Once again, tensions were high with Ireland. Out of the blue the Irish insisted on punishing and intimidating the Celtic people. Their justifications to such belligerence was the changing of the title of the Welsh/Scot nation. They had obviously misinterepreted it, and now was intent on destryoing the newly formed Celtic Empire. Now it was time for the Celtic to stop this mindless aggression. Alastair MacGregor was the man chosen to do the diplomatic job. He was calm and reserved, and although new to government and international work, he had plenty of experience from his diplomacy work among the Highlanders. MacGregor insisted on arriving on the Irish's doorstep, as if they called before hand, they most likely would have been denied an appearance in the court. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The plane landed with a soft thud as it reached Dublin. MacGregor immediately rented a cab and was on his way to the government building. Stepping out of the cab, he looked at the vast building that lay before him; he knew that this would be no easy meeting. Entering the building, MacGregor motioned to one of the secretaries sitting at the counter. "Tell whoever is in charge that a Celtic diplomat is here to discuss peace matters. I request an audience with the King." |

The secretary responded, obviously amused. "A Celtic diplomat?" He chuckled. "From which nation?" |

MacGregor looked at the secretary sourly "I am from the Welsh-Highlander Union. I wish to speak with the King." |

"The High King is currently abroad. I am sure I could gain you a meeting with the Ó Néill, however. He is currently in a meeting, but as he is handling the High King's affairs while he is away, I am sure Lord Ó Néill would be happy to receive you." OOC: I promise I'll get to this after the Romania and Hibernia thread. I just like to see the results of certain talks before I get to others. Edited by Sedulius, Feb 3 2010, 02:29 PM.

With the meeting of the Ó Néill and Lord Aldebaran finished, the Scottish emissary was contacted with the request to join the Ó Néill in his meeting chambers. |
