the judge it would get a little redundant... or something.

Bump? Anyone interested in serving as a defense attorney? Otherwise, I may have Harris attempt to be his own defender. I'm ready to get this going.

Haha, oh wow! I completely forgot about this. I do apologize for holding this up. Look for the Icelandic intro later today/tonight.
