Chris Christie is Governor of New Jersey. Not that I particularly liked Corzine, but on pure aesthetic level, Corzine barely wins out. Maine disallowed gay marriage. SEPTA Bus, Subway, and Trolley Services are all canceled because the workers are striking. Thousands of people have been absolutely screwed by this (the workers have absolutely no sympathy in the city). So the trains, which are the only things running, have been filled to the brim. Which is okay, half an hour delays aren't *terrible*. Then, outside the station I take the train to every morning, a train burts into flames. Posted Image If the Phillies don't win tonight I might go on a murderous rampage. |

I've always disliked Corzine, he has always reminded me of some professors I had back in the 60's that was always out to stur things up. Your day regarding the trains sounds like the average day in Detroit, sans gun fire. |

You didn't hear, the Yankees bought (like everything else) their win. God I hate the Yankees, perhaps one of the few things in this word I truly hate with any great passion. :furious: Edited by NRE, Nov 4 2009, 08:15 PM.

I'm rooting for the Yankees, sorry.
The core of the Yankees' team was developed in the farm system and wasn't bought: Jeter, Posada, Rivera, and Pettitte. Jeter and Rivera are certain first-ballot Hall of Famers, and Posada and Pettitte both have a case for being in the Hall of Fame. So you have to consider that the best players on the Yankees came up from the farm system and their success in the 90s was what allowed the Yankees to buy the high-priced players later on in the 2000s. Stinking Yankee lies I say, stinking lies! Ever since Babe Ruth through Roger Marris and A-Rod the stinking, filthy, lieing, cheating, nasty, right field shortening bums have bought championships with their big market bucks! Then, when other teams try to do the same thing they cry and moan (Koenig playing for the Cubs) and cheat some more. They are the rottenist sports franchise in the world - even worse than Manchester Union. Throw money here, toss money there, feed their players money, buy them publicity. I hate the Yankees. The Yankees suck donkey dick. The Bronx should be sold to anyone with a bulldozer. Pin stripes are ugly. |
