I can't do much with the Roman Empire until I start actually fighting the Turks. How exactly do I go about doing this?

I'm thinking of switching over to the Turks.

NPCs. Let the mods know, and I'm sure someone will be available.

TC, you've gone from half the HRE, to considering leaving, to the Neatherlands. No more changes! Stick with your nation!

I disagree, having the Turks would be awesome.

I have a friend who wants to play the turks its just convincing him to come back to NS. (You older members will remember al-andalus stopping HCI from unifying portugal for a while)

I just have to wait for him to get back from Calgary... so rejoice everyone we might have turks.

Yeah he loves the ottomans and when I told him about someone being the Byzantines and there were no Turks he said that there needed to be Turks.

I'm sure he can give you the whole story when he finally remembers his password. The good news, he has an old account so the Turks will actually have some muscle behind them. Which is always a plus.

Well, that's not going to be good thing IC for me, but we do need some damn Turks.

Let's hope it's not 1453 all over again.

We got to keep this thing moving a little, it already feels like its dying. Or that could just be me, since I'm so far away from all the excitement.

Convince E to start a war, talk with Tou's France, TC's Netherlands, and Kas' Danes.

You want to be friendly with the French and Dutch because they share your channel. The Danes would be a useful ally as they block your easiest route to eastern Europe.

You want Ireland, so start attacking the anarchists after you've gathered some allies! Don't forget my mercenaries.

There's plenty for you to do, and thats just local. The Iberian Peninsula offers more opportunities. You can also try taking Norway, liberate your Saxon forefathers or subject them to punishment for causing such harm years earlier.

But Kas and TC at agitated at each other, so alliances would be difficult.

Plus Tou isn't going to be on for awhile because of his new girlfriend.

So that leaves me extremely weak, and if I do anything, any nation could easily wipe me off the map.

But I might use your mercenaries, how exactly do they work again?

Condottieri.

The system I proposed will change when I figure something out, but for now that's how it'll work. No alliances are required and the mercenaries are not recognized as Venetian troops, operating independantly.

In NS1 you're allied with the Falklands and Venice, both of which hate each other. Here, it's totally plausible to be allied with warring parties. Especially in this time period.

That's why you need to ally with the Turks and become the Turkish fifth column in Europe :P

If Drax's friend is playing as the Ottomans then I'll invent a fictional Turkish dynasty and ally with him to aggress against Constantinople and Trebizond as the fictional army.

If you and Kas weren't fighting, I would have set up a alliance of some sort between us.....

Like I already said, who says you can't? In this time period, nations were allied with warring factions many times.

How would an alliance between 3 people, two of which who are fighting each other, work? It can't be an alliance between the 3 of us if Kas and TC are fighting.

Just don't side with either one in the war, trade with both, and treat them equally. If Kas blockades TC, don't trade with either. It's simple.

Well, first they have to reply back.

I'm sorry if I'm sounding crazy or irrational right now. All these drugs and painkillers and antibiotics are making me insane and agitated. I don't know up from down and I'm freaking out.I'm supposed to be writing this analysis but I'm freaking and my head is cloudy and I'm yelling at every noise I hear and everyone i see. I am officially crazy.

I think I'm going to make the Northern Alliance: Wales, Russia, Netherlands, and the Danes.

Tell me if anyone is interested.

You know I'll always sympathize with the Irish. If I get powerful enough, fleets and armies will be coming that way.
